Hmmm They take excessive X-rays billing his insurance and him over and over. I had deep cleanings, fillings, and Invisalign treatment, and she always made me feel comfortable and confident throughout the process. One thing that really stood out was how accommodating the team was with my 3-year-old. I occasionally had to bring him to my appointments, and the staff would turn on cartoons and help keep him entertained during my procedures. That kindness meant a lot to me and made a stressful situation much easier. Unfortunately, I did run into repeated issues with billing. I have very good dental insurance, and I agreed to several recommended treatments because I was told they would be covered. However, I ended up paying hundreds of dollars out of pocket. When I contacted my insurance company, I was told that some claims or supporting documentation had not been submitted in a timely manner. I understand that insurance can be complicated, but after it happened more than once, it became frustrating and left me with unexpected expenses. Another challenge was scheduling. I was frequently called and asked to reschedule my appointments, which became inconvenient over time and made it difficult to plan around my busy work schedule. There were also a few moments where the office felt a bit disorganized. For example, I went in expecting to pick up my retainer after completing Invisalign, but I was unexpectedly given another set of Invisalign trays instead. I was also told to expect a call when they were ready for pick up, which never happened. Experiences like that made me question whether everything was being handled as carefully as it should have been. It honestly makes me sad to leave because I truly appreciated the care and kindness I received from Dr. Bhawna, Angie, and the rest of the staff. However, the ongoing billing concerns, frequent appointment rescheduling, and organizational issues ultimately made me lose confidence. But what I am surprised about is Dr. Esther Lee's apparent lack of knowledge or willingness to talk about anything other than the very basic stuff around cleanings/fillings. For example, I had a question about a front tooth moving out of place. I wanted to know if it was anything serious/do I need to do anything about it in the near future. She appeared to be surprised at the question (I guess she wanted to start the cleaning as soon as possible). She mumbed .... "uh, I dunno .... maybe see an orthodontist?". This is not the only time. Many times in the past her way of responding would be .... "uh, ... vague answer" One would think that after 4-6 years of dental school/residency, a dentist would be willing to offer better service/advice rather than suggesting a referral to a specialist for every small thing. So, if you only need basic stuff done (apparently these "dentists" love making their money only through cleanings & fillings), then this place is ok .... but don't expect anything else.
