I was having issues with my Samsung washer and searched reviews on Yelp. Found Precision and got in touch with Eddie on the first call. I had Google'd my issue and found out it could be one of three things (suspension rods, drain pump, etc) all of which I thought was going to take weeks and be expensive. As a person who is slightly wary of service work from being burned in the past, I was amazed that they fixed it with no new parts or anything. It wasn't anything that I researched and just an adjustment. Took 30 minutes to fix. I only write reviews when the service is exceptional and this is the case. By Wednesday a tech was at my house wrestling the dishwasher out of the cabinetry where it had been glued (??) and replacing the oven part that burned out. Our washing machine broke over the weekend. (I have two dirty kids under the age of five - this is one of my nightmares.) I got the names of five or six repair services from the manufacturer. One didn't have availability until the week after (see previous statement RE: nightmare); another wanted to charge me for an assessment visit, THEN order the part, and charge me again for the repair (which would have required an extra visit to my home during COVID); another didn't service our Brooklyn neighborhood because it's street parking only. Precision returned my call promptly, had me text them a photo of the broken latch (the broken part was clearly visible), ordered the part, and had it in stock and installed the next day! As a bonus, the technician was as nice and friendly as he could be, and wore his mask the right way the entire time he was in my home. He told me they do all kinds of appliance repairs (just not HVAC). I have them saved in my phone and would definitely use them again! read more

Be aware that if you do end up having to get a new appliance, these guys do not install it for you. You will have to end up paying the service call fee (which is relatively very high compared to other companies) + new appliance + installation fee + haul away fee. We were quoted a high amount to replace some parts of our dishwasher, and decided that it would be better to get a new dishwasher. When Eddie said the cost of the service call can be put towards the repairs, we naturally assumed that it would include installing as well. But nope, they don't do installations. We ended up paying a lot more than we expected to. read more

I highly recommend Eddie. I had him come over to look at a problem I was having with my washing machine, and to disable the very loud buzzer on my dryer. He told me that the cost of fixing the washing machin!e (parts and labor) would be the same as it would be to buy a new one. I appreciated his honesty regarding this. I start by saying the 1 star is not based on their ability to fix my issue, but rather my terrible customer service experience. Precision appliance was able to fix the issue with my washing machine door latch and do so within the quoted price, however I had terrible experiences over the phone with Eddie when trying to get a breakdown of the cost. After getting a $275 quote to replace the latch on the door I expected it to be an involved repair since the part was only $40. The repair took only 10 minutes so I asked for more information about the other $235 in the cost. John, who did the repair responded, "If you wanted something cheaper why didn't you call someone else?" and told me to follow up with Eddie. I reached out to Eddie for a breakdown of the price and he initially seemed concerned about the response from John, however, that quickly changed. He proceeded to tell me that the $300 for this repair was just a "blip" on his company's radar and that I should be thanking him for what he was able to do for me. Keep in mind my initial text and first words to him were "thank you for having John repair this so quickly." I continued clarifying that I just wanted a breakdown of what the $275 charge was based on (labor?parts?diagnostic? etc) but he responded by saying "Well, how about I just come back over to your house, take the part out of your machine and give you your money back?" This seemed like a pretty aggressive way to respond to simply asking for clarity on where my money was going. After 20 minutes on the phone he finally clarified the breakdown of the charges and I explained that that was all I was asking for in the first place. If he had simply given the breakdown to begin with rather than lectured me about how I should be more grateful and threatened to return to my house this would've been a non-issue. read more

They came about a month ago to fix my washing machine (apperently a very common issue for LG machines) fixed it perfectly, but when it broke again a month later they came immediately on a very steep discount to make sure it wouldn't happen again. I haven't had much luck with appliances, so I've had several different repair companies come out in the past few years. Eddie was by far the best repairman. He's really easy to work with - he listened to my explanation of the issue over the phone and gave me an idea what to expect. Professional staff, knowledgeable and friendly. Eddie and Matt were prompt, and efficient. Eddie asked me to tell him what was the problem with my stove, you could tell he wanted to know the whole story so he could figure out what was wrong. He even took the time to explain how everything works, the mechanics of the pipes/oven, and to tell the difference between oven & gas smells. After inspection Eddie quoted a price to fix the igniter which was more than I expected but it was still a fair price for the work that needed to be done (and after researching for other quotes in the area, it was a good deal). Both guys make a great team. And now my oven works perfectly and it's totally worth the money. Can you give someone 20 stars when they actually never even came to repair something? I would give them to PAS. My Miele dryer stopped drying clothes. It was running and blowing cold. Mystery to me, figured the element must be shot. Called PAS to make an appointment. He recommended resetting the breaker, that sometimes the element can cause a partial throw of the breaker on a 208/220 line, and resetting it will do the trick Pulled out the unit, rest the breaker, and...BAM!! Blowing hot again!!! Free of charge (pun intended) Any guy honest enough to save you the cost of a visit, and the usual "it's the flux capacitor" $299 bill -just enough usually to make it not worth replacing the unit when nothing is wrong with it - is a guy worth calling when something IS wrong. 20 Stars!!!!! This is my first experience with PAS. We called to make an appointment to service our fridge because it's making grinding noises. Its a very expensive fridge and I'd rather service it early than wait until something breaks and I have to replace the whole thing.
