Out of three vehicle, precision tune always kept the oil changed and minor mechanical problems repaired to my satisfaction. The staff is usually friendly and courteous appearing willing to service you. Most recently due to potential theft of a vehicle, the steering wheel was damaged and had to be replaced. Decided to allow precision tune to make repairs. Additional wiring was needed by a direct current electrical auto mechanic. Once the vehicle arrived at the new shop, mechanics found the steering wheel column was not installed, nor was the wires attached nor the steering column attached to move the tie rod ends that turns the left and right wheels. It was just sitting in the hole with a few bolts on it. The wheel spinned freely like a windmill, it was not mounted to anything. $561 must be refunded. Work was not done as it should have been. No stars for no service, I visited Precision Tune on two separate days, I stopped to receive a diagnostic for an issue that I knew was related to me unable to pump gas in my tank, the first time, I waited for over an hour and I left my vehicle at the Mercer University location, the mechanic seemed to be competent and stated that he had to order the part and it would not take long to put the part on my car, so I was willing to wait, but after about another hour, he called and left a voice mail saying the wrong part was ordered and he would have it for me on Monday, so I realize businesses are busy and I waited to go back on that following Thursday and arrived about 8:50 am that morning, I wait and wait and asked several mechanics within the shop was my part on the way and all of them reassured me saying that the part was on its way so around 1pm, I am already frustrated and thinking of all my tasks that I have to complete within my day and I had not prepared myself for a car rental, so this time, the Mechanic that I originally spoke with says that someone ordered the wrong part again. They were supposed to give me an oil change and a new filter last month. A couple of days ago my car ran hot. I had someone look at my radiator. To see if it was leaking. Only to find out i had way to much oil in my car and my filter was never changed. So much oil it filled a container and a oil pan. I called them back and they were rude and had the nerve to say the guy has been working on cars for 20 years.. Not sure how this place got bad reviews. These guys here went above and beyond for me. I got a flat in Vienna, GA at 8pm spouse tried to change it but the lug nuts were too tight. We had to call AAA they didnt show up until 11:30pm. The lug nut was stripped and so tight they couldnt get it off with ANY of their tools. A mechanic even stopped and tried to break it off with 1 of the tools - it was so tight it embedded and wouldnt even snap off. I had my 3 kids with me AAA has to call another crew member to come pick us up to take us to the "CLOSEST" 24 hour tire shop. it was 50 miles away. "24 hour tire shop" Fast forward an hour later we hit this tire shop. The have 3 tiny buckets full of tools WTF?! We arrived here at 3am at about 5am this guy gave up. Advanced auto parts and Precision Tune Auto Care were across the street. So still on zero hours of sleep we stayed up until they opened with out cranky kids until 8am. My spouse ran over and asked them for a few tools so we could try one more they gave him advice and offered whatever they could within limits. Once again "24 hour tire shop gave up" My spouse ran back over and asked them if they could do it, they told us bring it over. They typically dont do that type of work. I'll tell you what, 4 different people / companies tried to get this lug nut off and they were the only ones who knew EXACTLY what to do and how to do it properly without any damage. They took it off had parts ordered and expedited and got us on our way in 3 hours. We are so grateful for them. We were 6 hours from home and everyone gave up except them and they didn't charge us an arm and a leg either. They know what they are doing! If you want something done right go to these guys. For those complaining about taxes and fees and prices what do you expect when maintenance a vehicle it will NEVER be cheap if you want it done right. SIDE NOTE: For the reviews saying unfriendly and unprofessional. These guys actually got robbed while we were there, no one stepped out of character or stopped doing their jobs due to the chaos that occurred. Everyone continued working kept a smile on their face and even handed out 2 applications with ease like nothing just happened. I WISH they had a shop like this near my house, becuase its hard to come by a GOOD educated honest shop. read more

This location is the worst. They are so unprofessional and there is no consistency in their pricing. I came in to get a price on the replacement of my serpentine belt. I'd already bought a replacement and just needed them to do the work. I was quoted $60 and went in to do the work the following day and the price went up to $109. They have all of these hidden taxes and fees that they tack on at the end of your purchase too. Avoid at all costs. read more

I was very disappointed and frustrated with Precision tune on Mercer University Dr., Macon, GA I when in for an oil change the guy that changed my oil broke my key and messed up my key ignition switch I have never had any problems with my key or ignition switch I noticed it right after I left I went to the gas station immediately after my service and noticed that my key was barely inside of the ignition switch therefore unable to switch my car off I immediately went back to Precision I asked for the manager he never came out so I went inside his office I explained to him the situation he was oh so unprofessional He had no customer service he blatantly told me that he was not going to talk with me so I told him that I was going to call the police and I did the manager never came out all the time the police were there the manager never came out to show any type of concern Now I have to take this to civil court I have tried to contact corporate and they have not yet to contact me I'm so frustrated Not to mention I have to go get a key made I will never give Precious any more of my business But I'm going to make sure that they be held responsible read more

We visited this business for brake repair. A week later we had to take the car back for them to check the brakes due to issues. They checked and said everything was ok. Well we later found out that they put our brakes on backwards endangering lives. We requested a refund and was told by the owner that it was not their policy to refund. This location at 3240 Mercer University Dr.is the most unprofessional store that I have been in my life. On Thursday, 24 2014 I stop at this location for an estimate, they told that for a rear wheel bearing on both side will be $249 include tax, and labor. They never give me anything on a piece of paper it was verbal. I search around for prices and they where the one with the cheapest price so I return next day. I walked in and the lady who they have at the front did not remember me at all when she was the one who I ask for the estimate. I told her that I came yesterday for an estimate and they told me this is going to be the price, so I'm here to fix my car she said ok. Everything went well until they told me that my car was ready. Fist she offer to me a credit card, and I said no thank you, she insist and said you can save 10% today even if you don't get approved, and I said No Thank you again. After all that she told that my total was $360.00 for that service and a oil change and I said Ok... why is that much because the guy told me $249.00 for wheel Bearing and $20.00 for an Oil change so I was expecting around $270- $280 with taxes... well she when to the back to get this guy name Robert. He came to the front and said I just talk to the guy who give this price and he told the that price was for each side and I said no he told me for both side. He call that guy on the phone and let me talk to hem and the guy said I told that yesterday and it was for each side and I said again no you told me for both side and I said this is ridiculous you told a price and now you are changing you need to give estimates on a piece of paper next time, and I also told him I came back here because you where the cheapest one.I got mad so I give the phone back to Robert and he told me I'm sure he give that price yesterday, but today is another price, and I said really?? just for one day change the prices??? I told hem I even call to the other store on Gray Hwy and they told me that they will do it for $170 each side for the two of them they will give me a better deal, and he said ok we give that price here too. $170 each side. i got so mad that I said you know what is Ok. This lady at the front desk add everything up and said is going to $390.00 and said five to ten minutes ago you told me was $360.00 I prefer the first price and she didn't not remember the price that she give me before, Robert who was next to her said how will said $360.00 when It was like $500.00 and I said that was she told me and that why I told her that price is not correct I should not said anything the first time and it was a better price... I give my credit card so mad and frustrated. She said here are you key and I said that not my key and she is like I don't know where your keys are. The worse costumer service I have seen in my life.
