We are particular and do thorough research before embarking on home improvement projects. My husband notices the details of how products are made. I was in great need of flooring that was easy to maintain and could handle an active family. Precision Flooring was recommended to me by a friend. They have lived up to this recommendation. When I walked into the showroom, Chris showed me the various options, explained warranty and quality rating of each type of vinyl plank that I was considering for my kitchen, bathrooms, dining room, and hallway. He even let me take home a large sample so I could see how it looked. I called the next day, comfortable with the choice and made an appointment with Don. Don came out, calling just before arriving. He measured the areas and spoke with me about some details. After the weekend, I received the initial quote. I forgot to return the floor sample and wanted to make some adjustments to the plans, so I returned to the showroom. From the moment we walked in the Precision Floors showroom we were given quality customer service. Andy was great at showing us different flooring options. We were doing the entire upstairs house and were undecided about carpet vs. flooring - Andy was great at explaining all our options. We ultimately decided on a engineered hardwood floor for the entire floor. He was timely in coming out and doing the measurements and getting the estimate. We were on the schedule within 2 weeks. Since we were doing the entire upstairs they were very accommodating in doing the rooms separately since we did not want to remove all the furniture to downstairs. Our installers, Tony and Brandon showed up on time every day and were very nice and professional. They did an outstanding job on the floor installation. We have some unique angles and we were extremely impressed at how it all just flowed from room to room - especially since they had to do in stages. Tony and Brandon also went out of their way to ensure the new floors worked with our closets and had to do some extra work to have a nice flow. They even made a custom transition for a unique closet we had - and we didn't even ask. They were always courteous, friendly, cleaned up the job site daily and were just a joy. I live in a historic area of Santa Clara city where tract homes were built in 1927 or earlier. Most of these tract homes went through many renovation stages. My house's original oak floors were in very bad condition and many areas on the floors throughout the house were cut out and not repaired. One corner of the living room was on the low side. Needless to say, I was concerned how to get this area fixed without going through another foundation work. I had three floor contractors to bid on for my floor replacement, but did not attempt to hire any of them. Until I passed by the Floor Precision's van on Coleman Avenue one day. So I Yelped them and read into their company. After working out the proposal with Andy, three weeks later, the team, Martin, Armando, Kaden and Bryant showed up on my front door. The job finished in 9 days, completely gutting out old floor material, installed a new sub-floor and new floor material. The living room is not quite leveled as I expected, but I could not ask for more. I am very pleased with Martin's work and his attention to details. Martin is a good craftsman and team leader. Very happy with the overall experience with Precision Flooring. Looked at a couple other flooring vendors, but just felt like Precision knew their stuff and helped educate us on the various materials and provided good insight on the work itself and scope. Had Precision Flooring install carpet, vinyl tile and engineered hardwood in our house while we were living in it. Warehouse of products was large and the team was knowledgeable and very helpful in answering our questions. Able to take samples to check out at home. Tim Manning did our measurement and quote and provided insight on the work specific to our home and set reasonable expectations. Good communication and responsive to questions. Erica - kept us aware of the scheduling and work teams. All the work teams were great. So appreciated their expertise, daily prep and clean-up at the end of the day, especially since we were living in the house. My wife and I bought an old home in need of some TLC, including the floors which were covered in old carpets. We had multiple contractors coming in and out of the home, and work on the floors somehow had to be done in parallel with these other contractors if we were to get into our home in a reasonable amount of time. In addition, each room had a different challenge, with some having existing hardwood, some having damaged hardwood floors, and some having nothing under the carpet but MDF+sub-floors. I spent the last three days in a whirlwind of getting my new house ready and visiting over a half dozen different carpet/flooring stores. Before that I dealt with several laminate floor installers, and have to say the guys at Precision flooring are the most honest respectable salesmen I have come across so far. I talked to both Don (father) and Donnie (son), and both always answered my questions and concerns even when their answers benefited their competitors. This is the first store that gave me a fair price without significant price comparison across stores. Half the stores I went to tried to push me into a product I eventually did not like. Donnie was a great listener and fished out the perfect carpet that was within my budget. I am a very thorough researcher and called over a dozen people in the carpet industry from manufacturers to carpet cleaners and everything they said aligned with what Donnie told me. Can't say as much about the other stores. I did a lot of research and investigating before I hired Precision Flooring. All my worries and concerns were put to rest when I hired them. Don came to my home last year to give me an estimate. Don was sincere and honest about the quality of their work. He patiently answered all of my questions and reassured me of any concerns. We have been "re-freshing" our kitchen- it has been 20 years since we put everything in - and it was time! Donnie was very helpful in figuring out our flooring needs. We foster puppies for the humane society and we need a flooring that will be puppy friendly. We decided to go with luxury vinyl tile by Armstrong and to put down a piece of sheet vinyl on top of it if need be when puppies are here. Andy came out to measure and explained our options of either going over our existing vinyl or taking it all out and putting down marine grade plywood and then the LVT. He gave us quotes on both options. Andy did not pressure us to go either way- but rather gave us the pros and cons of both. We decided to take out the old. The install guys were here right on time, extremely neat and clean about tearing everything out! The install took 2 1/2 days (grouting on the 1/2 day). They took their time to make sure the layout was right and to make sure they understood what we wanted. An excellent experience working with Precision Flooring!!! We bought our house 2 years ago. It was a wall to wall carpet, so we decided to get rid of it and have hardwood floor installed instead. We did a few stores and ended up at Precison Flooring where Donnie took time to show us the products that would correspond to what we wanted. And we found an earth friendly Brazilian hardwood floor that has all the qualities we expected. Donnie came quickly to make the measurements and arranged the schedule of the installation in order not to delay our moving in. They kept the worksite clean, and they finished within the expected timeframe. I live in the Sac area and work in Cupertino, when I decided to get new carpet I started my search on Yelp and that's how I came across Precision Flooring, they had great reviews. Ultimately I found a carpet I liked and they we're happy to come to my house in Eldorado Hills where they did an amazing job, Fred and his crew finished in one day including moving all of my furniture. Unfortunately after a couple weeks I noticed a flaw that appeared in the carpet, with in a few days Don, (the owner), came up from San Jose, checked it out and assured me that these types things are very rare and would replace it completely, in a couple weeks Fred and his crew came back with a new roll, replaced all of the carpet in one day including moving the furniture, I am so happy I found these guys, I understand they are opening a showroom in Granite Bay, lucky Sacramento! Precision Flooring did an outstanding job replacing our 20+ year-old carpeted upstairs rooms and staircase with new pre-finished wood flooring. We chose IP Amendiom ("Brazilian oak") from a good selection in their showroom, and they were able to install about 2 weeks later. The entire job (about 700 sq ft) was done in just less than 3 weeks. We really appreciated the pre-finished wood, having gone through the sanding and polyurethane smell (plus having to move out of the house for a week) previously when re-finishing the downstairs hardwood floors some years ago. The workers were friendly, conscientious and did a quality job. They fixed a couple of minor glitches with the baseboard when asked without any complaints. He had Precision Flooring's Everardo (Evi) install hard wood floors in most of our house. We put maple natural engineering hardwood and water proof luxury plank in the bathroom. He is meticulous, very detailed oriented and a perfectionist. He is also very happy at his work. We couldn't be happier with the quality of his work. He created molding around the tub in the bathroom and it was a work of art. He cleaned up at the end of every day, and uses a special system with tubing to suck the dust from cutting which collects 95% of dust before it even comes out. Really 5 star + is not enough. We have already recommended him to our friends. Apparently he has been at Precision for 19 years and that says a lot about the company. I wouldn't go with any one else. read more
