My family and I used Zip to Zip Moving for our interstate relocation, storing our household inventory temporarily while securing our permanent residence. From the start, we experienced major friction with unexpected and drastic price increases that required hard negotiations just to bring down to a semi-reasonable level. Unfortunately, that pushback resulted in direct retaliation from staff. We provided our new permanent address and delivery instructions multiple times, only to find out that a representative named Lucas intentionally failed to log or update our information in the system, leaving us stranded out of the delivery queue and forcing us to sleep on air mattresses in an empty townhome. When we finally secured a written email confirmation for delivery between Monday and Wednesday from another representative, a staff member named Noah called with an arrogant, bullying attitude, trying to gaslight us with a sudden, zero-notice Sunday ambush delivery. When we held firm to our written delivery window, Noah and the team escalated to blatant extortion--threatening to withhold our household goods and slap us with fabricated cubic-foot penalty fees. Deliberately failing to process relocation updates out of petty office friction and holding customer property hostage over forced, unagreed-upon scheduling is completely unacceptable. If you value your property, your time, and basic accountability, look elsewhere.

We have moved multiple times in east cost always use the same mover from NY. This time thought of trying a NJ based mover. Here are the issues 1.Lack of professional behavior. They came inside saw that entryway table had a few bills picked them up asked me which currency it is. 2. One of the kitchen packers opens lid of my spice box (I had leaves and chillies puts his nose in sniffs and asks what is it? 3. Packed every little thing in white wrapper so unpacking was hell. Single stainless steel spoon wrapped in 4 layers of packing . 4. Who does this .packing open can of bleach with groceries. While unpacking I saw white dust thought its paint once I hit end of box it was bleach so ended up throwing everything from that box. Which professional mover does that 5. Random packing. I had very organized closet but they picked random items and packed in diff boxes so i had box with sweaters pillow covers photo frames and belts all from diff parts of closet. LASTLY we were given pricing we paid that by bill and paid $800 extra over that without receipt as they demanded that they packed box. When vector gave me a quote it included 10 medium boxes $20 per box but the guys packed everything with white wrapper in kitten not one but 4 sheets and increased boxes packed to 30 , unethically charging us for small boxes stuffed with white paper. They sent three and it still came to $910 and 7 1/2 hours- almost twice estimate & that's the takeaway here. They are professional but they wrap up stuff & ultimately move thru the process a little slower than you might anticipate. I would recommend them but keep in mind you might like me ended up paying more. The owner said she would look into why it took longer but at the point of sale what value is that to me. So it's the old adage - you get what u pay for - they are good but they are expensive and yes they charge for the trip back to their main office from your location as well. In regards to the handling of the goods it was a good outcome with appropriate handling and no damage. Over all the project came in close to the estimated cost (5% over). The only problematic issue with the move experience involved the driving time and routes taken by the mover to get to and from the storage locations. It was not clearly indicated to me in the contract where geographically they would began charging me nor the routes they were planning to take. They charge the same $125/hr per guy whether driving or loading and unloading, so there is little incentive to be smart and assertive with their driving. Driving cross town from west side 26th/11th avenue to east side Manhattan Bridge to BQE to Verrazano Bridge at 3pm would not have been my choice for the quickest way out of Manhattan to get to south Jersey.

I spoke with Peter for over an hour to book my move last summer, and he assured me they could stay within my budget. He sent me an itemized document saying how many boxes and what furniture would fit within the space allotted for my move. When the actual company showed up (a subcontractor, as Starline is just a middleman), the ultimate costs ended up being nearly twice as much as what I was quoted, despite the actual amount of stuff I was moving being smaller than what was on the document Peter sent me. The man who decided that I had too much stuff for the allotted space (and increased my price) was literally just eyeballing it - which either means he was making up numbers, that Peter is totally incompetent at his job, and/or the whole thing is a scam designed to take advantage of people during one of the most stress-inducing life events. I couldn't get ahold of Peter on the day of the move because it was a Sunday, and he had only given me his direct line and not a weekend-available customer service line (and I was too stressed from arguing with the mover to think straight). When I tried to contact Peter several times in the days following, he never returned my calls or answered my emails. I have not heard from him at all. TLDR: Terrible people, terrible company.

They showed up with 2 guys to move 2 stand up pianos a 10 foot solid wood dining table and a 600+ pounds gun safe which they were informed from the very beginning about. they damaged my table. The $10,000+ charles r sligh grandfather clock that was passed down from my late father was damaged. Table was damaged, the bed frame was broken, and there are multiple scratches on furniture with bent handles. What's worse is that for my grandfather clock, I paid extra for their "care" package, but the only care they to do is to break your furniture. My custom-made 10-foot dining table which was also passed down from my family needs to be completely refinished due to scratches left on it. My gun safe is completely scratched on the sides. I paid $14,000+ for them to be completely non caring with my furniture. They offered $78 as their settlement and in return if I accept the 78$ I needed to refrain from leaving any negative reviews or talking badly about Star Line Trucking. Well they can keep the 78$.
