They lie and say they've done this and they've done that but after the first questionable service I started marking the oil filters and putting torque seal on some hardware to be able to verify the work has been done and they've lied a few times and can't be trusted. They won't own up to it they'll just comp you a service and not do something else. It was going good at first- but not even a day after started I noticed MAJOR OIL LEAKING. have been going through at least a quart a week! Now I don't know much about cars but there is NO WAY you miss that big of leakage during inspection and no way that is my fault or just from ware- that is neglect. I feel taken advantage of. We bought a brand-new 2024 Honda Accord EX from this dealership, but the vehicle had issues from day one. They lied to us, claiming the car had only been on the lot for 40 days. In reality, it had been sitting outside for 4 to 5 months, exposed to sun and rain. And when the car was delivered to us, the body was full of swirl marks and scratches, but we didn't notice it at the time -- we realized it two or three days later. Now it will cost us between 300$ to 500$ to polish the car to fix this issue. From day one, the steering needed alignment, which I had to take to a different dealer to fix. The rear right window also had a defect, which again, I had to get repaired at another dealership. Both right-side doors have been making extremely annoying rattling noises since the beginning, and that issue still hasn't been resolved. ATTENTION: Do not buy a car from this dealership! Even if you do, be aware that their good Google reviews don't reflect honesty or transparency in their work. There is a real possibility they might sell you a problematic car while hiding the truth. I'm scheduled to take the car to them this Thursday to see if they can fix the door issues. If they fully fix all the problems, I will update this review accordingly. read more

The gentlemen who work in the service department here are truly class acts. I had a service representative named Garret. This was my vehicles second opinion. The first opinion was a complete engine rebuild. The team went above and beyond in their investigation, discovering that there were damaged wires in the wiring harness causing the issue. Garret and the team went above and beyond doing repairs on damaged wires resulting in a simple diagnostic charge for the services. I cannot thank him and the team enough for this. They came up with the best decision for me and my family. These are truly honest men and I will be recommending their services to all Honda owners in the area. read more

Started the morning considering getting another Ridgeline. Started to inquire online and most sales people wouldn't really answer any of my questions without "coming down to the dealship". Then I recieved an email from Uli at Power Honda. Answered my questions, was to the point and we started the process. They had the color I wanted. Power Honda is located over an hour away but Uli was professional and we communicated well with each other. Randy then took over to deal with the paperwork and financing. Great guy and very thorough. Process was easy. From the point I came in to the time I left was a couple hours. By the end of the day, I drove my Ridgeline home. Did I pay too much...not really when comparing other dealerships. Actually saved a little money overall with a great rate. Could I have talked with a local dealership and have them transfer the car that I wanted...yes, there are 6 dealerships within a 20 minute drive from my house. But the fact that I didn't feel like I was getting the run around, I chose to make the trip. Uli made the difference by being on top of it and no nonsense. read more

Just bought a brand new 2020 suv here. Went bc if the reviews. Overall experience was ok. Kept saying "we will take care of you" over and over. Well, it took quite a bit of negotiating but got to a good price and a pretty good trade in. Ordered cross bars, floor mats and splash guards. Our dealer said nothing was in so we had to order it but it would be in the next day. We live 1.5 hrs away and have 2 kids under 3. Not easy to arrange our schedule but we did. Called to double check (thank god we did). Paperwork wasn't even filed 2 days later and they had the floor mats in stock when we bought the car. Still never received a call when it was in. Had to call again. Now I'm still waiting when the dealer said it would take less than 30 min and it's been about an hour. Not too happy. Update: service department went above and beyond to explain their side to me and filled my car up. Thank you. However, I did get my car home and they didn't even take the original mats out but simply put the new ones on top. How simple of a task to make a customer happy and do things the right way? Power Honda of Albany is who I trust to get my car oil changed. Shout out to Derrel at the service desk, always kind and cheerful! Power Honda does not rush oil changes and makes sure you leave the lot with clean and clear oil in your system. Though I never wait longer than 45 minutes. That is including a vacuum and car wash. Sales department have been great to my family and I as well. My parents were shopping and wanted to purchased a vehicle from University Honda in Corvallis. We walked around the lot for 20 minutes and we're not greeted by any salesman. Annoyed, we drove straight to Power Honda of Albany, were greeted right after parking, and drove a new car of the lot in the next hour. I purchased my Honda Civic from power Honda and has a great experience with Moe my salesman. Two months later I got a flat tire. I took My car to les Schwab and they said there was a split in the tire. They said it was a cheap tire and due to the flaw to take it back to the dealership. The service department at power Honda said it was a pinhole that cause the flat tire and that it wasn't covered. I asked how the pinhole leak could have gotten there. They said it was from me driving into a curb... Super disappointed to see a business tell me the flaw in their product was my fault to save a couple hundred bucks. I purchased a car in August. It was a car that I could use on the weekends to do my laundry and grocery shop. A total of 3 miles. However, I did use it to visit friends and go home for Thanksgiving. So, after the purchase on my way back to California, mind you mid-August, the AC went out. Next trip to Redding had to stop 30 miles out, oil light came on... no oil, had to add 4+ quarts. Next my car over heated, no fluids in the radiator and battery died. On my way back to California from Thanksgiving weekend my alternator went bad and battery died leaving me stranded near Ashland on I-5. When Power Honda sold me the car, there were no fluids in the vehicle. I know this sounds petty, but they didn't even give me the code to work the radio. Do not buy a vehicle from them and if you do be warned. I am spending over 3 thousand dollars to have it repaired. After researching for a couple of weeks and visiting several dealerships, I purchased a 2017 Honda CR-V EX AWD from Jordan Snyder through the Costco Auto Program. I wanted to save a trip to the dealership so most of my interaction with Jordan was via phone or email, which was convenient. It wasn't until my car actually reached the dealership did I have to go in. The detailed out the door price that was quoted was exactly what I paid. I was not surprised with any hidden charges, dealer added accessories, etc. unlike at several other Honda dealerships north of Albany. Car buying can be stressful. However, my experience with this dealership has restored my faith that it is possible to have a fairly smooth auto purchase transaction. Jordan was honest (appears to be a rare trait in the industry), upfront, and communicative with all the details throughout the process. Although it was an all cash deal for me, I worked with Randy, the finance manager, to sign all the forms. He did present me with all the usual extended warranty options but was not pushy at all, which I appreciated, when I politely declined each one. DISHONEST THIEVES! I went into the service department with a leaking radiator. The car had never overheated. The service writer took eight hours to get back to me. When he did, he proceeded to tell me that my head gasket was blown, couldn't be replaced, and I had to buy a whole new engine for $3300.00! I took the car to an HONEST mechanic who replaced the radiator and now I'm problem free. The absolute WORST example of a dishonest repair shop I've EVER SEEN! This review is solely for the service department. It is one star because their service department has an inadequate knowledge of their products. At best. We went to this place and asked about getting a trailer hitch installed on our Pilot. A guy spent over fifteen minutes staring at a computer and then called over a supervisor. After another fifteen minutes we were told that they can't find a part number for one so it must not be available. Exasperated, we went to another Honda dealership in the area and they told us, without having to look anything up, that a hitch was already installed and we just had to remove a cover panel to access it. We have been so satisfied with Randy in the finance dept. and Jordan on the sales team that we will go back and back. We love our Hondas but not always is that what we are in the market that. I saw a car listed on Autotrader at this location and called ahead to make sure it was actually there before I made the drive all the way out to Albany with my two small kids in tow. The salesman assured me it was. Forty-five minutes later I'm there, and the same salesman tells me the car I asked about is in Lincoln City. So either he lied to me directly, or he didn't bother to look up the answer my question when I called. He probably figured that if he told me yes on the phone, I'd come out, and then he could just try to sell me something else. It doesn't cost him anything if I take a chunk out of my day on a fool's errand. What does he care about me and my interests? Well, this is the kind of thing that earns you a scathing Yahoo review. I have a Honda that I leased and wanted to get financing through Honda financial to purchase it out. My co-signer was in California and I live in Oregon, which made my purchase a little more difficult. We called the Salem Honda, the original Honda dealer I leased from and Honda financial and were unable to get anyone who could help up. Salem Honda and the original dealer spent their time trying to get me into a new car instead and honda financial kept telling me to go to a dealer. It was extremely frustrating. A colleague of mine mentioned I try Power Honda and I am so glad I did. I called and spoke with Jordan Snyder, and he solved all of our problems quickly and efficiently. He answered all my questions and got everything set for me to get financing with Honda before my lease end date. Here's a quick summary: 1. I purchased a car from Power Honda with a problem. 2. I took it in and they said NOTHING was wrong with it. 3. A non-dealer mechanic looked at it and found the problem. 4. I went back and they reluctantly agreed to fix it. 5. They replaced ONE part and nothing else that needed to be replaced 6. My car still had the same problem. 7. I had to pay $650 to a non-dealer mechanic to have it fixed properly. 8. A $4000 warranty would have been a huge waste of money since they couldn't find or fix the problem with my car. The first vehicle I bought from Power Honda was pretty good. They were a bit pushy, but that's how dealerships are. The second vehicle I bought was pretty good, but it had a problem. I understand that when you buy a car it is an as-is agreement. But they could have handled the situation a LOT better. When I was still checking out the car, the salesman pulled out the dipstick and jumped a little. I looked and the oil seemed to be about half a quart low. I should have taken that as a warning sign. Within two weeks the low oil light was on. Also sometimes a lot of smoke would come out. I went back and they kept telling me that I should have purchased the $4000 warranty. My car cost $11,000. They agreed to look at it for free. They found NOTHING wrong with it. I took it to another mechanic and he said it was the crank case vent valve. I took it back to Power Honda and asked how they could have missed the problem, both when they first purchased the car and when I brought it back in. They said they weren't as familiar with my make of car. So they agreed to pay Power Volkswagen to fix it. Power Volkswagen replaced the vent valve and noted that the valve COVER was stripped. My car ran exactly the same after that. I assumed the repair was done correctly and the smoking and oil burning were from some other undiagnosed problem. I took it in to another mechanic. It turned out it was still the crank case vent valve. The problem was that it couldn't be fastened tightly due to the valve cover being stripped. Also some tubes were supposed to be replaced. It cost me $650 to have everything fixed properly. I went back to Power Volkswagen. It looked like they were GOING to replace the vent valve cover as well, but were authorized by Power Honda ONLY to replace the vent valve. It made no sense to repair only the valve when it couldn't be tightened on correctly. That would be like going in for a flat tire, and having them just fill it with air and calling it fixed. They offered me about $50, the cost of the vent valve. I figured I would just not accept it and write this review instead. If you buy a car there, don't buy the warranty because their mechanics aren't that great. Don't go to them with any problems because they'll just waste your time and do the bare minimum to get you off their back. read more

I purchased my Honda Accord from Power Honda in Albany back in October of 2011. I have taken it there for regular tune ups, oil changes and service work loyally since buying it. I've never had a problem with the car, it's ran perfectly. This past weekend, I brought it in for a routine oil change. Everything went smoothly, however, when we went to check out, the service tech had recommended that I have the transmission fluid flushed on the car. This was interesting to find out, especially since your guys had just changed it 6,000 miles ago. When I told the service advisor of this, he went out to the car, proceeded to check the transmission fluid, came back into the building and told us it was a false alarm and that the fluid looked perfect. This seems deceptive to me. Why are your techs recommending a service that has already been done on my car and not needed? I decided to leave it alone, pay my bill and leave. My fiancé and I spent the afternoon 3 miles away and when we went to go home, the car started to idle funny. We decided it was probably a fluke and pulled back out onto the main road. At this point, the car is making a loud muffled noise and not wanting to rev up much when accelerating. I got to a main intersection trying to head back to I-5 North and was stopped at a red light. The car is wanting to die, sputtering, it's idling really low and suddenly it dies on me. I put the car in park, turned the key in the ignition, it starts right back up, the light turns green and before I can hit the gas, it dies again. Traffic is heavy behind me, people are getting irritated, the car behind me nearly plows into the back of my bumper. There are no indicators on the dashboard showing me anything is wrong. I again put the car in park, turn the key in the ignition, slide it into drive very quickly and hit the gas. This gets me through the intersection and to the next light that is red. Again, the car dies on me twice. At this point, I'm just trying to get back to the dealership to find out what has been done to my vehicle. We've nearly been hit now several times by the cars behind us, I'm panicked and shaking because I don't know what is going on with my car that has had no problem whatsoever up until this point and worried we're going to have a serious accident. We finally manage to get back to the dealership where the service advisor (Derrel Dale) is just about to leave for the day as it's now after 4pm. He tells us there's not much that can be done until Monday since everyone has gone. Monday we get a call from Chad Augustine, the service manager, that the vehicle is ready to be picked up. The tech that had originally worked on it (Hugh Brower) had removed the air filter to inspect it and not clipped it all the way back into place. When we arrived at the dealership yesterday to pick up our car, Chad didn't even offer an apology, he simply handed us the keys and said "There you go." When I decided to voice my concern about the lack of quality that was applied while working on my vehicle during the oil change, the fact that our safety had been compromised and this "mistake" very easily could have caused a serious collision with my vehicle, Chad's response was very nonchalant. I was told he had spoken to the tech Monday morning, he'd never made that kind of mistake in the past and these things happen when the tech is in a rush and hopefully it wouldn't happen again in the future. When my fiancé pointed out that there wasn't anyone else waiting in the lobby while we were having the oil changed and there was no reason to be in a rush, Chad spat out that there were "fifteen appointments on Saturday and one tech, what do you want me to say?". I had a hard time picking my jaw up from the floor. Are you seriously telling me that this is the way one of your managers handles this type of situation? I told Chad that I, too, work in customer service and that I understand this isn't his fault, per se, but that it was unacceptable for this type of mistake to happen and that his lack of concern and sincerity had me completely boggled. He sat there staring at me and stated that there has to be a solution to every problem and that he didn't know what I wanted and didn't know what else he could say to me. There were other customers in the lobby at this time and I hope to God every one of them heard this entire conversation. What kind of person do you have managing your service department? Is this really how you want to treat your customers? Is this what we can expect? I had to take off work, use my PTO, come in there and get my vehicle after your crew caused a hazardous error which put my safety in very real jeopardy. How it is my problem that you have chosen to short-staff your service department to the point that your techs are doing shoddy work is beyond me and I certainly didn't deserve the mechanical mess it put me in or the pathetic response your service manager gave me. read more

While I started off happy with the service and selection, my experience quickly went downhill. First off, I decided to buy a car, and they were VERY pushy. It was late and I wanted to go home and finish tomorrow. They did not want me to leave. They kept saying 5 minutes, and it was MUCH more than 5 minutes. I eventually walked out and came back the next day. My transaction went smoothly, but now it is 5 days later and the heat in the car won't work. Apparently the car is leaking coolant. I used to take my car here to get repaired. Not any more. They have had my daughters car for almost a month. We keep hearing it will be done by this date. Well that date has come and gone several times. Now I am looking at not only an expensive repair but also at least another week before the car is done because other cars are more important than hers.
