She led us to Todd, who ultimately came and completed the measurements. Given his advice, we changed a towel holder specification to a puck. This resulted in more interior space. Doug and Corey completed the installation. All communications were timely and complete. Doug and Corey were very respectful of our space and did an exceptional job. We solicited quotes from three service providers. Mid WI was competitive, they had the finish we wanted and their delivery timeline beat what was promised by others. With the bathroom reno we worked with various service providers. None were better than Mid Wisconsin Glass & Mirror. It is great to be able to recommend a smaller, family owned business such as theirs. P.S. We are in Columbus, WI. Not sure why Yelp has us in CA.

Lynn Sterud Local Guide·21 reviews·7 photos 4 minutes ago New I had the rare experience of the tempered glass of my shower enclosure spontaneously shattering! No one was in the room when it happened. My house is only 5 years old and I was able to find the installer, Mid Wisconsin Glass & Mirror, to help me. They came the very next day to measure the opening. Then they called back and said they would be back to install the glass the following day! They were so careful removing the old glass that there was very little that came apart. The new glass looks great. They completed the work in about one hour. I recommend Mid Wisconsin Glass & Mirror with my highest regard! Photo 1 of 3 Photo 2 of 3 Photo 3 of 3

I had looked at the door, having taken framing courses, and knew it wasn't going to straight forward to remove the trim. I told the tech that and also said I hoped to replace the door with a new one soon that was energy efficient. Because I said that, they agreed to do my door as these 75yo doors can take cosmetic damage to remove the pane. Again, the glazer arrived on time. The end result, which he was proud of, was a tiny hole and a tiny crack ( easily filled with wood caulk if I cared). It was great! He was done quickly and I can't thank them more. Likewise with my SIL. But hey, cardboard and duct tape was more energy efficient during those really frigid days!

She said I needed to call the manufacturer and so I explained that the manufacturer directed me to them and that they told me what the problem likely was. She again interrupted me to say she could send someone out but there would be a service fee and it would take a month. If that's the case, that's fine, but would never pay for a service here now that I've seen how they talk to people. Felt very much like they just wanted to get me off the phone. If you're too busy, just say that. If you can't help, just say "unfortunately, we don't do repairs of that nature" or point the person towards another business if you know of it. It costs you nothing to be kind.

I could handle the update, sanding and sealing of the existing deck on my own, but wanted an expert to change out the railing from wood to black finished metal and replace a 4' stair with a 20' wrap around staircase. The work was completed yesterday and exceeded my expectation in every way! The lead carpenter and his carpenters were amazing, the work was completed on time and on budget, and we are receiving nothing but excellent feedback from neighbors, friends and family.

Degnan did a beautiful job creating the 3 season room of our dreams. It has become our oasis, the…read morefavorite spot of our house, and it helped keep us sane during COVID. Even though it's "3 season," we can use it year-round. The wide modern fireplace they recommended heats the entire space in even very cold conditions, and the insulated floor helps maintain a warm surface once heated. It's always a wonderful experience to relax with a cup of coffee next to the warm fireplace while enjoying the expansive view. As you can tell from the pictures in the portfolio, Degnan's craftsmanship and attention to detail were top-notch. They took what we were looking for way beyond the next level, with some fantastic ideas. We initially looked to convert the existing deck space, carrying forward a typical rectangular room layout. They suggested that pulling the area inward into more of an L shape would make it more dramatic and cozier. This layout enabled some very striking design features, like the tandem windows and the exposed beam over the dining area. They also did a fantastic job creating a vaulted roof ceiling that matched the home's exterior aesthetics and made way for light to pour in on those large beautiful windows. A lot of thought went into not just style but also the functionality of the space. For example, the layout allows quick access from the kitchen to the grill, and I didn't even realize all the benefits until using the space. Notably, they had recommended a landing instead of a typical stairway, and aside from just looking better, it's a lot easier to carry trays of food with your hands full when you have that additional space. Another example is they recommended a four-pane vinyl window system that can be put into all kinds of open configurations, and it's super easy to clean. One of the features of the project we enjoy the most was a custom expansive glass folding door. It essentially gives us a glass wall that we can completely slide out of the way, creating a fully open space when we have guests. This makes the room feel like a natural continuation of the house, as opposed to an isolated space. It eliminates that awkward crowding you usually get with a more typical doorway. The fact that it slides means you do not cover the light switches with a door; they remain accessible in the room. The Degnan team was fantastic to work with, and even the owner (Abe) was highly engaged and responsive to any question or concern. *even after project completion*. Further, Degnan stands behind their work and is committed to your complete satisfaction. There was a manufacturing issue with our flooring, and Degnan diligently worked to correct it as soon as they were aware of the problem. Six months after the job was completed, Abe still personally reached out to make sure nothing new had popped up, and we were still happy. They even came out to check for shifts from season changes. We couldn't be happier!i

A few months later 3 windows had gas leaks, so we called the manufacturer again, they said we had to go through the retailer where the windows were bought which is Bliffert. So long story short, three times the windows came in and 3 times they were the wrong size. Of course we had to pay for the installation or the trips for the attempt. Finally the fourth time was the charm. I'm writing this review because Bliffert stepped up and reimbursed us the money we were out for the 3 trips. I don't know who messed up the measurements, honestly I don't care. Thank you Bliffert for the extra effort.

Over $100,000 was spent at Chase and it was an absolute disaster. The salesperson we worked with was named Chase also, and he messed up just every order. The delivery drivers said that lately no one really cares there and they're sick of getting yelled at by all the contractors and so they just don't care at all either. They delivered all our millwork and doors on open flatbed trucks in the rain. Most of them swelled so bad, we returned them. The replacements were delivered on open flatbeds again and it guess what -- it rained again. We had to refuse about half of our deliveries. I'm not even getting to the mis-orders! I have built houses for about 12 years and I have NEVER seen this level of incompetence with a lumber yard or a salesperson. I highly suggest everyone steer clear of this failing mess. Its only a matter of time before they close up-- according to some of their workers.
