Employee singled me out for no good reason and laughed in my face. Dude was on a power trip. Was first told I couldn't use the vacuum if I wasn't a member while the dude literally stood next to the membership sticker on my windshield. Then after I explained I was a member, he walked off, only to return a minute later to say I couldn't wash my car since it was too dirty. Accusing me of going to burning man when I had simply left the pavement and got some minor dirt on the vehicle. He said I'd have to hose it down elsewhere until I mentioned I'd cancel my membership. Then they were magically able to hose it down before, even though the other staff were confused when I mentioned what I was told. I mentioned I'd never heard of a car wash refusing to wash a vehicle because there was dirt on it. He said it could damage the machinery. It was like a dusting of dirt, so clearly BS. We had a bit of a rough morning. Likely due to too much rolling around and laying down after a mostly liquid breakfast. Regardless, its a sick day for my son and for me I needed urgent car cleaning. The fine folks at Chevron Ducky's Car Wash referred me to Auto Pride in Blackhawk. They offered a full service detailing on the interior with carseat. About 2 hrs job and $375. Basically, every nook and cranny of the car's interior including mats were cleaned spotless. Same with the carseat, though that will take some time to fully dry. Very happy with the results, and Auto Pride also helped clean some bird-poop off the outside of the cat, despite me only paying for interior cleaning. They also have a very nice lobby with books, children's toy, snacks, funny gifts and card, car accessories, and clean restrooms. Coffee from Philz is free, but they don't seem to refill batches too often. Fast and free wifi, so feel free to work remotely here while they service your car.

When I got home and parked, I realized it was even worse: there were still crumbs all over the backseat, and they had left a dirty paper towel inside the passenger-side door compartment. The lady at the front counter seemed unaware of the discount clearly being promoted on their website, acted clueless about it until I showed her the ad online. For auto cleaning services, you first drop off your vehicle and key at the car wash line, where a guy hands you a paper with the service you requested. You then bring that into the small building at the center to pay at the register (it's like a gas station convenience store, but smaller with less products for sale), and you show your receipt showing payment to pick up your vehicle when it's done. The place offers restrooms and a shaded waiting area with ample seating and a few tables. They don't call out your name when your car is ready (cuz they don't ask for names when you drop your car off), they just look at the waiting area and yell out "hey" and/or wave their arms around to indicate a vehicle is done. Problem is, the interior cleaning stalls are on two sides of the facility and only one side is viewable from the waiting area. So after 40 minutes, I walked around the corner to check the status and found my car just sitting there. A guy motioned that it was done and asked for my receipt. Not sure how long ago they had finished. It wasn't exactly the perfect system, but $32 for the Works interior and exterior wash, and they do all the cleaning for me... not bad at all. There was still some dust and grime on the inside and outside (they clearly don't pay attention to detail), but at a discounted price, it was good enough.
