I have to disagree with the negative reviews, this salon is very specific and has a specific way of running it. You get used to or find the best employee for your needs and you ask for them specifically. I love coming here, I have since I was 12, and before, durning and after the major section of covid. They have lovely staff and it's a very comfortable environment. They're very friendly and there's always someone ready to take up your appointment. Kumud, the owner, is very welcoming and her wax and laser job can't be beat! I came out feeling as smooth as a baby. I come once a month as recommended by her, and I've noticed I barely get any hair on my legs, arms, underarms and hands. The hair doesn't come back darker or thicker, and overall zero ingrown hair. I will w see always stay with this business and prefer their services over any other. Even If I lived extremely far away, the service is worth the trip. Review specifically for COVID precautions - eyebrow technician literally wore a mask pulled up from her chin and under her nose. More as a ?lip guard than anything. And threaded using her mouth, with the thread coming under the mask. I understand the sensitive nature of what service I'm seeking - but the establishment could at least try to maintain hygiene. In her case a face visor would have been better than wearing her mask that way. Other salons I've visited have threaded only with hands (no pulling with teeth). Hopefully this will help to change their practice, I will not be returning unfortunately. read more

The worst salon ever in Canada, the staff is too irresponsible and doesn know how to provide salon services. I went to get my eyebrows done, the lady actually took off my eyebrow hairs from front creating a visible gap. The lady while making my eyebrows was so irresponsible and constantly looking at the girl next to me. she was not focused on my eyebrow. And in her explanation she said that my eyebrow were like this before, how ridiculous I can clearly show my before pictures and my face right now. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. I've been going here for threading for the past 8 years. They are probably the cheapest threading place in the market. $4 for brows !!!! Their staff are very professional and friendly ! I've been going here for about four years for eyebrow threading and leg waxing and more recently Brazilians. I've vowed to myself multiple times that I would stop going here, but I find myself coming back constantly because of how conveniently close it is to my home and school and hey- they're cheap! I once promised I wouldn't come back when during one trip there was a mistake threading my eyebrows, they cut me in two places and I still payed for the service. I ended up coming back because my other eyebrow place was across Scarborough and I just could not commute for a 3$ experience. I figured "hey who cares they're just some eyebrows!" But my recent Brazilian experience was much too uncomfortable! I've had them done here by a kind lady a few times. There was one awkward situation where one woman was performing the wax on me while the other was moving things around the room, repeatedly opening and closing the door- kinda uncomfortable but again I looked past it because you get what you pay for right? Another time two women rapidly waxed my legs simultaneously because they were in a rush to close. This was odd but I didn't really mind because it was time efficient none the less. But recently, I went for a Brazilian and had a bad experience that makes me never want to walk in again! I was given a 10-15 minute wait time but I ended up waiting for half an hour with cranky women around me complaining about how they'd scheduled appointments and still have to wait but none waited half an hour like I had. In my seat a cranky faced woman slumped next to me and began arguing with the employee asking "if I made an appointment for 3:30pm why do I have to wait?" She had a point. It was 4:00pm. I'd been waiting since 3:25. The employee ushered me to the room. *********THIS IS THE IMPORTANT PART IF YOU READ NOTHING I SAID PLEASE READ THIS********* During the Brazilian she did not close the door and spilled the hot wax all over me ripping it off right away. The experience was uncomfortable and dehumanizing. I've never had someone so impatient with my Brazilian before! After the whole two minutes she spent on me which made her $30, she told me that on my way out I should say thank you to her friend outside who had a 3:30pm appointment because I was the reason she couldn't come in on time. I did what I was told and on my way out when the woman walked past me I could barely utter thank you before she stormed past me in anger. The experience was so incredibly embarrassing! Maybe it's on me for thanking someone I didn't know about something completely out of my control? Anyways, I've never had a Brazilian that still hurt hours after it was over, and by the way. When I hear the words threading I usally cringe and reach for the wax because it is just so painful, but honestly not here. For 4 bucks maybe a bit more now since I think they did change a bit, you can get them done with little too no pain, and done very quickly. They have about 6 girls in there most days doing threading. They give good hair cuts at a reasonable price and they re facials feel soo good. I can't rem the prices but they re not overpriced at all. They offer a wide variety of spa services, henna, makeup applications, aswell as bookings at parties. Very clean, reasonably cheap, and fast = yay!. read more

Everything went well until I had the facial waxing. One old lady whom others address as "didi or di" (not the owner) did my facial waxing after an oxy facial despite I refused it several times. She forced the wax and threading on me even when I resisted. Eventually, she pulled off a part of skin from my chin by doing vigorous waxing. If anybody sees that lady coming to you to do any procedures, drive her away. She treat your skin like a wood or rock. When I called owner to complain about her, the owner disregarded and asked me to apply Vaseline on the broken skin. I can sue that lady for forcing a waxing on my face without my permission. read more

Don't get facials here - untrained staff that have no idea what they are doing overall. Overpriced and pretty much use the same products for all "types" of facials. Gowns are not clean, neither is the basement facility where facials are performed. Only 2/10 staff actually know how to do eyebrows - others are all new to the salon. read more

After months of growing out my eyebrows, they are finally back on point thanks to the ladies at Prayosha. The ladies in the salon were all nice and friendly, and be assured that once they hear you walk in the salon you'll be greeted with a Welcome. It seems that majority of the customers come for the hair removal services, especially their eyebrow threading--it is unsurprising because they all do such great job working those eyebrows. (And for $4 you can't go wrong!) Along with my eyebrows, I got my hair coloured. It may be because of my dark hair, or the dye being different from what I expected, it unfortunately didn't turn out the way I wanted it to. Shortly after I realised this, I called them back about my concerns and the lady told me I can come back again to get it fixed free of charge. It's safe to say that their services are top notch. I'll continue my review for the hair services after my next session. I went there my first time for just threading and loved how professional they were, the price and what a great job they did with my eyebrows. Came back to get my waxing done and OH MY GOD!!! Awesome. THE OWNERS ARE COMPLETELY RUDE AND ESSENTIALLY INCOMPETENT. The owner/manager of this salon is the wife of the manager of their other salon in Markham. When I went to the other salon to get a facial done, they scarred my nose while attempting to remove blackheads and left several deep marks all over my nose so that it hurt when I touch my nose. I talked to the owner about it who called his wife who refused to deal with the situation. She said she would come talk to us about the problem if we paid her gas and the time she would lose. Their solution to dealing with my problem was to tell me to leave and give it time to heal. What did I pay $45 for if I have to buy other products to fix the mistakes that they have made? Don't bother going here for a Brazilian or any waxing services. They bring you to a basement that doesn't look very appealing. The lady who performed my wax didn't want to serve me and asked if I wanted the other lady to perform the wax. She left the room to attempt to make the switch when I was already undressed. If I could give no stars I would simply because it was a very uncomfortable experience.I will definitely not return. Went for a clean up of my brows and the girl that was doing it won't even pay attention to what I was saying. I was trying to tell her I need only a clean up to leave the shape and she was hmmm and was looking at who the owner was talking to at the cashier totally ignoring me. She ruin my brows and then said Oh they weren't even. She took out so much and then she had to re-shaped it that is why it is uneven. I had one girl and the owner who did it right. I wish I had one of those two. I am so pissed I feel like crying cause eye brows don't grow back the same. I had to even tell her to trim it. She didn't even know own she had to do that. Went to do a deep conditioning treatment tho and they had my hair in a tangled cobweb of mess where i almost thought they might have to cut my hair off. I had a really TERRIBLE experience in this spa and strongly DISAPPOINTED to the customer service here. I visited this spa few weeks ago for the Brazilian waxing service and what I got after the service was a DEEP WOUND that is more than 3 centimeters long on my genitalia, between my labium minus and labium majus area. I am glad that my body recovers pretty well with no infection but I can still see a long scar there! I am skeptical if the staff is professional enough of serving this. She never explained to me about the procedure of Brazilian waxing even when I told her that was my first time doing it. I felt really painful during the whole process and at the end saw her gloves and the strips were covered with my blood, even the bed. She didn't remove all the hair at that moment and told me she will clean it all when I visit again next time. I truly believe that it was because she noticed something really bad was happened but I didn't realize it was that bad. She was no where to be found after the service. I went home right after and discovered the wound and my bloody underwear. I went back to the spa and complained to the staff right away and see how they can settle this issue down but they just refunded me the money and asked me to apply Vaseline to the wound. I went to see doctor another day because I couldn't stand the pain and the doctor told me that I actually needed stitches for the wound in 12 hours but I missed the best time doing it!!!! I am so regretful to listen to that staff. I went back to the spa and finally found the manager D but he hadn't been reported about this. So I explained the whole situation to him again and at the end he told me I cannot ask for more since they have refunded me the money. How can they be so cold-blooded and didn't even show any sympathy to me? The most ridiculous thing was a lady came over from another branch tried to solve the problem with me but she just kept telling me this situation is normal since the skin in that area is sensitive. So does it mean the customer has to expect to get a wound after the service and need to treat it as normal situation? I can't understand how awful she was telling me that was normal as a woman. I don't feel I'm a valuable customer at this spa and the staffs there have no sincere to settle this issue with me. I just hope that if the owner notices this situation he/she will retrain their staffs and teach them how to value their customers and respect them. To the newbies to Brazilian waxing: do research before you visit and communicate with the staff well during the process! read more

Terrible experience. Went in to darken my roots from getting a balayage done at another salon. The owner was great at asking me what I needed done and assured that I would be attended to shortly. I was hoping she would be the one to correct my hair, but unfortunately another lady who I don't think specializes in hair at all, did it. She was rude and obnoxious. Unwelcoming and did a poor job with my hair. Wanted to darken half the front strands from the root and she was careless at with the task. She didn't apply the dye properly. My front strands are blonde black blonde black. Instead of black at the top and blonde at the bottom. When it came to the wash, there was hair-dye still on my scalp. The blow dryer was too hot and too close to my scalp when she was drying my hair. The owner said it looked fine. I didn't think so and left very disappointed.
