My home inspector found several issues that needed repair that involved several specialties (plumbing, carpentry, drywall). I remembered my conversation with Mike and called him. We had a preliminary discussion on the phone about what needed to be done, and he assured me that he was qualified in all the required areas. It's also important to note that Mike is a licensed contractor. Mike came to the house at the appointed time and date and reviewed my list and checked out the areas where the work was needed. He gave me an estimate based on the number of hours he thought the work would take over a three-day period. Having been around the block many times regarding home repair, I found the estimate to be competitive and reasonable. I hired Mike. He arrived on the job promptly every morning. They did a full system analysis and checkout including house grounding system, various interior tests to check switch and plug integrity, main and sub panel contact security and as well as an operational check of a generator system. They explained and installed separate voltage/current surge protection units to each furnace. Very neat and carefully installed. Numerous excellent suggestions for important improvements as well as finding an off brand circuit breaker that was not designed for my panel box. Great find! It's a busy time of year, but they put us on the schedule for a few days later. To be honest, we were expecting to hear a sales pitch for a new system. We were very pleased when Eric cleaned our system and showed us that the only issue was that the run capacitor on the compressor was struggling. Eric replaced it and added a "hard start kit" to reduce strain and power consumption during startup. Overall, he was prompt, friendly, knowledgeable, and explained everything he was doing. There was no effort to "upsell us." The system has been working great ever since.
