If I could give zero stars I would. I had the most horrible experience with this place because of the d-bag JIMMY. As most of the people did on here, I came to this place for the reviews and expected everything to be good. MAN WAS I WRONG & REGRET COMING HERE!!! I dropped off my Hyundai Tucson for my power seat to fix in the morning and that went good. The people upfront were friendly. Later into the afternoon, I received a call from the receptionist that the results from the diagnostic test was that I needed a new switch & I can pick up my car, pay my deposit for the parts to be ordered and as soon as the parts come in I can drop my car back off for fix. Ok cool, I get to the place, pay my portion that's due and expect to leave with my car. Mind you I notice my car still in the same parking position I left it that morning but didn't think anything of it. Shortly after Jimmy comes into the office and says that the mechanic is going to try to fix the position of the chair so it's in a better position while I drive. I thought gee that would be nice While waiting with another customer in the office he came in talking shiz about one of the mechanics (not caring that his customers are seated right next to them) & the receptionist tells him don't talk about this in front of the customers. Wow unprofessional AF. He goes back and forth outside into the office always complaining and yet not doing anything but being demanding. After about 30mins or so, Jimmy comes into the office and says I DONT THINK THIS IS A SWITCH PROBLEM BUT WE WILL SEE WHEN WE ORDER THE PART IT MAY BE SOMETHING MORE. He's telling the receptionist that I should leave my car overnight and she argues at him that I will bring it back in once parts are in. I can still drive my car! Im just thinking to myself how tf do you not know? Didn't I just pay for a diagnosis fee & left my car with you for hours to see what's the issue? So you mean to tell me that you're just NOW checking to see if that's the problem? I tell him all this & he says well someone worked on your car & calls me a liar & yells at me TAKE YOUR CAR ELSEWHERE I DONT WANT TO FIX IT. You're mad cause I'm asking questions about my vehicle? Gladly so, I went back into the office and told the receptionist what he said & got my refund. NEVER WILL I EVER COME HERE!!!! I WOULD RATHER SUFFER THAN COME TO THIS PLACE. This auto repair place has the wrong customer service. Took my car to be repaired on Friday and had to return it back on the Wednesday only to be told that we find additional issues and need to order the part additional charges. (Told you that you had three codes but we chose to fix only one. To save you money so that fixed 2 of the codes and only one came back.) and we need to order a new piece and it won't be here until Monday 'more money. The company made a decision for me without axing me if I wanted them to repair all the cove or just the one called that they chose "" to save me money. Where is the saving. read more

I followed the reviews and it got me to Precision Auto Care. Not having a regular mechanic to go to, I had to take the chance. Being stressed out over car issues to start the day doesn't help, but the nice lady Kristen was at the counter and her smile made me feel comfortable. They gave me a quote in a reasonable time and were able to fix the issues within the day. They showed me the trouble and I have my car back working without the loud noises. Made an appointment at 8am, it took them over 15 minutes to say they needed to see if my vehicle would fit in their bay/ on the lift. I asked how long it would be before they would know and the guy was extremely unprofessional right off the bat, calling me "Hun", and making it seem as if I was being impatient. I just needed to know if they were gonna be able to do it, and if they couldn't I needed to leave, and take it somewhere they could. His attitude was terrible, and I asked for my key back, it was in his hand, I reached out expecting him to hand it to me, and he pulled it back like he wasn't going to give it to me. At that point he had provided no service, and I owed him nothing, what on earth made him think he could withhold my key from me, I don't know, but he's very unprofessional, very arrogant, and entitled. I love this place! We came in to replace a pump after Pep Boys tried to scam us into buying parts we didn't need. The owner and cashier were honest, straight forward, and friendly! A few days later, our battery died. I knew it was already going out so it was really a surprise. Just move back to the Bay Area my new Used car engine light came on, the place I was going to go was to Busy, So I looked around on yelp and found Precision auto care so I started looking at the reviews and said let's try it. who would think the owner Jimmy will be the one to come out and help me "all you on yelp" knew what great customer service he has. So after determining I was having misfire in my cylinders he took it and fix the problem but was sorry he couldn't fix it on the first try. Having just moved in recently to the neighborhood, I needed a mechanic to have an oil change for my SUV. I drove down the street and I decided to try out Precision Auto Care. Boy! was I pleasantly surprise by the delightful customer service I received from Jim. I didn't have an appointment, no problem. Jim took me in and had my SUV ready in less than 2 hours. I had to tow my car here because it wouldn't start after sitting for for four month with no issues. All lights worked fine car other than not turning over to start. After calling AAA to come out for a jump I was advised that it may be the starter or fuel issue but still questionable because the tank was almost full. After towing my car here, The next day, I called to check their status and she wants wrong & I was told currently my tab was $480! I asked for what? A new battery (because it's over 5 years old & mind you the batter worked just fine) and an hour diagnostic mind you again they still haven't told me the issue. After asking more questions on why $480 for a battery the owner gets mad obviously saying just come get your car and hung up the phone. (I took off work early because of this) I get there my car is parked and sitting. He said I was yelling at him (I'm at work how could I be yelling in a office) & I was being rude. (not true) I ended up having to tow my car elsewhere. Turns out to be the fuel pump all of $750 being spent. Once I picked my car up from new location they told me my car had been worked on by someone prior because everything was not put back together properly and they broke my "layover" sensor (on purpose) all because I wanted to know why a battery cost so much. Then, I noticed they also scratched my car in two places (wish I could upload those) & was just freshly painted. I wouldn't tell anyone to take their car here he's a fraud his workers are a piece of s*** & just bad for business. Thinking he was doing me favor not being charged for a diagnosis and whatever he said he had already took apart and had to out back together when in actuality they lied broke my sensor piece which made me had spend an additional $100 for that sensor. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. read more

I have a rattle in the back of my car, I drove there to check, but we couldn't reproduce it even we drove for 10 mins nearby, then that guy checked the bottom of my car and tightened something there, they didn't charge me anything, (I need to further confirm if it fixes the issue because the rattle doesn't always appear), I do really appreciate this guy! read more

Jimmy and his team are great. PAC has done work on 3 occasions for me over the last 14 months. They give reasonable estimates and sometimes complete the work below estimated cost. Down to earth and have never tried to do anything shady. They have saved me thousands of dollars vs. Audi of Oakland quotes for the same maintenance and have proven better at diagnosing issues. If only I had discovered them sooner! And I don't have to call them 2-3 times to get a response which I recently had to do with both Audi Oakland and Audi Livermore. read more

Though the bill was a tough one to swallow, especially after Xmas but that said, my car needed some TLC after driving around two different states and much city driving while ignoring my vehicle's regular service. The customer service woman was really great (sorry, I didn't catch any names). The person who closed me out, I'm assuming was the owner or head mechanic, was very thorough on the work that was done, threw in some wipers because he saw that I needed some. They called me after checking my car and the numerous pesky issues, which not all shops do! They went over prices before doing any work and confirmed that they could get me car to me that day. They threw in wipers which was badly needed and I appreciated it! I have found my new service center for my car, and I'm thrilled that I didn't have to kiss a lot of frogs before finding this place. I've been taking my care here for 5 or 6 years. They are honest and have even sent me to other places a couple of times because they knew I'd be able to get it done cheaper elsewhere. Where else can you find a mechanic like that? I took my car in last week because of a melted wire. To replace the wire was over $1000 if you purchased a new wiring unit, so Jimmy went to the junkyard and found a replacement wire he cut out of another VW for $10. After fixing the wiring, the air conditioning, changing my oil, and diagnosing my airbag light, the total cost was less than $400 for parts and labor. On top of this, they always keep you in the loop about what is happening and are really good about communication. Definitely take your car here. read more

I've taken my lemon of an Audi here a couple times with great service. This last time I brought it in because my engine was leaking something profusely. Dropped it off at 9am, they called at 11am to say that I should haul it back to the dealer who had replaced the engine 6 months ago because the water pump went out and it should still be under warranty. These folks are super fantastic. My car died on freeway, jumping no good. Tow truck driver was able to tell me it was likely the alternator. Came to this place, towed here, no warning, with my dead car :p They took me in, fed me pizza, gave me chocolate and four hours of pleasant hanging out and watching then work later, I have a working vehicle. I'm as skeptical as they come when it comes to mechanics but I gave these guys a try because a friend, whose opinion I respect, recommended them. I first took my Infinity to them a few months ago and had them do a tune up and oil change. Price was reasonable and no problems but I'm not going to Yelp about that. But last week, these guys really earned my respect. I wanted them to check out my suspension because I noticed a rough ride when I had a full load. Jimmy, the owner told me that my suspension components were fine and didn't need to be replaced. However, he said that "if I wanted a better ride, he could recommend a hydraulic suspension system that would cost about $1,000. It's certainly not necessary but I would notice a big difference. I decided to have the work done. They did a great job, saved the old components in case I wanted them and wow, what a difference in the performance. By the way, they also gave me a ride to and from my office. These guys are honest, astute, very reasonably priced and considerate they even called me several days later to make sure that I was happy with the results. Been back several times since, small things oil change break light etc.always manage to get me in quick and do awesome job. Feel lucky to have found them. I took my 93 Camaro z28 here and they got back to me within the same day. My car showed that it was overheating and I was kind of freaked out because the car wasn't smoking so I took it in and they said that they tightened something in the car and it was fine. Then I drove away and the temperature gauge went back up so I came back the guy said it's just your gauges and I should bring it back in a couple weeks to fix it. Wow! Yelp works!!!! Had an emergency with my 2000 Grand Marquis - stopped and had to be towed! Suspected it was the fuel pump (I'm no mechanic, but I was right!) - was going to take it elsewhere but came to Yelp - saw Precision Auto Care and the mostly positive reviews - they deserve every single one! Diagnosed it, gave me a quote - car was ready the following day and the price was LESS than the quote! I also LOVE the way the mechanic actually brought out the old parts to show me what they replaced. Suffice to say ... They have a new customer! and I'll be recommending my friends too!
