My "check engine soon" light was on so I went here to get it fixed. They said they weren't sure why the light was on. They said the compression was a little low evenly on all the cylinders. They suggested maybe my car was just getting tired and to try running it on the freeway to clean out the engine. They charged me over $200 and I drove away with the "check engine soon" light still on. The following week I went to Meineke for an oil change. While I was there, I asked if they could find out why the "check engine soon" light was on. They did and said the #4 cylinder was misfiring. The ignition wire on cylinder #4 wasn't clipping on the spark plug, so they fixed it. They only charged me for the oil change, and I drove away with the "check engine soon" light off and my car running a lot better! read more

To be fair, the desk clerks are professional. However, they need to hold their technicians accountable for their mistakes. I took my 2010 Ford Fusion in for oil changes on three times here. On two accounts they have overtightened and stripped out the oil plug bolt, thus now requiring a new oil pan be installed. I have extensive auto history and have NEVER in my life stripped out an oil plug bolt or spark plug bolt. I have done 15 oil changes on this vehicle in my ownership. Never had an issue with it. To be courteous to the company I called out the desk clerks out to the bay to avoid conversation with waiting clients and demonstrated my history of service on my App. Both desk clerks have put the blame back onto me rather than accepting that their tech is causing hasty damage to peoples vehicles. Integrity in industry is all I am asking and that the damage caused by their tech be repaired. read more

I've had my car for a little over a year and had always came here to get an oil change or any other things that needed to be done to my car. Generally I don't have an issue with this location because Larry is always great when I come in but I now have to update my review because this is the Second time that this has happened to me that I brought my car to them the last two times to get an oil changed and they can't seem to put my car back together properly, now I'm really considering on going somewhere else to get my oil changed, rather than coming back here because this is really getting annoying. Do not take your car here. We had them look at the car and do a whole "top" bottom inspection for $100. They had it for an entire day. Quoted us for a $1700 valve replacement. No problem. Well we took it to another shop to get another opinion and thank god we did. within an hour of dropping it off at the other shop we got a call back and it was the blown head gasket. We gave both shops the same information and etc. rotten egg smell, the woshing sounds from the coolant, white smoke out of exhaust, cylinder misfires, etc. So tell me why they had our car all day charged us $100 and misdiagnosed it!!!!! We just got the car back from the other shop today and there's no issues! If we stayed here we would be thousands of dollars in the hole by now. read more

Adrian Lopez, owner and operator of Precision Auto Works knew immediately by looking at my vehicle's flasher that I needed a new one. After finding one at O'Reilly's, across the street, he put the new one in and I now have working blinkers. He was professional and enjoyable to do business with! I took my car in for a brake inspection yesterday. I had an 11 am appointment. When I got there, I was told by Larry that I would have to leave it and come back later. I had no ride home since I expected the wait to be short. I reminded him the appt. was for an inspection only so he went out to the shop and arranged to get it in. I thought that was what a appt. was for. Okay, they get done with the inspection and give me an estimate of over $900. I was told one of the brake shoes had came unglued and caused some damage to the drum. In the meantime I had texted a relative with the very high estimate. They called around town there to see if it could be done for less. Les Schwab, which is just a few blocks away said $400. Quite the saving if you're on SS. Precision was told we were going to go elsewhere and we paid for the inspection. Now suddenly they won't give me my keys back. They said the car wasn't fit to drive so I'd either have to get the repairs done there or call a tow truck. After debating this with them for awhile, a tow truck was called. I feel like my car was being held hostage for an overpriced brake job. Long story short... Les Schwab did not do it for $400. They did it for around $200 because it didn't need everything on that $900+ quote. I will never step foot in that shop again. read more

I took my car here a couple of months ago for a check engine light it. Was a code for an O2 sensor. They told me the sensors were good and I had a cracked exhaust manifold, $500 later my light was gone. But after driving about 10 miles it was back same code. Now it's the mass sir flow sensor. $500 later the light is gone, for another 10 miles. I eventually took somewhere else and replaced the O2 sensor and its been fine ever since. I totally will not recommend them for anything more than an oil change. read more

I will NEVER take my car or truck to Precision Tune Marysville again!!! Went there a month ago for an oil change and brake check (The truck was grinding in the front) they told me that my brakes were fine and at 80%. Almost 4 weeks later the grinding has gotten so bad that I had to take it into the dealer... The dealer has to replace the calipers and rotors in both wheels in the front!!!! $900!!! This could've been avoided had Precision tune in Marysville actually checked the brakes as requested!!! On my ride to work yesterday morning, my brakes failed me on the freeway and my car was smoking. I had just taken my car in to Les Schwab three weeks prior to get a flat fixed as well as my brakes checked. They said my brakes were completely fine even though my brake light was on all the time while driving. I'm never taking my car to Les Schwab again. My mom and I took my Camry into Precision Tune Auto Care and I'm so thankful for them. They were very friendly and the prices were great. I got my brakes fixed and they changed my oil (I was way overdue for an oil change) within about two hours. I cannot thank the staff enough for their hard work and kindness. For example I've gotten two oil changes and a filter changed and they were really quick and proficient despite being busy. Drove the car in for an oil change and minor maintenance and had to tow it home. Larry claims the maintenance they did would not render the car inoperable and that the damage has been not due to anything they could have possibly done. Took the car to another mechanic and found out that they did cause damage during what should have been simple maintenance. Now in the process of trying to decide if we want to fight them with the evidence we have or sue them for the damage. They take absolutely no responsibility. Their customer service once they found out that there was a problem was terrible. Called corporate for resolution only to find out that this is a franchise and they cannot intervene. Precision Headquarters refuses to give contact info for franchise owners. I would caution anyone against using this business for any type of repair, simple or otherwise. read more

Horrible horrible place! This is the first time using Precision for an oil change, I usually do Jiffy Lube or similar (much quicker). Anyway, it was convenient so I took my car to them. Now it is time for another oil change and guess what.. my gasket is stripped.. so they can't drain the oil. Upon contacting Precision, they were somewhat friendly on the phone, we were told to bring it in and they would get it off not a problem. So we bring it in, and they could not get it off (though they didn't try for very long) and they were rude. Basically it ended with them saying "well someone else must of messed with it, it is on to tight". Are you kidding me.. it was you!!! They were the last place to do the oil change, I have records proving so. Also I drive a newer are. Anyway they became very unprofessional and defensive (obviously knowing they are in the wrong). In other words, not only did they screw up my car, they were jerks! From there I took my car to another shop that had the appropriate tool, however they showed me that the last person who attempted to get the gasket off had twisted so hard they bent the tank itself. I brought my car in for an oil change and asked them to check for other issues that might need work. I described how my car felt different and like it needed something done, but I wasn't sure what exactly. The man at the counter was extremely rude and acted like I was an idiot for not knowing what was causing the changes in performance. He proceeded to look up the manufacturer's list of absolutely everything that might need work for the age of the make and model and exasperatedly told me the estimate on that would be thousands of dollars. I went to Precision in February to have my brakes done. Everything was fine at first, they did an inspection on my car and told me the brakes needed to be done, as well as several other things. Their estimate for brakes on my car was nearly 1000 dollars. My fiancé and I thought "fine, we'll pay the price because the brakes are bad and we have a baby coming soon." The brakes seemed fine at first, they squeaked a little, but the guys there assured us they would squeak for a little while because they're brand new. A couple days later, I was driving and noticed a smell like new asphalt was being poured. I ignored it because quite a few people had been paving their driveways and because I always noticed it at the same intersection. After a week or so driving my car after getting the brakes done, we were on I5 going north in rush hour. The caliper snapped off while we were in the middle lane and we had to be towed back to Marysville. We got under the car and took thorough pictures and sent them the several mechanics we know. They all determined that Precision forgot a bolt on the passenger front brake. They ended up towing my car to their shop and repaired the damage; they kept apologizing, saying they were sorry and tried to bribe me with free oil change vouchers. Well, today, 8 months after the caliper snapping off and being fixed, I was at an intersection trying to stop and my brakes failed. I ended up in the middle of the intersection while my light was red and nearly got hit by on-coming traffic because the brakes failed. I'll never go here again - I'm livid that I did in the first place. Next time, I'll be waiting for my regular mechanic, or at least someone I know and trust before getting any work done. Do not go to Precision! No matter how much someone talks them up to you, they'll likely screw you over on a poorly done job and you'll be in debt for their mistake. read more

Took them two hours to do the change and then tried making me stupid by saying how expensive premium oil is for the car (ah duh I think i know what my car takes) charged me $120 for an oil change! !! Always have been pleased with their service!! They have been quick, reliable and friendly. They have a restroom readily available (clean too!), coffee and tea available while you wait. The seating area is small, but for waiting only 20 minutes, it works out fine! They also offer a "punch" card. For every four oil changes, you get the fifth oil change FREE! As for myself, since I use 5W20 oil (instead of the regular 5W30), my next oil change will be $25 off. Still a wonderful deal and I am glad I found this place!! read more

Best customer service I have seen in a long time. Friendly staff, great prices, quick and efficient work. (at least for an oil change) There is a nice bathroom, comfy waiting chairs, coffee and tea while you wait as well as a tiny television. I would recommend this place to anybody who needs basic car maintenance. Also, they don't try to sell you a bunch of crap you don't need. I recently took my vehicle in to get its belts changed out. I've owned it for a while and never had any problems with it. I get the belts changed and not even 12 hrs later the car won't start. I try it the next day and it starts but stalls twice on the way back to the shops location closer to me. I get in and they tell me it's a bad sensor that needs to be replaced. My real question is this: the sensor worked fine prior to it being serviced, somehow now after its worked on, the sensor went bad? Sounds like it was damaged. How would the sensor work everyday no problems and then immediately after I get it back, it's broken? It is in an area near the belts. I look up recalls or vehicles affected by this problem and my car is not one of them. The particular sensor that they mention has no reported problems for my particular model and year. So unless I have the 1 faulty sensor out of 8000 vehicles (they tried to show me my car was affected on a web page that has innaccurate and incorrect info, as quoted by Infiniti North America; none of the vehicles listed were my car, maybe other models with same motor but not my car), then there are serious questions as to why my car doesn't work after being serviced here. If I had not even done the service my car would still be running. They also charge dealerships prices on parts (20% is added for their warranty?). Make up your own mind but it's not coincidence my car stop working after it was brought here. read more

Went in to get my oil changed. Was told that my battery was down to 28% & I need a new one for $145. I said no thank you because I'm trading my car in within the next few weeks for a new car & I didn't want to spend the money on it as I have been having 0 problems with anything battery related. He said he was surprised that I hadn't had any problems starting, etc. So he told the mechanic to finish up & I paid & left. Strangely enough, 2 days later my car battery is dead when I try to start in the morning to go to work. Shocking. I have my significant other, who just happened to have been a service manager in the car industry for 30 years, look at it. The connections were loose. Even more shocking. So it appears to me that that was done on purpose. Absolutely ridiculous. I come in as what appears to them, as a single woman & they attempt to take advantage of me to up sell. This place is HORRIBLE. I'm getting a lawyer and reporting them to the BBB. I took my Honda in there for the timing CHAIN slipping. I brought my car in there running; DROVE it there. They pushed it out. When they informed me that it would require $3,200 worth of work to to fix it (after paying $105 just to have them look at it) and receiving two other quotes for $1800, I told them that I would be in in a couple hours to take the car and get a second opinion. When I arrived they informed me that I shouldn't drive it because the timing BELT (these cars have timing chains, not belts) could break and cause me to have to get an entire engine rebuild. I went next door and gave them the keys so they could look at at, for free, by the way. Oddly enough, the car wouldn't start. Turns out the guys at lovely Precision Tune Auto Care trashed all four valves, most likely from cranking on the engine. So today I brought my friend in with me who has been a Honda mechanic for over 20 years. I really enjoyed hearing them say things such as "Well, I understand you feel you have some mechanical knowledge, sir, but you have to understand..." and this is AFTER he told him he was a Honda mechanic. The kid mechanic then proceeded to tell us that he had been a mechanic for 20 years (what, so you were born with a wrench in your hand??). The front desk lady, whom, I understand is also the owner, was very condescending and rude to my mother. One of the management whom I was speaking with kept saying "well, while the situation is unfortunate, it's not our fault" and the mechanic just kept saying "the car was broke" every time we asked why he had to push it out of the shop. They TRIED to tell us that the valve issues were cause by the guy next door. When I informed them of this he went over there himself and let them know exactly how he felt. I have read other reviews of people catching them loosening bolts on the cars and other things to cause issues. Do yourself a favor. Go next door. They will treat you like friends and family. They are extremely honest, good, wonderful people and will give you prices only your best friend could beat. Precision Tune Auto Care is disgusting and shady. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS! read more

Take my vehicle in for an air conditioning recharge. Quoted around $250. Called later to be told that a fan wasn't working. Another $250. I say go ahead and fix it. Called again and told that there's either a clog or a bad switch and that I should have them both fixed to be sure. Another $500. They keep my vehicle overnight. They call me back in the morning to tell me that the clog they fixed wasn't the only clog, and that the next repair would be over $1,000 more. They tell me it's my fault because I didn't ask for a diagnostic. All this happened after I had already spent $500 on a new air conditioning compressor elsewhere. It would have been nice to have them tell me everything that was wrong with it right up front, but its my fault because i didn't ask for a diagnostic. So they just fixed things as they found them, increasing the bill. Now I'm out $1,500 and I still don't have working air conditioner. Save your money and go to a shop that has a a real a/c mechanic and not some oil change guys that took a weekend class in air conditioning. read more

Manager there is beyond rude. Laughs in your face when giving you less than favorable news regarding waits, services, and prices. Than proceeds to belittle you and involve staff in the mockery. Whoever gave the big guy behind the desk that position needs to know how he treats customers. I should say potential customers, since this guy runs them right out the door when they ask simple questions about services they offer. If you need anything done and do not want to be treated like trash, go elsewhere. This guy made my blood boil and i even kept my cool while he continued to laugh in my face as he talked down to me in front of staff and other customers. I respectfully said "thank you" and walked back to my car. If i can remain calm and not turn to disrespectful insults, than this individual should be able to hold up his customer service responsibilities.
