We referred to Primo by a friend and cannot be happier with the service. Our garage was in very bad shape. I called Friday and spoke to Freeman at 11AM. He stopped by around 1 pm and gave us a quote and a brochure on the doors. He gave us a quote to just patch the door to get it working again and for an entirely new door with new weather stripping all around. Best bet for us was to get a new door because our old one was cracking in several places. We confirmed via text on Friday. Just a few hours later and he came back over, collected the deposit, and gave me an invoice. He said he already ordered our door before he came over and just had to pick it up. On Monday he and Adam showed up around 1pm and had our new door installed and running by 4pm. The new door is GREAT and has a 1 yr watrant Overall Primo has great communication, they are fast, friendly and affordable. Thank you so much Freeman and Adam, our new garage is beautiful. I really can't say enough good things about the guys here at Primo Garage Doors; but I'll try. At least two decades ago, my late father and I built a garage door together to replace one that had been damaged. It was a monster... a beast; a golem of wood and framework that must have at least weighed half a ton. It wasn't pretty, but it worked. And even though it had burned out our automatic garage door opener years ago, we had kept it around because it was simply two big and heavy to replace again, especially with my father growing older. The two final straws were 1. Father's Passing in 2007 followed by the wife and I's subsequent move back into my childhood home to help my mother with expenses and 2. the fact that the door was so cumbersome, it finally snapped one of the springs, making opening the door next to impossible. And so, with my tax return in hand - it was time to take the plunge into the world of home improvement. My discovery of Primo was a happy accident. Freeman, one of the owners, came into my post office one day to renew his P.O. Box and we got to talking. He gave me a few ball park numbers and his card and we parted ways. A few weeks later I gave him a call and had him come out to take measurements and give us some concrete figures. I was originally thinking of going with a big company like Mesa Garage Doors, but I really wanted to keep my dollars "local", so to speak. Freeman took measurements and gave us numbers and a whole range of choices. What was very refreshing was there was no pressure at all to buy, or what to buy.. just facts, figures and suggestions. He left the rest up to me and my family. We were originally going to go with just a garage door, no opener - but he gave us a really sweet package deal. For $845, we got a high quality aluminum garage door in the color we wanted (almond), removal and haul away of our monster of a garage door, installation of the garage door opener, a remote, and installation and programming of an outside keypad for access. Freeman and his son Adam came at the time they said they would and removed the old door. It was really cool to see them do this. Their truck was rigged with a framework on top that allowed them to back up into the garage, remove the old door and lower it onto and strap it into the framework for easy haul away. It may have been a simple thing, but it was ingenious. They then installed the new door and the opener and cleaned up after themselves. The whole process took about 6 hours. The door looks wonderful - like it'd been a part of the house since day one; and the garage door opener is rock solid reliable and almost whisper quiet! Freeman's been running the business since 1974, and he and his son work very well together. They were both professional, responsible and friendly. I would highly recommend them for any door replacement and servicing, no matter how big or small. They also offer a variety of residential and commercial door, window and gate services. To put it bluntly... best $845 I've ever spent. Great value for the money, and it added value and curb appeal to the house. Great work, guys! read more

This is the 2nd time I used them, for my older garage door system. Adam came here, on time, and replaced a CV part, and he gave the system a lube, and it was good to go! He only charged me for the service call, which was $85., and didn't charge any extra, for his services. You rarely ever see that, anymore! Today's visit, the door wouldn't go higher than 18" off he ground, and just stop! Adam showed up, ahead of schedule.......checked things out, that he didn't see on his first trip, repaired them, and told me, that he put it under WARRANTY, which there was no charge, whatsoever! I decided to go the DIY route to replace a broken spring. I ordered springs and parts from Amazon and installed them after watching a YouTube tutorial. When the door kept throwing the cables and I couldn't get the door balanced I decided to bring in a pro to check my work. After checking local companies via the NextDoor app I decided to call the closest one to my house which was Primo. Freeman showed up about 20 minutes later and preceded to show me what I did wrong, he also told me which size springs to order. I followed his suggestions and everything works perfectly! WONDERFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Adam came at 7:15 p.m on "Labor Day" and gave me the BEST quote out there!!! I had called several (about 10) garage door companies and all gave me outrageous quotes. I sent Adam a message through yelp and he responded within minutes and based on what I told him, he gave me a VERY FAIR ballpark figure on what it would cost me. I proceeded to send him pictures of the problem (my daughter had backed out of my garage and hit one side of the vertical tracks and bent both the track and the two brackets). After sending him pictures and explaining, he quoted me even a lower price. He showed up within the hour as promised and took an hour to fix the problem. He then proceeded to adjust and fix "EVERYTHING" that had been done incorrectly when my garage door had been installed before I moved in by a different garage co. He explained everything thoroughly and made sure everything was up to code and working correctly. At 5:40pm on a Tuesday evening, while programming my garage door opener, I heard a 'pop' and then saw smoke coming out of the Genie motor. I moved into this house 3 days earlier, and this could have been the straw that broke the camels back. I called Primo Garage Doors and was thrilled that they even answered the phone at that hour.
