I ordered The Turtle Breakfast with eggs over easy, added an extra egg, sausage, and bacon, and swapped the toast for a side of biscuits and gravy. Everything was cooked perfectly. The bacon was thick-cut, salty goodness, the sausage was packed with flavor, and the biscuits were light and fluffy. The sausage gravy was some of the best I've had, rich, hearty, and loaded with flavorful sausage. Whether you're staying in Islamorada or just passing through, I highly recommend stopping by Green Turtle Inn for breakfast. It's a great way to start the day in the Keys.

From sitting down to getting our food was about 20 minutes, so this is a solid place to stop if you're trying to get back on the road soon. The floor looked like it hasn't been mopped in a long time. The Ac was reading 77/78 even though it was set for 72. The tv and the phone was not working. I called the front desk and was told a manager would contact me, never did. Had to go to the lobby and wait for a manager. He changed our room to a hotel room (no kitchen) in which he acted like he was doing us a favor. If we wanted to book that room(which we have in the past) without a child we would have done so. The one they offered didn't have a kitchen so we can't use our counter top high chair , cook food etc. The bathtub is outside in which a pigeon has made a nest in and there is bird poop inside the bathtub. I notified the front desk in which they don't seem to care. They got rid of the nest but the pigeon is still there and the poop. I have been coming here since I was young and man this place has turned sooo Ghetto. A employee mentioned to me that like people like myself expects Cheeca to be what it once was and it's not. No, I expect the AC to be working in July or any month for that matter. Reasonable clean place, basic things like tv and phone to be working. I don't think that is so much to ask. Hopefully the owners of Bass Pro will turn it around because it is evident the current owners/management had let this place go.

We came here especially for their fresh oysters as we were trying different spots along the way. I'm a huge fan of oysters and boy, they did not disappoint. We also had the blackened snapper sandwich and grilled Mahi sandwich. Very fresh and tasty! Great place to stop by whether you're heading down to the most southern point or if you're headed back to Miami. I highly recommend Lorelei!
