Here are the lowlights of my experience with Matt: --Communication was a nightmare. He responded to me while he was doing the job (a plus!) but he was more interested in complimenting his own work, man-splaining, and cracking corny jokes than he was in listening my concerns. Whenever there was a problem, he blamed someone else. ---Cost was very high. This is my fault , as I should have gotten more estimates. --The work was below average. For example, Matt installed a bifold door. He asked if I wanted it painted and when I asked if it would need to be painted, he said it was up to me. I opted to leave it unpainted but had no idea that Matt would leave pencil marks and scuffs all over it. By that time, I was so tired of interacting with him that I decided to paint it myself. Less than three months later, the door came off the track and the pin that holds it in place will not go back in. I've been trying to get him to come back to fix the door (as per his warranty) for two weeks. Ha! Who am I kidding? I could go on but you get the drift. Save yourself some money and headaches and find someone else.

I hired David to replace a flat roof and the stone gable of the front part for a single attached family house. Their job consisted of leveling the roof to avoid large amounts of water from accumulating on the roof, wrapping both sides of the parapet wall to reach the parapet cups so it can properly insulate the roof and, finally, removing and replacing the broken stones on the front gable roof to ensure safety from any falling stones. None of the above mentioned tasks were done correctly and in fact they were done with extremely poor craftsmanship and it was clear from the result of the job that absolutely zero effort was put into the work. For instance, on the flat roof, David used an EPDM membrane that wasn't properly attached to the fiberboard roof panel on the plywood, which is completely wrong. He also didn't use any waterproof or vapor lining. Furthermore, the materials used on my roof looked old like he recycled materials from previous projects rather than buying new ones. In addition, he did not level the roof correctly causing rain water to sit on the roof for more than 5 days. Another failed part of this project. He did not properly  seal the gutters on both sides causing the rain water, that leaked from the roof, to freeze which affected my and the neighbor's wall. Also, the gutters weren't leveling which caused inches of water to sit there until it evaporated. Moreover, he was supposed to fix the whole gutter system and level that part of the roof using insulation to prevent water from collecting, but he never showed up. For the parapet wall, he left a big gap between the wall and the parapet cups, which caused several problems, including failing to properly insulate my house. This made it unbearable, especially during the cold winter temperatures. Finally, the front gable roof was done poorly. When it was windy, pieces of slate stone began falling off, and water was flashing in all directions. This is really dangerous and unsafe. As mentioned above, I am deeply disappointed with the poor quality of work this company performed on the roofs. I honestly can't believe they have a 5-star rating and over 20 years of experience. They charged me over $14,000 for a job that clearly didn't justify the cost and has only led to further problems and expenses. When I voiced my concerns, David took it upon himself to trespass on my property and my neighbors' to film my roof and all the neighborhs roof, as well when I wasn't home. This is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I would not recommend this contractor to anyone looking for a team that values customer respect and delivers work with integrity, as they failed on both ends.

The restoration included a new roof, siding and new door and ramp. He stripped the shed down to the bare plywood and made any repairs necessary. Leo even painted the door. Over deliver, ahead of schedule, exceeding expectations, didn't have to become my own project…read moremanager, trust worthy crew,  over and beyond are some ways I have to describe John J Contracting and this blows my mind because every contractor who has done work to my house over the last 15 years in most cases not one of those descriptive words apply to any of them! To say that I'm blown away by John J contracting who checked off every one of those boxes is mind blowing to me Project was to convert my garage into a utilizable living space  I 1st met with Paul who listened to what I wanted done and put together a plan to help me convert my garage into a dance/music studio for my kids.   His ideas were better then the previous 3 contractors I met with, he took a day to create my estimate and from a price perspective he fell in between the high and the low bids I already had. Paul's professionalism kinda sold me, he was very focused and has a great personality. I wanted him to win the job and he fell in my budget so it made my decision very easy to choose them A day before the projects start date I met with John Joyce the owner who came to my house with Paul. We went over some last minute details and ideas and he had a lot of offer from a design and practicality perspective.   Day one of renovation went amazingly well, Joe was over seeing the demo, he was great and didn't cause any collateral damage to my house. Demo guys sometimes can. He didn't , Framing was overseen by another Joe. He was meticulous and had great foresight to the project. Engaged me with any concerns and we worked through all unforeseen obstacles my garage presented. The electrition and plumber were top notch. They were specialist to there perspective fields. My last contractor had one guy for everything but not certified in anything. Unlike any other contractor I ever had they showed up every day. Everyday there was progress being made to my renovation. Most importantly to me was that Paul and John both stopped by my job site every day and sometimes 3 times in a day. But on average probably twice a day to oversee the progress and make enhancements/adjustments as necessary as the project developed, at no extra charge in some cases, they definitely wanted to do what was best for me and not beat me over the head In the process with additional costs. The project called for 3 weeks from start to finish. They completed it ahead of schedule.  All the workers were trustworthy and personable I felt 100% comfortable to leave my young kids home alone for a short time while the guys were working.  At no point did I have have to act as my own project manager as I had to in the past with other contractors. At no point I had to chase them around just to get confirmations on simple things like "are you coming today? " like I had to in the past Paul picked up the phone I would have to say within three rings 99% of the time. Even on Sundays.  To give an idea of who I used in the past  Allure to do my upstairs in 2018.  They had missed a lot of days and a the PM Chris would never return my calls and once the job started he Just went MIA.  I give them 4 out of 10 stars and would never recommend them. Refused to use them again. I paid 30% more and for 50% less I'm my opinion  CCP contracting Who did a renovation downstairs in 2019.  Owner would not return unless I had sent a scathing text message begging for a call back, and when he called me back he made me feel like I was bothering him. Started my job in mid April needed it done by my birthday mid May and commited to that time frame, and did not end up not finishing till mid June. After the job was done things that needed to be touched up and they ghosted me pretty much.  ( John J actually fixed some of their issues for me) I can't say enough good about John J Contracting, I will only use them going forward, I recommend them to the highest degree.  Do not start a project without giving them consideration James

The grout was recolored and sealed which was a dramatic improvement! The checkerboard effect was eliminated and the tile looked refreshed. Considering that the tile was 20 years old and in a room that has taken a lot of abuse, the job Tile Dynamics did was excellent. The workers were polite and eager to please. I would recommend their services without hesitation.
