I love this place. Very cool venue with so much space!! The only drawback is the court reservation system. I wish they would open up reservations weekly or something because I was wanting to host a regular event for a singles group here but the courts are completely booked for MONTHS on Tuesday nights. Had a great time here visiting from Dallas. We brought Fluff, our beautiful pup, and she had the time of her life frolicking in the dog park while we sipped on a gracious selection of ice cold beers. Sunday's here are probably amazing as they have volleyball courts and like 100 TVs! I can see football and drunken volleyball in my near future. I would come with my boyfriend and his coworkers out to play volleyball until today that we were playing on a UNRESERVED net and this white lady came up to us demanding to let her and her husband have the court when we were there first . They then came again threatening us if we wanted to get the cops called on because the lady came at us all disrespectfully about her not getting her way and the court . Enough to say that the court was unreserved but somehow the staff kicked us out although we didn't do anything wrong and they knew that . Not sure if this was because of race or she had some privileges on top of us that we were unaware of but definitely put a different image for this place ! The space was a nice outdoor spot but the pop up crawfish spot ran out after one an hour. They were Not prepared.

Neat place but coolers are disgusting. Beer had slime all over it. Food trucks were not opened when they were supposed to be.

I love this place. Great for dogs especially with the dog park and has volleyball courts and an insane amount of outdoor seating, because it's all outdoor! Last I was there they had no walls and just a roof which made it feel super airy and great on the lights in Houston where you want to be outside! Oh wow, what a great spot! We got there right around 5 after work and it was such a chill vibe. There was some live music and though it wasn't too impressive, the band was interactive and lifted the mood of people getting out of work. As the night progressed we saw some awesome dogs that were doing tricks! The owners were incredibly friendly and really added to the light hearted mood. As the night progressed, we were fortunate enough to see a great sunset with the spot being completely outdoors. One of my main concerns with places like this is the bathrooms but nope! Modern and clean! Drinks were fairly priced though none of the cocktails really stood out to me. My coworker did get a drink with a flower in it and it and she thought it was super cute. I was invited to try one of their ciders and that became my drink for the night. Tvs all around so they put on the Texans game as a ton of people showed up to watch. We were looking to get out but still stay safe when we say the yelp listing. There were plenty of room so you don't have to be near anyone and the bartenders we're really nice. The restrooms were exceptional clean and they have a good sized parking lot. The offer volley ball courts as well. I throughly enjoyed going there. Seeing as how it has been greatly affected by coronavirus, I can completely understand the dog park section of the venue not being the top priority. In the end it remedied my problem of needing a nearby park. They were entertained so it served its purpose. Wish it had at least one watering station for large and small dogs or a separate area for the two. The size was a little small for a dog park but I was happy that I was able to sit on new patio lounge chairs. At its worst being effected by a pandemic and economical crisis, I would still return with my dogs. The fact that it's not specifically a dog park as the ad comes across as to someone searching "dog park", should probably be reworded. It's a venue geared towards social gathering not parks. Awesome community idea- the seating area and volley ball court looked incredible. It's a matter of advertisement which disappointed me and not so much the business. The owner did respectfully and promptly contact me and was a very cool guy to communicate with. It showed his concern for customer satisfaction and his interest in their opinions. read more

Powder Keg is a really really cool concept and spot. A few improvements and this place could be stellar! I didn't actually realize Powder Keg was all outside. It is a very (emphasis on very) large covered space with a storage container for the bar and for the bathrooms. There are tables, tvs, fans everywhere underneath the covered space. On the day we went in particular, it was very comfortable outside. Additionally, there are a handful of really nice volleyball courts. Because everything is open air, dogs are welcome! We love our 20 lb Boston Terrier puparoo and love places that are great with dogs. Powder Keg is one of those places. They have dog bowls by the bar with a water station, dog treats, a dog park, a dog washing area (I also think this serves as the feet washing station for sand volleyball), etc. After getting a drink (they had a great selection of beers and liquor with very reasonable prices), we headed over to the dog park. Here is the area where I see Powder Keg can improve. The dog park was a very nice touch and I loved the chairs in the middle so the owners could chat BUT it was insanely muddy. Like, we left with our dog being full of mud and us being covered in mud (as dogs jump and we had to walk through the mud too). Gravel or some kind of doggie turf is definitely needed. The space was also not that big. They have a ton of land, so expanding that gate line would be nice. I am sure I am being greedy with this request but a separate small dog section would be nice. Our dog was the smallest by a long shot and got trampled by the big boys.....he held his own....sorta ha. I also think throwing in some dog jungle gym things would really enhance the space; like a ramp or a dog kiddie pool. Overall, I and our dog really enjoyed coming out here and we will definitely return! PS- We did not eat here but they had a taco truck onsite. read more

So excited this outdoor bar opened so close by to home and dog friendly! Has lots of space, and even a nice volley ball area. However, I do wish they had food served here or at least a food truck of some sort to enjoy while you're drinking. Beer prices are a bit higher than I would have imagined too. Really like the location. Has a great size dog park and chairs inside so you can drink while watching your pup have fun. They even have treats and water bowls for them. Oh not to mention they have sand volleyball courts and a wash station when you're done. The taco truck they have is super good. Don't leave without getting the fish bowl gin and tonic! read more

Not what we were expecting but overall it was a good place. My only complaints are that the dog park is a little small and the drinks were overpriced. We spent $13 on two drinks which was more expensive than other places. The vibe is fun and its a great addition to the Spring Branch area which doesn't seem to have a lot of these places. read more

I always love coming here. It's very laid back. If you don't want to be around a lot of little ones though, I'd suggest going a little after 7pm. They have a nice sized dog park, volleyball and our personal favorite, two ping pong tables. I highly recommend. I'm not usually a going out type of person, because I don't like to deal with anyone rude or a place not welcoming. However when I first called the they were so welcoming and open to any questions I had. Arriving the whole presence of the place was just a chill relaxing type which is very unusual to find. They had music going the whole time which it wasn't my type of music, but wasn't horrible. The drink menu was great and definitely inexpensive.
