As a result, the flooding continued for several more days, causing unnecessary stress and damage. I had the technician return, but the actual problem was only identified because the demo crew already working in my home pointed it out, not the plumber. Essentially, I paid a diagnostic fee for an issue they failed to correctly identify, even on the second visit. To make matters worse, I was told that the diagnostic fee would be credited toward the repair. However, when I later called to schedule the repair and request that credit, I was met with an unprofessional response.the representative said she would "think about it." This experience was frustrating from start to finish. The misdiagnosis, lack of accountability, and failure to honor what was promised reflect very poorly on this company's professionalism and reliability. I would not recommend their services.

I had a plumbing leak on second floor& things are tore up which i explained thing ls were a mess. Nothing was in his way to perform work. It is not garbage but boxes of things needing moved as upper floor & ceiling is tore up for major leak repairs. We are also downsizing & many boxes are going to goodwill. I explained all this to him. Just because he's a terrible businessman that can't be on time,lied about having parts & did poor repairs is no reason to act vindictive like a 2 year old & try to besmerch me. His attack proves he lacks temperament to provide service to his customers. What I showed him extra was additional work I would need after leak & damage is repaired. It only took a couple minutes & it would have been future work for him had he been any good. I got very little for what I paid. He didn't bring or replace part I called about. He didn't even have a bank account to send money to. What kind of business has no bank account? He did seem desperate for work having to come so far out of his area for work & not having dependable transportation. A simple call back from him could have resolved issues but that was too much to expect due to his character. Maybe he'll learn & mature by his mistakes so he builds a reputable business.

We had an issue with our water tank accumulator (we have a well). Water was puddled on the…read morebasement floor, a really serious concern for if the accumulator had sprung a leak we were looking at a couple of thousand dollars to replace and days without water. I called MacDonald and left a message. He called back within an hour and was at our house, which is some distance from his business, in less than an hour. He found the problem, which fortunately was only a bad pressure sensor that let the tank pressure exceed the 75 psi limit and the water was overflow when relief valve did it's thing. He replaced the bad sensor, fixing the problem. His fee was exceedingly reasonable. We are very pleased with the service for he responded quickly, diagnosed the problem and fixed it with no fuss. Not only that, he is an exceedingly pleasant person to deal with, cheerful, knowledgeable and very willing to explain what, why and alternatives. We have used his services off and on for the last decade or so, as he dealt with various plumbing problems that have arisen. At his suggestion, we modified our several outside faucets so that we didn't have to drain them each fall, our custom to prevent pipe freezing at the faucets for our winters are very cold, and the modification was inexpensive and works like a charm. I have noted that he works very well with my wife, explaining things, listening carefully and working with her to make changes that she needed. Frankly, we trust and value Mr MacDonald. He's the kind of service person that we really do like to work with. He is prompt, the quality of his work is excellent and his charges very reasonable. Harold Craig

My faucet was leaking (needed a new o-ring, which I ordered from Moen) and then I realized the pop-up assembly was cracked. Now, no more leaky bathroom sink drain or faucet! YouTube made it seem fairly straightforward to fix, but it turned out that there was a problem with a pipe as well (someone had installed a pipe for a kitchen sink, not a bathroom sink) and it needed some gaskets too. I wouldn't have known how to handle that. He was efficient, able to pull it apart and get this simple job done right quickly.
