I relied on the company's expertise to determine whether that placement would still allow the system to reasonably meet the goals discussed during the sales process. I also want to be clear that the system functioning is not the issue. We appear to agree that the equipment is producing energy as designed. The production numbers themselves have never been what I questioned. The concern I raised relates to how the system size and expectations were presented during the sales process. When we explored going solar, the conversations centered around offsetting most or all of our electric bill, which was the primary reason we decided to move forward with a $20,000 installation. If it had been clearly communicated that the system was intended to be a smaller "starter system" that would only offset a portion of our electricity usage, we likely would have approached the decision differently or waited until we had a longer utility history available. Another important point is that no written proposal or modeling documentation outlining the assumed household usage or projected offset was ever provided prior to signing. Because those design assumptions were never shared with us in writing, it has been difficult to understand how the system size was determined relative to our expected energy needs. As a result, we are now paying a monthly solar loan while still carrying a meaningful electric bill, which is not the outcome we understood or expected when making this investment. Our house was built in the late 1960's. Which means that the outlet plugs and other components that were installed back then (over 50 years ago) have become brittle. Jostle them a bit and they can fracture. This happened to the circuit for the room on the other side of the Battery install. Apparently they jostled the wires running to one of those outlets and it fractured it, disabling that circuit. It being a guestroom, we didn't notice it right away. When we did, Elemental did not hesitate to step up. I would use Elemental Energy again if I needed any of their services in the future.

I would recommend them to anyone trying to save money on their electricity bill. These attachments weren't the necessary items SO THEY COULD NOT INSTALL MY PANELS. THE KIND TECHNICIAN ALSO DID NOT HAVE ACCESS TO CALL SCHEDULER OR COORDINATOR DIRECTLY. THEY HAD ALREADY BEEN TO ANOTHER PROJECT EARLIER IN NEIGHBORHOOD THAT DAY AND CAME UPON THE BOX OF WRONG COMPONENTS SENT TO THAT JOB TO REINSTALL PANELS. What kind of company treats their paying customers with sub standard consideration and service. TWO WEEKS LATER, I HAVE NOT HEARD FROM the company or received new attachments. A and R sent their sales person to our house and he got right to work. He went into our crawl space under the roof to make sure our roof was properly supported for the panels. That was a relief as the other place wanted to send a structural engineer to do that very simple job and charge us for it. Ridiculous. Our project was two years, so the crew may be slightly different, but they were great. When there was an issue, like that we didn't have electrical grounding, they just put in grounding bars. I was just working with a budget-friendly, portable 12V solar system for DIY festival camping and emergency preparedness, and I needed some fuses.
