Precision Flooring has done work at our Church over the years. We were looking to replace the flooring in the office area with Luxury Vinyl Plank and carpet in February 2015. Don brought samples for the staff to look at and answered many questions. We decided on the product, but the financing was not available at the time. In July, funds became available and Don was helpful in getting the dates set up for installation. School would be starting on August 26, so time was short. We will be doing the project in two Phases. Sheila made contact to let us know what would be expected from the crew. The product was delivered; Ricardo and Martin arrived on the scheduled day on time and ready to work. They were easy to work with and completed the one admin area first, so we could get her desk set backup. Each day they would clean up and leave the office clear of product. We had a great experience with Precision Flooring! We had two rooms done, going from carpeting to wood floors. The people at Precision always promptly returned calls and emails and really focused on customer service. They showed up when they said they would show up, were very thorough, and always cleaned up at the end of the day. The hardest part about having them do our floors was having to go into their store to pick out the flooring. There is a LOT to choose from. The only snag we experienced, had to do with the manufacturer of the wood floor we chose. And, Precision Flooring bent over backwards to successfully resolve the issue. This is the second time that we have used Precision floors to install laminate in our house (3rd time overall). Last year- downstairs, Last week- stairs and the upstairs including all new baseboards. Just like before they did an excellent job. The installers Eve', Tony and Brad were extremely meticulous and they are excellent craftsman... Not to mention really honest and trustworthy guys. Special thanks to Eve' for an outstanding job on the steps... Just awesome work! Eve' has an old-school way about him- he truly cares about his work and is a perfectionist!!! We have been looking for hardwood flooring for a very long time. When we went into the showroom and saw the floor, color and finish, we knew this was the floor we had been looking for. It came 7 inches wide and up to 10 foot lengths. The office staff was friendly and helpful.It was a family atmosphere. The installation was excellent. Most of the first day was spent figuring out the best placement so that the floor would line up properly throughout the multiple rooms. Once that was done a full crew came in and rapidly installed the rest of the floor. They did some really nice trim work around a access door in the floor which we really like. The trim around the fireplace and adjoining other floors is excellent. There were a few minor items that came up along the way - as there are with all projects - but nothing that Donnie didn't take care of in a professional manner. I would strongly recommend Precision Flooring to anyone looking for new flooring. read more

We are so pleased with the outcome of re-carpeting our den and two bathrooms due to working with Don at Precision Flooring. We spent several months trying to get good help at various carpet places trying to figure out the right carpet and padding for a difficult den situation. We purchased our Hanchette Park home about two weeks ago and a vast majority of the flooring was overlaid with tile. The entry, dining room, stairs and even upstairs hallway were totally encapsulated. Don and his team managed to remove all of it and salvage the original, 3/4" white oak hardwoods underneath. The results are nothing short of spectacular. His demo team was careful and attentive. His finish team were artists. We never expected them to turn out the way they have. Don was working under a condensed time frame and he absolutely crushed it. When it comes time to remove the remaining tile in the kitchen and downstairs guestroom (prior owners loved tile...), we won't look anywhere else. I just had new flooring installed to replace nasty old carpet in two rooms of my newly purchased condo. Extremely happy that I went to Precision Flooring. From the start, the staff was super friendly, helpful in finding the product I desired, and was very accommodating to my short timeline. I was helped by all the staff during my visit, the front desk, sales, billing, scheduling. It was all pretty amazing, and I instantly felt I was at the right place to do my business. My job was scheduled for 4 days, as I was told you never know what lies beneath what you can't see. When the installers came (big shout out to Ricardo and Martin), they explained what they were going to do and what are some of the situations that may occur as they removed the carpet and inspected the floor in preparation for the new floor. Ricardo and Martin were very professional, extremely efficient, respectful of the property, and left the property in a very clean condition. Matching what we already had was important to the look of our home. The owner Don Gupton was extremely helpful with regard to contacting the vendor from Canada who manufactures Lauzon flooring. Don followed up with status calls so we knew when the material would be available. He also noticed an error made by Lauzon where they were going to sell us more material than we needed for this job. They protected/moved my furniture, removed the old wood flooring, installed the new flooring very quickly, placed all the furniture back in its original position, and even added felt to the bottom of the furniture to insure it would not damage my new floor! I am a small business owner and we had a new vinyl plank floor installed 2 years ago. Over time we had some issues with the floor. Don, the owner, looked into it for us and made some repairs. However we continued to have problems. Don ended up getting the manufacturer to come out and they determined it was a manufacturer problem, nothing to do with Precision's work. Don arranged for the manufacturer to give us a new floor (different type) and all is well now. He really went to bat for us and the installation and floor is great. read more

I chose this company because they we local and gave me a good price. The material was excellent. First the job took several days longer that quoted and that cost me days from work. After the job they tried to give me an additional bill for " extra" work that I never agreed to. They were to glue the hardwood flooring on my slab. They did not put down a vapor barrier nor use the glue recommended by the manufacturer, even though it was pointed out to them. They would not show up until 10 am because one of them had to take kids to child care or school daily. When they did show up they often had to go out and get the tools they needed, They did a poor job of daily clean up. The worst part is that I have many spot that sound hollow because the flooring did not stick. When I called then about the problem they sent the same installer back out to drill holes in the new floor and try to squirt epoxy under the new flooring, this effort had only marginal success. We warned a friend about them but they tried to order flooring from them and when the installers went to pick it up they had forgotten to order the material. There only response was sorry. I would never recommend them for anything. read more

i chose precision flooring based on their 20yrs+ experience. also i thought paying a premium would give me premium results - like buying a high end car; instead i feel like i paid for a Mercedes and got a Ford Focus. my experience after hiring them to lay laminate flooring was appalling. aside from a 3x delay in schedule, ordering the wrong material, and not being responsive in responding to a mess they left from the sawing, they charged me additionally for problems they caused during their work. this is a competitive market. shop elsewhere. read more

I'm sorry to report, this was not the experience I hoped it would be. We used Precision Floors to replace carpets and in a new addition. The initial work was fare at best but we did have issues and wall damage due to inexperienced tech the company sent us. I also had issues with Don Sr. "The owner" but luckily Dons son got involved to help resolve our issue. The real problem related to the second phase of the project about a year later when we re did the original floors in the house. I could not get the company to respond to my requests for quotes. After over a month trying I finally got a quote. Then I tried to get them to schedule a start date and again they would not respond back. Finally I contacted another company, Elegant Floors in Sunnyvale, who where extremely responsible and did a great job. I would not recommend using Precision Floors if you expect them to be responsive and do a great job read more

We got Engineered Maple Hardwood Floors installed recently three bedroom and living room. They look amazing. I worked with Roger to get quotes and measure. He knew exactly what I needed in terms of type of hardwood to level with the tile floor next to my living room. It took them a week and half to finish the install. I installed hardwood in the dressing area in the master bathroom as well. For the master bath toilet room, I got "water proof plank" that looks like maple hardwood. They look amzing, and I love my floor! The installer was Ebi which is his nick name. He was amazing. I am going to send the pic to Don, so that he can post it. I love everybody at this place. You walk in there, and they treat you like a family. They take time to explain different types of wood. Ebi was "superb" installer, and he is so detailed and precise! I would hire him any day! We just finished our project with Precision Flooring and we are very happy with the result. We wanted to replace our carpets upstairs and have it match the hardwood floors downstairs. Tim helped us to find a hardwood that matched beautifully with our existing wood. We had a lot of questions and Tim came to our home in Redwood City multiple times to make sure all of our questions were answered. Evi was our installer, but a better word for him is artist. He is very precise and has a true eye for beauty. I was so impressed with his attention to detail and how much he really cared about how every board would look. Ernesto was our sander/finisher and he was so polite, informative and meticulous. Finally, Anius was the one who came and did the touch-up painting. Precision Floors just finished putting Indusparquet Brazilian Hickory throughout our condo. There were a number of challenges that Donnie and his team overcame. Among them, they helped us make sure we were meeting our HOA requirements for materials and installation method. After selecting the particular product, we found out it wasn't widely available. Donnie checked on the shipment regularly and updated us without over committing which kept our expectations in check. When it came time to install, the Christmas holidays were coming up. Don called us to find out when his team could work. They were able to start two days earlier than promised. The installation team was able to work around the mess that we had as we had just moved in and were in a state of unpacking and disarray. The team also removed the baseboards (upon our request) rather than installing quarter-round. They did a great job of putting each piece back in place and getting everything lined up. Overall, we are very happy with the price, workmanship and the results. read more
