Update following the company's response:…read more I want to clarify one point raised in the owner's reply so readers understand the concern accurately. Yes, I mentioned that I would prefer the panels be placed on the rear of the home if possible. That was simply an aesthetic preference and not a design requirement. I relied on the company's expertise to determine whether that placement would still allow the system to reasonably meet the goals discussed during the sales process. I also want to be clear that the system functioning is not the issue. We appear to agree that the equipment is producing energy as designed. The production numbers themselves have never been what I questioned. The concern I raised relates to how the system size and expectations were presented during the sales process. When we explored going solar, the conversations centered around offsetting most or all of our electric bill, which was the primary reason we decided to move forward with a $20,000 installation. If it had been clearly communicated that the system was intended to be a smaller "starter system" that would only offset a portion of our electricity usage, we likely would have approached the decision differently or waited until we had a longer utility history available. Another important point is that no written proposal or modeling documentation outlining the assumed household usage or projected offset was ever provided prior to signing. Because those design assumptions were never shared with us in writing, it has been difficult to understand how the system size was determined relative to our expected energy needs. As a result, we are now paying a monthly solar loan while still carrying a meaningful electric bill, which is not the outcome we understood or expected when making this investment. At this point, I have shared my experience and clarified the concerns raised. I do not intend to continue a public back-and-forth discussion on this review. My purpose in posting this update is simply to provide context so other homeowners researching solar know to request clear written modeling and offset assumptions before making a significant investment.

The owner, Chet, conducted an on-site assessment and was extremely honest and knowledgeable. Chris, the designer, was incredibly patient, explaining everything in detail and even reviewing other quotes I received, offering his candid feedback. I spoke with several leading providers in Portland, but Sunpath earned my trust through their transparency. Maggie, the project manager, was a delight and efficiently scheduled everything. The crew arrived early today and completed the installation before dawn, and I couldn't be happier! They did an outstanding job. Special thanks to Johnathan and Kordon, the lead installer, who explained everything thoroughly, and to the technician, Keven, for his excellent work. The EV charger installer they hired was amazing too, they did the installation seamlessly without any visible wires. :) Here is a breakdown of what I've installed. - (30) REC 460 wattAlpha Pure-RX, all black solar panels - (30) Enphase IQ 8X microinverters - (1) Enphase combiner panel with system production monitoring - SnapNRack roof mount racking system - Installation of Level 2 EV Charger I highly recommend Sunpath to anyone considering solar. I truly believe that with their honesty and commitment to excellence, they will continue to thrive! Thank you everyone at Sunpath for this wonderful Solar Journey!

Elemental Energy has been outstanding in post customer care. In the eight years since I've had my system, I've only had two issues which were properly taken care of. The project manager in 2008 was absolutely awful. Poor communication and someone quit so my project got pushed to no-man zone- no one was taking care of my project or communicating clearly about what was going on. I didn't write a review in 2008 because I was upset about the process. However, eight years later, the install is absolutely fantastic and the product has held up really well. Plus the person who was so awful is likely gone so thinking you'll have a better experience than I did. I'm getting quotes on battery and they are the first person I called

Our house was built in the late 1960's. Which means that the outlet plugs and other components that were installed back then (over 50 years ago) have become brittle. Jostle them a bit and they can fracture. This happened to the circuit for the room on the other side of the Battery install. Apparently they jostled the wires running to one of those outlets and it fractured it, disabling that circuit. It being a guestroom, we didn't notice it right away. When we did, Elemental did not hesitate to step up. I would use Elemental Energy again if I needed any of their services in the future.

He's extremely experienced, having started in the solar business in 1981, so there really is nothing a roof or house could throw at Brent that he couldn't handle, I think. I got multiple bids including the most highly reviewed/mentioned Portland firms, and his was not the flashiest proposal or largest possible system, but it was straightforward and took the most efficient approach with respect to the tax incentives. And he didn't want to take chances with the final inspection by cramming too many panels on my roof. Another company sized a 7.3kW system and he felt it may not pass code. I also needed a service upgrade from 100 amps to 200 amps coming into the house, and Brent was happy to build that into the project. The sub he used for that was absolutely great and also added a 240V plug in the garage for my EV with no complaints or haggling. In comparison, one of the other companies I talked to really didn't feel like doing the service upgrade, even though I was happy to pay for it. Brent just wanted to do what was needed to give me a great system. He was fast too...from my first contact with him to switching the system on was two months and a couple days. With respect to payment, he takes a very small payment with the signing of the contract and then doesn't even say a word about getting the rest until everything is complete and all inspections are done. I highly recommend Brent and Gen-Con for your solar PV and thermal needs.

I talk to a lot of Solor company's and they are all pretty much the same , except for some like blue raven who are a trust ally with the Oregon energy trust which help my decision making. Price was more than fair I went with a PPA since there is no more tax credit available. I am saving money already and did not have to take out a loan. I would recommend them to anyone trying to save money on their electricity bill. I think being owned by sunpower could have changed how they operate, because James , Danny and Roberto and I think the other guys name was Franco. All professional and new there stuff I did a lot of research and have sat down with many company's. When i call their support (dozens of calls which I have documented) starting FEBRUARY 2026 after new roof completion, to reinstall my panels EVEN AFTER I PAID THE THOUSANDS OF $ for their warranted reinstall. Sometimes I was on hold 30 minutes to 3 hours and got no one. Other times I was told they know I am on list to be scheduled but they cannot speak to scheduler nor can I. I asked if I call back in one week for an update could they let me know, and they said no. WHEN REINSTALL FINALLY SCHEDULED MAY 26, 2026 the technicians arrived and I gave them the box of reinstall components that sunworld/blue raven sent. These attachments weren't the necessary items SO THEY COULD NOT INSTALL MY PANELS. THE KIND TECHNICIAN ALSO DID NOT HAVE ACCESS TO CALL SCHEDULER OR COORDINATOR DIRECTLY. THEY HAD ALREADY BEEN TO ANOTHER PROJECT EARLIER IN NEIGHBORHOOD THAT DAY AND CAME UPON THE BOX OF WRONG COMPONENTS SENT TO THAT JOB TO REINSTALL PANELS. What kind of company treats their paying customers with sub standard consideration and service. TWO WEEKS LATER, I HAVE NOT HEARD FROM the company or received new attachments. I went to website and AI Evan gave me a customer support number to call: 855-608-5036 specific to my query to reinstall panels after roof replacement. I shouldn't have been disappointed ONCE AGAIN THAT IT WASNT EVEN A WORKONG NUMBER. Lastly, the technicians driving the BLUE RAVEN SOLAR van QUALIFIED TO DO WARRANTY INSTALL OF PANELS expressed concern about not being paid for work if they don't install panels. Being a RN, I am outraged by a company that has no accountability for mismanaged products and services. This is why unions are required and wouldn't need to be, if companies would treat consumers and employees fair like companies owners and shareholders want to be. I have never written a review online and I hate to spend time and energy doing it. I also hate that I have spent a hundred hours trying to get my solar panels up and start collecting sun power which ai have missed for 4 UNNECESSARY MONTHS OF WHICH ENTIRELY IS FAULT OF SUNPOWER....BLUE RAVEN SOLAR OR WHATEVER THEY CALL THEMSELVES-I HOPE OTHER PEOPLE LOOKING INTO PURCHASING SOLAR PANELS CAN FIND A DIFFERENT VENDOR OR THIS COMPANY ACTS LIKE THE SAME COMPANY THE SAID THEY WERE WHEN THEY CAME DOOR TO DOOR AND SOLD ME ON THEM AND THEIR SOLAR PANEL PROGRAM.
