Absolute worst experience ever. Everything from extremely poor customer service, to having my car for 3 days when I was told a day and a half, I came by to get something out of it and it was parked on a side street with a window down when he was supposed to be looking at it. Precision Motorsports - Harvey Harvey is an extremely trustworthy, dedicated, and personable mechanic. He possesses the skills, knowledge, and capabilities to service any type of automobile. His sincerity is a very rare find...When I moved across the country several months ago, I had much trepidation about finding a new auto mechanic, but my fears were soon put to rest. I was previously fortunate enough to have had a family member (who was a professional master mechanic) take care of all my automotive needs. Much to my relief, I felt just as comfortable with Harvey as I had felt with my auto mechanic cousin. I have to say that Harvey is more than fair, and understands the good old fashioned business philosophy of taking care of clients and building good relationships with them. He provides thorough explanations and articulates clearly on why or why not a repair is needed. When he performed 4 hours of labor on my car, he only billed me for 2 hours because my particular car model is well known for being difficult in accessing the parts he needed to repair (and it didn't help matters that the bolts were rusted out from the east coast weather). There are plenty of auto mechanics around, but there's only one Harvey. read more

These guys are great...my boss uses them, and so I started taking my cars there. Since they have so many of their own hotrodded cars, I know that Harvey & Co. have enthusiasm for their craft. Harvey was awesome. I was really stressed out on Friday night, because my car oil pressure light went on while I was on my way to the airport. I parked my car in a plaza's parking lot, because a big cloud of white smoke came out. I looked on my phone for nearby car places, and called Precision Motorsports. Harvey answered - they weren't open. But instead of hanging up on me, he gave me advice and helped talk me through different options because there were no car repair shops open and repair places are usually closed on weekends too. It was an incredibly nice thing for him to give me advice - a good samaritan, giving me advice without expecting me to bring my car to his shop. I was really stressed because my flight was going to take off in a couple hours, and that kindness helped bring my stress down. Long story short: I was able to get a tow truck through AAA, make my flight, and get back to town after the weekend with Harvey already having figured out my car issue and with my car quickly ready. read more

We found Harvey at Precision by a referral from a friend in the auto business and could not be more thankful! I always feel unsure about where to take my car for repairs, but as soon as I met Harvey, I knew I could trust him. My car is 8 yrs old and he was upfront about what needed to get done now and what could wait. Which I appreciated, he didn't give me a laundry list of issues, he only fixed the problem that I was there for. I dropped off my car in the morning and it was done at the time he said it would be and stayed true to the estimate he gave me. Harvey also took care of my need in timely fashion. I live in Michigan and was going to fly out to Burbank, buy a car from my sister, and drive it back home, but it didn't have cruise control. I bought a kit and had it delivered to my sister, who took it in to Harvey/Harmick, and he installed it for a reasonable fee. It needs fine tuning, which I can get done at home by a shop that does them all the time, but it works well enough to be a big help on a long road trip. When I needed other things checkedout and fixed, he directed me to the Ford dealer instead of milking me for more money. It turned out the car was still under warranty and the dealer did all the work for no charge to me! I'd trust Harvey to do any automotive job he says he can do. read more

Do not trust this garage! I was referred to this garage after I my car overheated as a result of a Valvoline drain and fill. The folks at Valvoline told me to take my car here and if it were a result of their work they would cover it. I did and it was a BIG MISTAKE. First off, they lied to me. They told me that Valvoline did absolutely nothing wrong. He changed two belts on my car as well as three pulleys. The next day after driving my car just a few miles it over heated!!! I called the shop and they said let it cool down and bring it back that something "probably happened after I picked it up!" NO. I took my car to Pepboys because I did not trust this man or the guy at Valvoline that told me to bring my car there. Pepboys told me exactly what was wrong with my car in 30 minutes. There was air in the system! Valvoline did not bleed the system with air after they filled it. The staff at Pepboys was stunned that this garage did not catch this, plus they told me that the pulleys that were changed on my car should NOT have been changed with such low miles. These guys are crooks, they got me once, but I will NOT be back under any circumstances. The fact that they did not catch something so basic and told me to change three pulleys that should not have been changed, leaves me to believe they are just in to get as much money as they can. OH YEA, they also charged me $195 for labor to change two belts and three pulleys. The guy told me before he did the work that the labor would be $150. I guess they wanted to squeeze an extra $45 out of me before I never came back. BE AWARE!!! read more

My first experience with precision was with harvey the owner because my ignition wasn't working. He was really busy so he showed me a trick with it, a trick that saved me over 200.00! It then eventually fixed itself after a few times. Instead of being greedy Harvey shows you what is wrong, and gives you a real honest opinion on your options. He will even make u drive around to understand your car better, and the problems its having. Instead of scamming you into anything. My second experience was fixing my brakes, that were overlooked by pepboys and were now in really in bad shape. He gave me an honest quote, and did a really good job. The team at precision is very nice, and gives you feed back as things are being worked on. In fact at precision they will look at your car without charging you! That is unheard of at big auto repair. Steer clear of corporate car repair companies they will just bleed you dry of money, and will lead to more problems in the future. The quick services they offer will result in cheap products, overlooked problems, and poor auto repair. If you are looking for a honest & affordable service look to the guys at precision. I will be referring many of my friends, and will be back for future auto needs. read more

This place is a Godsend. I found out my mechanic closed shop, so at 9:30 am I reluctantly went to a place down the road. I should have paid attention to my instincts. That auto repair shop (not Precision Auto- they're awesome) wanted to rob me blind just for a part, and they said that wasn't counting labor. I already did my research for how much the repairs and parts should cost, so I knew the guy on the phone was balking. I said "Don't do a thing to my car. I'm picking it up". So then I drove to an oil change shop to get a referral for car repairs, and the guy referred me to Harvey at Precision. Thank God! I am so busy, and the very last thing I want to do is drive around town searching for a new honest mechanic. Harvey not only quoted me a direct and honest price, but he explained his business policy of making sure the customer is treated fairly. He went into details about warranty for parts. I have to say, coming from a business background myself, it is extremely important, and finding someone who treats their customers like that is so important. All of the mechanics in the shop were very polite, and I could tell they work well together and work very hard. So I commend this business and Harvey for being so professional and taking care of my car and being honest. read more
