Now, when I went to cancel my membership, I miss canceling online by 1 day, 1/2/22 instead of 1/1/22, I got an auto email response that stated I will be billed for February I called and spoke to Victor and was told that this was a system issue that they could not change the billing date but he will talk to Denise and see if something can be done. No other gym make their members have more than a 30 day notice. No business even a rental house has more than a 30 day notice when it's month to month! No call back, so I called Victor a week later and was told that there's nothing they can do since the club is now owned by Gold's gym and not Denise. It's Gold Gym's billing system and they can't make any changes. Now it's Feb. I called Victor to let him know that we will call our credit card company and cancel the charge. Now it's no longer a billing issue but a contract issue. He told me to go read my contract. That all cancellation needs to be in before the 1st. My request was received on the 2nd! Threatened to send my account to collection and that extra charges will be added since I'm not following the contract if I call my credit card. Wouldn't advise it since there will be a penalty charge added. Needless to say I will never join this gym again. I will go out of my way if ever I need to sign up my child to the swim team. Today, they bus in other teams to swim and we pay over $170/month so that 5-6 kids share a lane.

I have been with this gym for two years. Recently, after a lengthy period of time, I have seen changes in both the conditions of the place, and a new manager, Tommy, who came from other locations of 24 HF. The past months since he has arrived, I have seen new improvements and changes for the good. It started with the cleanliness of even things like the front windows and entrance and equipment that has been long ignored is being repaired. The aquatic section which has been important to me and consistently out of service, has been addressed and repaired and seems to be no longer a bandaid solution. I am really encouraged by Tommy who genuinely listens, is interactive with the customers that he meets, and walks around and checks his club for conditions. I live nearby, didn't want to change appreciate the great employees who, up to now, seemed to want to address their customers, but were not in a position to follow through,, and thank the owners for bringing us a person who shows since he arrived here some months back, that his customers are important. I expect, as more and more equipment is brought back online, that I will change my rating to "5 Stars" and for the first time since I have been here, will be pleased to renew my membership when the time comes. What I didn't expect is an amazing facility, with a fantastic training staff, an owner who cares about every single one of his clients on a personal level, and a clientele with that get-it-done attitude to keep me motivated. I am the kind of person that needs a trainer to tell me what to do, to push my limits, and take an interest in my health and fitness goals. I feel like Kisar (the owner) is always trying to improve the classes by bringing in new and fresh ideas to the table, which is great, considering I really enjoy challenges. And if you work out with him, be prepared to get REKT. That guy pushes you to your limits, every time!! Burntown also has nutrition programs to help you kick start your journey. And the trainers... can't be spoken about highly enough. Each one is FANTASTIC and adds their own flavor and style to their classes (s/o to Emily who has a booming/motivating voice, who takes time to correct my form and lets me know if something looks to easy for me). I've been a member for around 3 years and for the monthly fee they charge i think they're a great deal, you'll pay considerably more at Snap! Fitness. I've never joined AP's classes so I cant commnet on them, but otherwise this is a very clean & well maintained gym. Though not as big or equipped with quite as much gear as the the larger gyms like 24 hour or Ballys, there is ample cardio and weight lifting machines and free weights to get you through any type of workout. I go every day and do both weights and cardio so I'm well familiar with this gyms offerings. Also nice is that members can use the gym 24/7 with a pass card they give. Nice to be able to workout at 4am if you so desire, or any other time. It allows you to workout on your own schedule, a big help to me.

I loved the workouts and the gym in the beginning. But like most workouts (barre, CrossFit), this trend is over and a new one begins.
