My 75-year-old mother underwent necessary brain surgery three weeks ago. Three days before surgery, she had a ground-level fall, tore her rotator cuff, and sustained a small fracture. Because the surgery could not be deferred, she proceeded as planned but required significant care at home afterward. She had been fully independent, and although she lives with my father, the caregiving needs were beyond his comfort level. I was able to help for a few days after her discharge, but it was clear they would need additional support for her to remain safely at home. The hospital nurses were wonderful, but my mom needed assistance even with basic tasks like repositioning in bed and using the restroom, as her left arm was immobilized. Our hospital care coordinator connected us with Amy, the client care manager for Family Matters, who met us at home right away. She performed a thorough evaluation and took the time to understand my parents' needs and preferences. Almost immediately, we were connected with KJ, the Director of Operations, who coordinated the caregiving schedule. She ensured an excellent match with caregivers and that coverage was consistent and reliable. Communication was seamless--KJ was always responsive and proactive with updates, and we never felt out of touch. My mom especially wanted to recognize her primary daytime caregiver, Maria. Maria was attentive, warm, and incredibly experienced, with over 20 years in caregiving. She is also an excellent cook and was especially skilled in helping my mom with more vulnerable tasks like showering. The other caregivers who supported nights and weekends were also wonderful. The team clearly put thought and care into matching personalities and backgrounds, which made a meaningful difference. Over the following weeks, my mom gradually regained her independence, and we were able to scale back care smoothly. The team made adjustments easy and seamless. We would absolutely use Family Matters again. This was our first experience with a caregiving service, and we were initially apprehensive, but they made the entire process easy, supportive, and reassuring. We would use them again in a heartbeat.

Even more challenging is finding caregivers you can truly trust during such a vulnerable stage of life. A very special thank you to Family Matters, and my father's caregiver, Sade. He is under hospice care with advanced dementia, and can barely speak. Sade is consistently patient, and kind, and gives me complete peace of mind whenever she's caring for him. Most importantly, she engages with him and makes him feel seen. This is in sharp contrast to other caregivers we've experienced who are often on their phones and treat him as if he's invisible. I'm also especially grateful for KJ who manages the caregivers and scheduling. While other agencies haven't taken the time to meet my father or me in person, KJ made it a priority to get hands-on training to fully understand my father's caregiving needs. Because of this, she's been able to step in to provide training and support which is a huge godsend given my limited bandwidth. She even proactively revised the caregiving shift note template to make it clearer and more helpful for our caregiving team. Family Matters has truly exceeded our expectations because they understand the real meaning of caregiving. On top of that, their participation in the Veterans Assistance Program, which requires stricter qualifications provides an added layer of confidence and experience.

Our process of obtaining a caregiver was simple and the arrangement works for all of us. We are being overseen in the office by Ms. Maybelle R. And she is very polite, respectful and dependable! Easy & adaptable and extra time is always reminded but never pressured. My daughter's caregiver is a difference maker in our lives especially that my children have special needs. Because of this company, I give them a 10/10! They do work with GGRC.

We later tried a different company through Kaiser but they had trouble filling our requested hours. They also cost more and didn't take credit cards. We started using Honor two days ago. They were able to accommodate our requested hours on short notice. We love their smartphone app , their rate schedule and the fact they take credit cards. The two caregivers we have had so far were excellent. They both found things to help with and didn't need much prompting from me. I am surprised to see any reviews that are low as I would give six stars if I could. Their intake process was highly professional and their business shows a high degree of organization at all levels. Take it from a very organized retired teacher. Honor is worth checking out and trying their services. Kudos to management and staff .

My only gripe is when the regular caregiver is unable to come. Honor Care doesn't seem to have a backup system in place. So, most of the time no replacement comes or they able to come only at different hours. I could be wrong, but it feels like they treat caregivers like Uber drivers. Instead of proactively having a backup list or making phone calls, it feels like they just open up a slot and hope somebody responds. I could be wrong, but that is the way it feels.

The team worked diligently on finding the right caregiver for my family's needs and the type of care that we needed. Their communication was excellent and there wasn't any pressure or pushy sales people. They have very fair rates and just made the overall experience pleasurable in an industry which can be very rude and cutthroat. I highly recommend giving 1+1 Cares a try if you have a family member or know someone in need of care services. I've also recommended 1+1 Cares to a friend who's grandparent was being released from the hospital in a very short amount of time and Trisha was able to find the right caregiver in the East Bay to help with their family needs. Their process was very communicative, efficient, and timely which my friend truly appreciated.

It's Friday and I've still heard absolutely nothing. Not even an acknowledgment. No "Thanks, we received your email. Someone will get back to you." Or even a "Sorry, we can't help you." Just... no reply at all. I'd much rather be writing a review based on my experience with the company's actual services, but unfortunately they've apparently chosen not to give me that opportunity. My only experience with 1-1 Care has been being completely ignored, so I'm basing my rating on that alone. Have they gone out of business? Shut the office down for a week of summer vacation? Or maybe business is just so good that they can afford to ignore prospective clients. Is this the new normal? To me, this isn't a minor lapse. This is a business built on trust, reliability, and communication, where time is often of the essence and people's quality of life and health are at stake. Completely ignoring multiple inquiries over the course of a business week strikes me as careless and irresponsible, and a failure to get even the basics of customer service right. I'll leave it up to anyone reading this review to decide whether this complete lack of response, and seeming contempt for a prospective customer, might be indicative of other aspects of the way this company does business.

All Seasons Homecare was highly recommended to me by my attorney so I gave them a call. I talked with the owner, Lou Ann. She explained how everything worked and answered all of my questions. I knew after talking to her that my mother-in-law would be in good hands. This place is top notch and so professional. I used All Seasons for 11 days. In that time, all the caregivers showed up on time and gave excellent care to my mother-in-law. At the end of each shift, the caregiver would write up a summary of their visit online, letting me know how my mother-in-law was doing and how the visit went. These notes were very insightful. I appreciate how if there are any problems or questions you can contact Honor, the company All Seasons partners with, 24 hours a day. Very reassuring. Everything went smoothly and I would highly recommend All Seasons/Honor. Are they expensive? Yes. Are they worth it? Absolutely!!!! When you need homecare done right, this is the place to contact! Thanks Lou Ann, Christina, and all the excellent caregivers. You guys are the best!!!

We were given very short notice that mom was going to be released but Lou Ann and Christina met with us and mom to get better acquainted with her and her needs. Shortly after mom got home she had a virtual meeting with a therapist and with no way to conduct this meeting, Christina drove to the home to personally assist with the process. Above and beyond! An urgent staffing issue arose late on a Sunday evening while I was sitting in an airport so I called the 24 hour service number and within minutes I received a call back that the issue was resolved, another example of All Season's commitment to provide the best possible care to their clients and their families. All of the Health Care Professionals assigned to help mom have been very helpful, patient and kind (and mom can be a handful at times:) ) I also very much appreciate the fact that I receive daily reports once the homecare visit is complete that summarizes the visit. Living out of state this is beyond helpful. After reading the reports and finding out about doctor visits or therapist visits that occurred I am able to contact mom and discuss the visit, etc. Without hesitation I would recommend this organization for anyone who is in need of homecare services. The entire organization from Lou Ann and Christina to the personnel answering the 24 hour "hotline" is in my mind, without a doubt, the best homecare service available. Living out of state I am unable to oversee mom's care on a daily basis, but, in my opinion, All Season's professionalism coupled with their compassion reassures me that mom is receiving the next best thing to a family member being there
