I couldn't be more happier with this place. About a year ago, I brought my car into Precision to have some extensive work done to my tire/axel. Initially, I only brought it to them because they were close, and within walking distance to my home. When I left that day, I was extremely happy with the work they completed. Not only was the work done right, but in a timely manner (same day). They were also honest about what I should fix soon. Hi My next trip there was for breaks. Not a hard procedure, but again extremely happy with their work. Fast forward to today. I took my car in because I thought my transmission was slipping. Yikes! When I got there, the guy immediately knew what was wrong. Asked us if we had just installed a new battery, to which we did. He informed us our codes just didn't get reset and the computer was causing the car to malfunction. Including the transmission. The check engine light had been going off and on the last couple of days. So, it made perfect sense. He didn't charge us for his time or hooking the car up. Just told us to come back if we were still having problems. Cars running better, so as of now we are confident that was just the issue. If you want good work done, but honest people and at fair prices. These are your people! We won't go anywhere else! read more

A trustworthy mechanic. While I grew up in the Brandon area, Precision Automotive was my family's mechanic for many years. We never had much of an issue with their service; it was always fair, timely and done correctly. Mike, the owner, is a man of his word, and doesn't cheat his clients. This alone is enough to recommend his shop. Some cons. I moved away from the Brandon area a couple of years ago, and haven't used Precision in a few years. Family still took their cars there, but have been less pleased in the last couple of years with his service as the shop has gotten progressively bigger and busier. I would still recommend them for quality work, but sometimes they may miss things, and cost you the time of a return trip. read more

Sadly Mike has passed, he was my go to guy and is missed. Precision Auto is not the same. I found unnecessary work was done on my AC (over $400) same problem still existed and Precision wanted me to put another $700 plus for additional repair. They don't have the current AC equipment for late model cars and I found it was just a minor problem, fixed for under $30. So, sad without trustworthy Mike. RIP. read more

Honesty and Integrity are two words that sum up the work of Mike Young, owner of Precision Automotive! Mike Young has been our family mechanic for more than 18 years. NEVER have we been cheated by him. NEVER have we had a problem with any of his work. I have even had warranty work done on my new automobiles and took it to Mike to make sure the work had been done correctly. I have taken my new cars in to the dealership for repair under warranty, only to be told there was nothing wrong. I have then taken my new car for maintenance to Mike, and he documented the problem was really there, and I went back to the dealer to make them do the repair under warranty. I have been told by a Toyota dealer repair shop that there was a tear in a covering for a joint on my Toyota Avalon, and they wanted $700 for the repair. I figured Mike would do it cheaper, but when he inspected my car, he couldn't find any such tear. He said that he wouldn't do a repair on something that wasn't broken because it was unethical. Thank you Mike for being ethical! Mike will NOT cheat you. He is fair priced and tries to save you money. He will not recommend repair for anything that doesn't need to be repaired. And will even estimate how long you can go before the repair is essential, regardless of whether you have Mike do the repair or not. He only uses authorized repair parts for your car. My family and friends trust Mike, and I will continue to frequent his business so long as we remain in Brandon! THANK YOU MIKE for being such a great mechanic and an amazing person! read more

This has been my family's mechanic for a number of years. I like the guy a lot, he's very efficient. Most importantly he's honest, I've never been cheated. For automotive shops, that's saying a lot. A couple of times I came in with problems I expected cost a fortune, but I drove away with a bill under $80. read more

I took my car to the shop for what appeared to be a small oil leak and I had always received good service there in past when it was under Mike's management. I was sad to hear that Mike passed away last year. He was a great guy and I am sure he is dearly missed by a lot of people. The place appears to be under new management now and the level of customer service doesn't seem quite the same anymore and they are only open until 4:00 p.m. now. read more

Mike was awesome. I went to Brandon Honda and they gave me a laundry list of $2500 to fix my car. I took the list to Mike and he showed me belts they wanted to charge $230 for he charged me $65. Same honda belt. put in an A/C compressor fan for $280 that they wanted $700. After I found them I won't go anywhere else. read more

Took a Nissian Sentra in for new struts and they did a brake job and charged me $670. Mechanic couldn't make a full assesment, kept calling me every 30 minutes every time he found something and was unable to complete a full assessment before formulating a plan. As I said, the car was intended to receive new struts but they never pre-ordered the parts and recommended a brake job since they could not get the parts they neglected to procure.
