I contracted with Power Home Remodeling to install Vinyl windows in my home. I am satisfied with the Pella windows but I am not at all happy with the installation crew or Power. The job was to replace my wood windows with the Pella vinyl windows. (1) When install crew arrived I did a walk through with them and pointed out my wiring for my security system that needed to be left exposed and where to leave the wiring. Not only did they not leave wires where I had directed them but they left very little wires exposed. There was ample enough wire to be left but that didn't happen. (2) I knew I had some water damage to one of my windows and payed extra for the window framing repair. The window installers tried to install new window without repairing water damage. I was observing them and stopped them and had them to make the repair I had payed extra for. Also there was a communication issue with install crews. Power did a VISUIALLY beautiful job on my new siding when seen from a distance and the tech, Marcus was prompt and performed his craft with pride. Power representatives taught me a lot about siding and Marcus explained many techniques as he worked. I am so excited about the way my house looks- from a distance, but there was a lot of damage done, wires strewn on the ground, still picking up nails the end of May right through July. There were some issues that needed to be fixed and Power sent a tech out who did a sloppy job of repairing the issues, which is a matter of the worker bringing personal biases, sizing me up and doing work accordingly. I had to call someone else again. This was in April and they made me wait until June to come out to make repairs. Meanwhile, I am paying the bill. Customer service gives cult-like answers and will not let me speak to a manager.. My window screen has holes in it and the tech said nothing, a section of my porch railing was cut out for the tech's convenience and put back in a makeshift manner with drywall screws and plastered with caulking. The top railing was separating from the spokes. My lights do not work in my screen room along with the security light and fan. All of the light outlets were put in upside down and the panel that operates the ceiling fan and lights was also put in upside down. My fireplace vent was completely sealed off; outside vents are there to prevent carbon monoxide from entering the house. My dryer vent was removed and completely sealed off and when Marcus came back to put it back, he put a frame on the outside, but did not put the pipe in or seal the open cavity in my home, which is a fire hazard safety violation that will be reported along with sealing off my fireplace vent. This was a serious safety violation and no one from the office gave a hoot. Now, I cannot hook up a dryer. there are ugly smeared caulking around my windows where they were encased. The outlet caps that I paid an electrician for were taken away and replaced with some cheap covers from Home Depot. They are crooked. and not flush with the wall. The front 2 covers don't even even match. One electrical outlet in the back I cannot open anymore and I paid an electrician for this work. Just the week of May, I discovered a large gap in my screen room big enough for a snake to get through. When the tech leaves a gap, he knows it is there, but his biases kick in and tell him that he can get away with it here and he was justified by every manager that came to my house. Another problem I ran into this week is with my downspout which is leaking and is crookedly attached to the drain pipe. ' I just discovered unfinished siding in the front of my house and there is a crooked J channel over my garage door. the top J channel looks like pagodas because they were sloppily installed. I looked at the caulking around the garage door jambs and it is filthy; this is only 4 months in. It will be super filthy in 4 more months. I paid $800 to have my garage door jambs wrapped in October 2024 and they were perfect and clean because the correct caulking was used. Now Power contractor presented the same problem I got rid of. Power has taken so much from me. They took down my nice gutters that had a lifetime warranty and put some cheap gutters up just to give a contractor some work. Now my pipe is back up that was flowing nicely for the last 26 years. Some of the siding was cut too short and looks like .... My telephone jacks don't work anymore because the installer took the box off of the wall. When I called , I was told that they are told not to take the box off; now my jacks don't work anymore. Both the contractor and helper solicited me for work on day 1. The helper pissed out in my backyard and the F word was flying and I heard it several times and even to my face. At this point I am very disappointed with Power Home Remodeling, their customer service, and lack of care. The managers try to talk away any damage like the hole near the corner of the window J channel. Their slogan is, 'Our Work Shows, but what shows on my house is sloppy, makeshift, careless work. while acting as an employee, the assistant solicited work for his illegal company on day one saying that he works with Power and they funnel work to him for his business building decks. read more

Through the winter. We are an elderly couple. At this point the tarp the put up is failing and now need a new complete window as the water has come in. No one has called to update us. One person did the initial measurements (Kirsten) who spent 2 hours going over window styles and features, another person came prior to the windows being made to measure a second time for accuracy. Alex and Yuri were the installers once the windows were made. They were very kind, efficient and cleaned up behind them. They also had tips about my new windows which also was great. Let me be clear: I regret choosing Power Home Remodeling. I had a brand‑new roof and gutter system installed by Canopy Roofing in August 2025. Perfect work. Zero issues. In November, I hired Power for siding. They told me my four‑month‑old gutters had to come off and that doing so would void the warranty. I considered calling Canopy to reinstall them afterward, but Power talked me out of it. They pushed their "bigger, better, no‑guard‑needed" gutters and even offered me a "deal" to replace my perfectly good system. That "deal" has turned into a liability. Three months after installation, my roof was visibly bowed and my gutters were overflowing. Canopy inspected the situation and immediately identified the problem: Power's installers physically damaged my roof by forcing the shingles upward during gutter installation. Canopy fixed the damage for free--because they're professionals. Power, on the other hand, gave me a canned speech about how their gutters "don't need guards." Meanwhile, mine were clogged solid after three months. Their solution? They'd "note" my account so adding guards "should be fine." If your product fails in under 90 days, the warranty is meaningless. And a "deal" that results in roof damage and non‑functional gutters is not a deal. As I write this, it's been raining for three days straight. My gutters--cleaned less than two months ago--are failing on every side of my home. Waterfalls everywhere. Zero functionality. I guess my new gutters mean monthly gutter cleanings... Power Home Remodeling sold me a defective system, damaged my roof, and then tried to talk their way around it. EDIT: My gutters were cleaned just two months ago, but the real issue has been the downspouts. Even with the gutters clear, the downspout openings keep clogging with hardwood leaves and debris, which causes the entire gutter system to overflow during rain. The elbows at the top of the downspouts seem to be the main choke point, and the openings are too small to handle the amount of leaf fall around my property. Because of this, the gutters back up and spill over the edges long before they should need another cleaning. I feel like this is definitely an installation issue that should have been A. Accounted for at installation or B. considered When I called about my issue when they sent a guy out to check the angle of my gutter slope. Now, here I am, a 57 year old woman climbing a ladder to clean out downspouts 2 months after a gutter cleaning because the much heralded special coating doesn't help the debris clear the last and most important hurdle...the downspout. read more

I have had these windows in my home for 10+ years. I just called to get a warranty claim put in and was told my windows were NO LONGER under warranty, due to the fact that they changed manufacturers 2yrs ago. Due to that fact, they also informed me that I would have to pay $180 per window to have them replaced. I have 7 windows that have this issue. (the gas between the double pane is leaking causing the window to look dirty) I paid a LOT of money for these windows and now I have to pay more??????????? WTAF????? I applied here not knowing anything about them. they make you seem like you are a genius to get you to work for them. for the sales rep position, they don't pay for miles even tho u are driving around in your car for them. its fine if they paid you well which would cover that but they don't. the salary isn't guaranteed so don't fall for the 75k+ starting. the base is 25k plus performance "bonuses" which aren't even explained before an offer letter is sent. they take advantage of old people to get sales. company seems sus just from interviewing but i have had a few friends work for them and quit after a few weeks bc of management and their system. it doesn't make sense if you're looking to make actual money. could make more $ working a retail position read more

My husband was required to be present at the time of the sale pitch meeting (huh??) And it was more money than I wanted to spend. And since my windows were installed , I've learned that I could've spent way less if I had used another company. Also, the creditor they use is Stream Financial. Super antiquated! Everything from their online payments to calling you when you're a few days behind feels like such an old model of business. I wish I would've just waited. I want to let Power Home Remodeling know how dissatisfied I am with their service. PHR team is GREAT with getting the sales, making sure customers keep their appointments and the number of phone calls they make to you TO GET THE SALE. After they complete the install, they are through. What about a call to see if a customer is satisfied with their install? What about a call to see if was to their satisfaction. None of those things happen. I know PHR is big on reviews so I want to make sure that I give one on every platform. When they installed my over$20,000 windows, the windows were left dirty, chips of glass was left on the floor and the trim around my custom window made the window look like it was out of shape (and still does). I called them to express my dissatisfaction and they sent the guys out to correct everything (except my custom window), they said that was the best they could do. Well, it's my fault for using them again to install my over $20,000 doors. When the guy came by on my complaint about the windows, he saw that I express interest in doors and again that great sales pitch happened (and I loved the doors). Well, again they installed the items and you should see how they left them. Wow! I did bring it to the installer attentions about their framing being smaller than the one that was up there. He stated they didn't have anything to go around it. Wait, you have an entire remolding department, why don't you have some to fix it. You tell me, my doors are suppose to look worst than when you came? I called once again (because as mentioned before, they call to see if you are satisfied). Fool me once, shame on you. Our questions were answered clearly and were provided with different options that worked for us. For 8 upper windows, the pricing was fair and financing was available. They arrived on-time to the appointment and were incredibly professional. They got right to work after the arrived and were easily able to take out and replace our own damaged windows. They were both incredibly efficient and had the project completed in 3 hours. The cleaned up their work, put in new sighting, and cleaned the windows before they left. Absolutely love the work they did and the windows look great!! They came to my house offering me a free estimate on my siding, I agreed and scheduled for a Sunday and they never showed up. They proceeded to call my boyfriend and I over and over multiple times after that day. After feeling harassed for days I finally answered and declined rescheduling. Suddenly the Town of Stallings Code Enforcement was notified of my siding and has given me a citation letting me know if it is not fixed by April 30th I will have to pay $100 a day after that date until it is fixed and may possibly face legal action. I am sure Power Home Remodeling Group is certain I will need them to fix my siding now since they reported me to the town code enforcement just to make some money, but I will never ever considering using them now. This company came to our community and knocked at my door. I tried to be nice to the worker who is around 30 years old. I know this worker's name but for now I don't put his name here to protect him as I dont know did that from himself or from his company's pushing. I don't know if his life has some hard time. We had our windows installed and every single time it rains we regret having it done. Windows in our basement were sealed improperly and every heavy rainstorm, obvious leaks cause flooding in what was previously a bone dry basement. Whoever they subcontracted the job to should have their business shut down. I have reached out to Power Remolding multiple times via email and phone and have not been able to get anyone to come out and resolve the issue. I was pleased with the windows that were installed, so much so that I hired them to install a new front door. It was a 6k installation. I would never recommend anyone do business with them after this experience. There are gaps in the door that u can clearly see daylight when the door is closed. It's better when the door is locked but still no better than the door I had previously. I complain and someone comes out and tightens the screws in the faceplate and a month later it's still not acceptable. They crow about a warranty but I have heard nothing from them in the last few months that I continue to complain. I have pictures that document the gaps in the door and I'm in the process of getting a home inspector to do a thermal inspectio. read more

I said OK, gave him my contact info, and we agreed on a date and time. While we were standing in the dark in 34 degree weather, He then contacted his office and they asked me all the same questions again. She then asked me to say "yes" over the phone so they could ROBO call me and share my personal information. Finally, she indicated they would not provide an estimate to me unless my wife was in the meeting. I realized this was likely going to be a high pressure sales presentation. However, I would not hire a company for a $20,000 to $30,000 job after only one estimate, anyway. I saw another review in Yelp complaining that they took advantage of an 80-year-old couple. The window installation was completed four days ago (March 21st). Today, I received a call from a man named Derek from Power Home Model. He asked how I planned to make the payment. I told him that I hadn't received any bill or notice yet. I also mentioned that I intended to pay two-thirds of the total amount in cash and the remaining balance by credit card. However, he immediately requested my credit card number on the spot. I explained that during the installation, one of Power Home Model's employees had told me that as long as I made the payment within two weeks after installation, there would be no interest charged. I asked Derek to send me the bill within that period, but he kept insisting on getting my credit card number right away. I told him that I was only available this Saturday and that if he came to my house then, I would make the payment. After that, I ended the call. Power has been such a great addition to my family home however, after this experience, I felt humiliated. This left me deeply disappointed in Power Home Model. bought our house during the covid madness. not the highest quality of buildings and way over paid for this home. one major project I wanted to get done was the windows. cheapest quality windows with mold build up in between panes on almost every window. drafty. etc. looked into a few places and if this home was a little better I would have definitely gone top of the line with Anderson, but the money spent on those windows for this house doesn't make sense. so Power home remodeling sold me on a decent quality Pella window and doors for the house. Had all windows replaced except the 2 in the garage. this was in 2023. minor errors on measuring and delay to deck door pushed project back several weeks. No big problem they definitely sold the company and everything was going to be ok. I just wanted to get rid of old windows. even though there were some promises made and not kept we were happy to have some decent windows and doors in the house. Fast forward to the day we're cleaning up a room with one window. painting and all around refresh. while cleaning the window my wife noticed a small crack it is in the middle of the window and its between the the panes of glass. I made a mistake thinking the windows were still pretty new I figured when I got around to it the company, Power home, would fix this. but I was mistaken...even thought we paid over $27k this crack isn't covered and they would gladly replace the single window of a double hung and I would have to pay for it. I am sorry even today as I write this these windows are just over 2 years old. But I didn't report it within the 1 year of the warrantee. From the sales process to the final delivery and install we are very much satisfied The communications were very clear about the day of install and all the other information related to it.
