I waited until my final meeting with Wrede Whitney, the Sales Specialist whom I first met with, before I submitted my review. I will have to say this, my experience was SOLID from the initial meeting, until my last discussion with Wrede. I work for a large corporation, and expected a LOT from this experience. I got just that, with a flare of home town goodness from a local company. I had 5 different quotes and meetings with different solar specialists from around the San Diego area. I can tell you that Wrede was the only one who sold what I wanted and needed, at the highest degree of satisfaction. He sold ONLY what I needed, which was a 4.83KW System, with the best SunPower X21-345 Panels, and configured them very neatly on my rooftop, with no exposed electrical tubing or extra racking. Along with that, the installation of the inverter in my garage was professionally done by Colton, and closed out by Luis. These guys were truly incredible installers, and wonderful polite people. No leftover messes, all holes were patched to my satisfaction, and all equipment was tested, and performs wonderfully. Lastly, Maegan and Ariana are true pros at what they do in the office. They wanted to make sure I was taken care of from start to finish. Kudos to the people I did not meet in person, but were delightful to work with over the phone. I would have to say this company has been a pleasure to work with, and gets my grade of A+ overall. SunPower completed our massive solar installation last week and the inspection and final set up today. Our installation crew consisted of Ed and 3 other young men. They were extremely courteous, neat and most importantly on time. They kept me abreast of all aspects of the install and progress. I don't think I have ever dealt with installers that were as polite and conscientious as Ed and his crew. Today, Josh came to complete the set up and go through the final inspection. He was equally as polite and meticulous as the previous gentlemen. Like the previous crew, Josh was punctual and completed his work in a timely fashion and entertained all of our questions. If you are looking for a professional & courteous solar company, look no further than SunPower by Precis. They will show up on time, complete the prescribed work in a meticulous and professional manner and clean up as if they weren't even there. The determine factor was Kim Nguyen, he came and explain thoroughly what will be done, how many panels and especially the costs, how much it will be while other companies just brush through. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND! After getting quotes from 7 different companies, I couldn't be happier with my solar project completed by SunPower by Precis. Not only did they beat all other quotes, they destroyed them! I did extensive research on the different panels, inverters, gateways, batteries, etc. For my home, I went with 28 LG 390 Watt Neon R panels, Enphase IQ7A micro inverters, Enphase IQ Envoy and 2 Tesla Powerwall batteries. Roughly an 11kW Solar System. Working with Patricio Rodriguez as my sales rep was a true pleasure. He listened to my needs and answered all of my questions at all times of the day and night. The crew took their time and exceeded my expectations on the esthetics by running all conduit inside my attic and color matching the paint of anything that was visible on the side of my home. Josue is very professional and knowledgeable, I felt very comfortable and confident in his abilities to lead my install. The whole process was made easy due to the companies ability to have the smartest engineers and an extremely helpful staff. Precis installed our solar system and it is everything that we discussed. My house sits North/South so the best positioning is difficult for the optimum exposure. They analyzed it appropriately and system is functioning appropriately. We had a great crew, paid attention to the details and were flexible in making necessary changes when appropriate. I am always concerned with people on my roof and they took special care in installing the units on our tile roof. Several were broken and they replaced. Good people. Precis did an excellent job in coordinating all the agencies that they had to work through, not an easy task. They even stood in a waiting line overnight for the state credits. I have nothing but good things to say about Precis. From the start, my sales rep Kristin K. set a precedent that would carried throughout the project... she was on time, professional, well prepared for our meeting, and answered all of my questions. I was told up front that Sunpower is not the cheapest product out there. That was reflected in the multiple quotes I got from other installers. However, the level of service I received from my initial meeting and the level of communication while I was price shopping sold me. I went with my gut and was not disappointed. Having a very busy work schedule made me hesitant about installing solar. Along with solar panels, I wanted roof work done, new raingutters, and a new electrical panel. Precis helped me schedule everything with very minimal involvement from me. The whole project was timed perfectly. Kristin connected me with a good, honest, and professional roofing company who took care of my roof, gutters, and automated awnings. The new electrical panel was installed and all the wiring for the panels was run within the attic for a very clean look. And, no issues with any of the city inspections. And when I thought everything was done and signed off, the great service continued. Kristin dropped by to check if everything was working as I expected and to drop off a formal binder containing all the technical documentation of the products installed, contract information, copies of all the inspections, and documentation regarding what tax form I will need to file. Our project was finished about a month ago and so far I'm pleased with everything. I did have to have them come out and fix all off there mistakes but it was fairly painless. I was a little disappointed that I had to point out all of the issues I had but oh well. I was promised something in return for my troubles but never received anything. They are on the higher end of cost from what my research concluded but there reviews were great for the most part. To me customer service is everything along with doing things right the first time which is why I only rated 3 stars. I would use them again. I did a massive amount of research on solar panel technology, inverter technology, average cost per watt, our home power consumption, and comparing price vs system efficiency. After the research we decided that REC 370 solar panels with Enphase iQ7+ micro inverters was the right mix of cost vs performance and technology. We paid about 2.7 dollars per watt for Sunpower by Precis to install our entire system. If that was the end of the story that would be good. However, from the sales person Kathy to the engineering team to the production team to the installation team then the final check out with the power company and the city, all the paper work was done for me and was checked thoroughly. Any question was answered quickly. Fran even found an error from the Solar Panel manufacture warranty paper work out of Germany and had them resolve the problem immediately. I would never have noticed the error in 1 of the 30 panels but Fran noticed it and emailed them and informed me. It was taken care of and followed up on to completion. I can not say enough about every phase of the process. The installation crew was very professional and communicated with us about everything they were doing. The check out service person gave me a great overview of the system and even replaced a bad switch in my existing service panel. I had 6 quotes in the Riverside Co. area and I can honestly say I was impressed with the level of committed service Patricio Rodriguez provided me. From explaining each step of the process clearly and simply to continuous follow-ups to ensure the job was being completed to my satisfaction, it goes to show these guys do put in the time to earn your continued business and stand by what they say/offer. The presentation was easy, clean, and well organized. I do recommend you take the time to read all your documents no matter who you go with to ensure you know what you're getting into, but the information provided was straight-forward and I personally didn't have any issues with the agreement/contract. Installation crew did a fantastic job talking and walking me through what they were going to do before working. Even the guys who came inside to do interior conduit work in the attic were cautious to navigate through my cluttered house as to not disturb anything. Overall, the customer service and installation was great. Installation took a couple days. I honestly waited longer for the city to issue my permit and am still waiting on SoCal Edison to grant me a Permission to Operate (PTO). The app that is supposed to show us our energy production has not worked a single day since we got our system. After multiple calls and claims it would be fixed after few months it is still completely inaccurate. It shows random energy production off the charts in the middle of the night and none of the numbers are reliable. In my opinion it seems to be completely false advertising to make a sale. How about provide what you claim or at least do your due diligence to fix it. I have to use my sdge app to tack usage and that doesnt show my production as promised. We moved into a home in Aug that had sunpower solar panels already installed. I had panels in my previous home and never had a problem. These panels went down in Sept and no one notified us. I didn't notice until Dec. I contacted sunpower immediately. They said they would look into it. Weeks later they said they needed to send out a technician. The technician showed up at 730am for an 11am appt. And then they disappeared. When I called to find out if it was fixed they said yes it was never broken it must have been a glitch. 1 week later and it was down again. They have now sent 2 different crews out and none of them have fixed it. A 4th crew is eventually going to come out and fix it. So no solar since Sept and I've been trying since Dec to get them to fix it. I still have to pay for a broken system. I'm told I will get reimbursed for the non production but they won't tell me how much. DO NOT USE SUNPOWER read more

I was promised by the owner that he would address fixing the excess holes drilled through my ceiling properly. I had a building inspector out for general inspection, he found that they had only calked the miss-drilled holes, very shoddy work. I would make sure you have an inspector check their installation, work was not done to code. Sometimes the cheapest price is not the best bargain, if you wind up with a leaking roof down the road. Original Review: When you read this you will be shocked by ineptitude of this company. the sales experience was that they overcharged compared to other SunPower dealers. After negotiation, you need to do this! You can get a decent price. Then on to the installation, I had explained we had open beam ceilings with 4x6 beams, plenty wide to install tile hook bolts. They day-lighted my ceiling with 15 holes miss-drilled, we were sitting in the living room when wood shavings started to fall on our heads, we ran out and told them of the problem, after which they proceeded to drill more holes not aligned with the beams. The beams are 4 foot on center exactly, they could have measured from the outside of the house, Duh. So next were the bolts they used on tile hooks, the approved county plans called for a 1/4 inch stainless steel lag bolt, they installed a cheap 1/8 inch galvanized. carbon steel bolt. I insisted they be replaced with the correct hardware, I wonder how many were installed before me with bad hardware that will rust out? After they corrected all deficiencies, we were given our PTO (Permission to Operate). Upon noticing that output of system seemed to be below normal, we had to call them, a whole string was not producing, 1/3 of the power was not working. A competent company would have caught this before the customer. Last but not least, ask for your owners manual, it should be presented at time of inspection, you might get yours over a month later. Although I did not get Solar installed I wanted to write a review on the professionalism, informative and the no pressure sales that Wrede provided to my wife and I. He gave a very informative talk which took quite some time and even though he realized that due to my discount on my electricity he was probably not going to install solar on my house still continued to inform us and answered question. Updated review: We finally got our system turned on a little over a week ago. Although I wasn't terribly impressed with the communication throughout the entire process and feel this is something that could definitely be improved upon, they were pretty good about taking care of any issues that came up. For example, we had to get some repair/patching done on the ceiling in our kitchen when they were up in our attic running wires and such, and a junction box fell through my kitchen ceiling (eeek)--they were great about patching the hole, getting a paint sample to ensure the colors matched, and painting it (even coming back on a different day to apply another coat of paint to ensure a good coat/finish). Later, during one of our recent rains, we discovered a leak in the ceiling in my daughter's room, called them and they came out within a reasonable amount of time to fix the roof issue. My husband has been monitoring our power usage through SDG&E's website and we are very pleased to see such a dramatic decrease in our energy usage. So what did I learn from this experience, and hope that Precis learned? That in a nutshell, customer service is EVERYTHING. I get it, I'm not your only customer, but the idea is to make each customer feel like they are the only one and your sole focus. It's clear you have people working for you who are friendly and knowledgeable. It sucked having to wait nearly 6 months to from start to finish, that's something I could live with, but being left in the dark for much of that was just not good. All it takes is a simple phone call from the office or email from the sales rep just to let the customer know you're still waiting on X, Y, or Z. A quick 1 or 2-minute follow-up/update phone call can often mean the difference between a good Yelp review and...a not-so-good one. :) read more

I used Precis because of recommendations. I looked at several companies and decided to go with these guys even though I live in Chula Vista and they are located in the Temecula area. They were not the cheapest, but I'm convinced they were the absolute best company in terms of quality of work, materials, and customer service. Be very careful when you are choosing solar companies, there are lots of inferior products out there that the cheaper companies will try and sneak in on you. Precis was reliable, the system is the best available, and their install was first rate. These guys are pro's, if you want cheaper products and inferior installation, your asking for trouble later. Everything start out good. Like a sales men they promised a lot. Once you sign then you have to deal with the office! After wait for awhile I had to call the city to see if my plans we're ready. I had to call Precise and let them know! The workers and installation was great if I didn't have to talk to the office. Once it was said and done I referred two people. They meet with one of them but never to this day got my referral fee or warranty paperwork or owners manual. I called my salesman Tim numerous times he told me he would take care of it. To this day March 12 the only thing I have gotten is a run around. I have gotten a call from someone that wants to bring my Manuel's by. He will only do it Monday the Friday 8 to 5. Do not believe the reviews as being genuine or 100% happy customers, Precis requests that you write the reviews. I have had this system for just over 1 year. I had a BRAND NEW electrical panel put in prior signed off by the city. Less than 3 weeks laters I have had ongoing issues with my electrical panel. Several calls, emails and $500 electrician bill later. I was told by Precis, I must call an electrician out pay for it then, if and only if they dreamed the issues to be caused my solar they would come out to check. Precis said they would come out, over 1 year later. Less than 3 weeks issues again. Same run around. The 1st person they sent was not an electrician, nice person but not they right person. I paid $40,000 for the system and expected perfection or close to not a step backwards. read more

If you are not coming, at least let me know so I can call other people to come during that time. He is wasting our time. This company is a so unresponsible person.
