Since I cannot leave a review on google or on Facebook... This place is a nightmare. Just trying to enjoy a drink at one of the best bars in town and of course CANNOT find a parking Spot. This business does not care about its neighbors, and never finishes any work. They have random cars for sale infront of other businesses, broken down cars that sit for months, years. My check engine light was on for 3 months, I ignored it until the weather got hot. The A/C was locked out, due to a wire to a water temperature sensor on the engine that had been chewed by a pest. I struggled due to the location to temporarily connect them, the A/C and the temperature gauge worked, then I bought a new harness. Sonny's was the 3rd garage I went to. I arranged to drop it off in the morning and have someone drive me home. The guy at the counter said take a seat, he made me a cup of coffee, 10 minutes later I got a ride home. 4 hours later it was ready to pick up. Thinking it would take several hours to remove and replace interference to get access, I was prepared for a big bill, not so. They deserve 5 Stars. Stopped in today as a walk in because I was in desperate need of tires. Also my elderly Aunt goes to Sonny's and they go above and beyond for her every time she comes in. Every where I called for tires they could not fit me in, as well as, had extremely high prices for tires. Walked into Sonny's, worked directly with Jason, not only was he able to get me the same type of tires that I originally had but they were a really good price, compared to the other shops I had been calling. I wouldn't recommend this shop and here's why. For starters they are shady, and intentionally wanted to mess my car up so I'd come back and spend more money. Being a woman, you have to be careful because men at these types of establishments take advantage of you and or screw you over. In this scenario it was both for me. I got a NEW battery from this shop in late 2018 then fast forward to October 2019, the "NEW" battery failed. I call the shop confused and they say come bring your car in and we will replace it at no cost. I (at the time) thought this was a very nice gesture, being naive I brought my car in to get the NEW battery and it's was all fine and dandy. Fast forward to this week, my car battery is completely DEAD. It's not even been a year and it's dunzo. I call and take it to a highly recommended shop on the other side of town, and well guess what? The guys at this shop put a completely wrong battery in my car. They didn't match the voltage of the battery to my alternator, and could've seriously screwed my car up big time. I'm sorry, but if the men here are so incapable of putting the wrong battery, yes battery in my car what makes you think they can do something that requires more effort. I also find it funny that when I was there the man told me I needed a new transmission, here we are a year later and my transmission is STILL good. So bad battery, & telling me I needed more work than I actually did....0/10 do not recommend these guys. read more

I had a decent coolant leak on my Chevy (typical). I came in on a Friday mid-day and they called me same day with a diagnosis and a quote to get the repairs done. The work was completed next day. Steve went above and beyond to make sure it stayed under $100.00 as he had promised previously over a phone call, and I paid $98.00 at the end of the day. It was the most painless trip to a repair shop I have ever had. I can't thank Steve and Co. at Sonny's enough for their professionalism, speed and reasonable pricing. I've been going here for years until they recently decided to become lying theives. They charged me $600.00 to replace struts, lower control arms, and 4 wheel alignment plus the $400 I spent on parts because I refuse to pay the 60% mark up they charge on their low-end aftermarket parts. This was for a clunking noise that turned out to be $12 swaybar bushings that take 15 minutes to replace. Do yourself a favor go someplace else. read more

Omg I am so grateful for Sonny's. I left not that long ago and had a great experience. I left very early this morning and noticed my tire light came on, and figured it was just a low tire, nothing to worry about, however, I pulled over off Bloomingdale ave to a gas station and my tire was FLAT, I was very scared bc doing any driving with a bad tired on Bloomingdale ave is extremely dangerous due to peoples tempers and congestion. Luckily, Sonny's took me in immediately despite them being EXTREMELY busy and already packed to the gills w a lot of cars ready to have their repairs and I got there before they were even open. They handled my situations despite this and they were very nice and were thorough with making sure my tires were all good and that the pesky tire light was totally off before me leaving. I was very scared this morning and they were understanding. I will admit I knew I needed 2 new tires and I was putting it off but thankfully there are good people in this world and this place has good, hard working people. Thank you sooooo much. Don't use Sonny's Automotive and definitely do not give them your credit/debit card or they will keep charging the account. My car was broken into at Sonny's and they claim no loss. They switched my new car battery out for an old one and then charged me for a new one. That is not fair or good business! Sonny's is a rip off place - unless you don't care to be ripped off, don't use Sonny's!!! read more

Had a bad wheel & asked them to diagnose the wheel, because the tire continually was going flat. Once they inspected it they told me the wheel was fine that I just needed a new tire, bought new tire & it turns out it was the wheel that was bad. So no I'm out 160.00 on a new tire I didn't need. To add insult to injury, i was charged another 20.00 to attempt to patch/fix the recurring flat tire, all while the manager has a shit eating grin on his face read more

This shop will overcharge you and find or create things wrong with your car! I went in for an oil change three months ago and they said I needed $650.00 worth of repairs. I said, no thanks.
