So, we got a call from Ronnie in Customer Service a real smooth talker who will tell you what you want to hear then go back on every word he said, the latest and greatest is yes, we at Precision did sell you parts we should not have sold you unless we told you you needed a new motor but we will now sell you a motor for 11000.00 less the amount you have already spent with us. What a group of crooks had they informed us when we brought the car in that it needed a Motor we would have never spent the money on the parts, but slick talking Ronnie and his group of criminals don't disclose all repairs up front so they can keep having you bring the car back and keep giving them more money. They admitted they screwed up, but will not refund my daughter and her special needs children the money they stole from them yes I said it stole from them, she would never have paid them 6,000.00 to repair a car that needed a motor without being told it needed a Motor she lives paycheck to paycheck and this has damaged her family severely as they are out 6,000.00 and have no vehicle. We will be suing them in small claims court please send us any information you may have if you too were robbed by this awful unethical company that we will never use again and tell everyone we know not to use them and post on every available site hope you choke on the money you stole. read more

I wish I could have kind words but I was not satisfied with the timing and employees. In specific the women at the front. I was told I would be charged $30 for an oil change (which I was) if I brought my own oil and filter, estimated time at the time was 15min to get the job done and it took 1 hour while they took my car right away and a guy was inspecting it for awhile when I only came for an oil change. Upon waiting outside because I received a work call I did not want to disturb people inside..The women approached me rudely and out of nowhere interrupting my meeting call to say "per insurance policy" I could not be standing outside as there was another person next to me near a bench at the front door talking on the phone too and she said nothing to him. Why have a bench if we aren't allowed to be out near it? Below I will show where I stood. Front desk gentleman was very nice, however, I was told my car would be done in 30mins to an hour, and it took almost 2 hours. I purchased the promo deal on the website for a full synthetic oil change, 21 point inspection, and tire rotation. I number my tires so I know when/if they get rotated properly, and to my surprise they were not rotated. I didn't bother going back inside after I checked because they had already pulled another car in the bay that mine came out of. I will definitely not come back and I recommend no one else come by here unless they want to pay for services that aren't done. I can't be confident my oil was changed and that the inspection was honest. Why would my tires not be rotated if they had to take the wheels off anyways to inspect the brakes? And if they didn't take them off, I can't be confident they aren't cutting corners. Avoid this place. In my experience, the cleaner the lobby, the more they rip you off. read more

I called ahead of time to ensure the timeframe that it would take for an oil change. I came in on my day off at 8 AM in the morning and they stated when I handed my keys that it would take about one hour and a half to two hours and it was my option to wait. It was 11:30 am when I asked one more time about my car and wasn't even serviced. At that point I had to leave because I had committed to see my niece at a volleyball game. A waste of my time and day and no recovery on their part, Other than an apology. They should have offered a free oil change as a resolution. I wasted my whole morning. read more

I brought my vehicle here because I haven't found a local mechanic yet. The biggest drawback has been the waiting. I've brought my vehicle here twice. The first time was for an oil change and tire rotation. I came at 7 am, when they opened and decided not take the shuttle service. Thankfully there was WiFi at the waiting room. I was able to work on emails. However it took over 4 hours. The more frustrating part has been the oil dye service that I got done. I was told to bring my car back and that it would be only 5 mins to check for oil leaks. However I stayed in the waiting room for over an hour. I need an oil change in my other vehicle. These guys are an absolute class act! We accidentally gave them an out-of-date registration with the wrong county listed, so the state inspection they performed was missing an item required by our new county. They realized the mistake when we came to pick the car up (our mistake, not theirs!). Where they easily could have asked us to come back another day and charged an extra fee, they actually knocked half the price off the cost of the inspection AND took the car back to perform the necessary emissions test after-hours so we wouldn't have to come back. The employees here are kind, patient, and accommodating--overall fantastic customer service. We'll be coming back for future maintenance on both of our vehicles. read more

I took my 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid Sedan for a Hybrid System Diagnostic check, Rear Brakes and an A/C(Freon) refill for which they have agreed and confirmed that they have the skills. next day frontdesk replied back saying they cannot diagnose the Hybrid issue as it is something I have to take to a dealership. I agreed to complete the A/C refill at the agreed discounted price and signed the paperwork. What the frontdesk has signed me up never went to the workshop and I have been asked to pay a different price as they don't have what I have signed initially. I also paid for rear Brake pads replacement. However they went ahead and charged me $85 for the Hybrid diagnostics and ended up paying $650 for the work. Not trustworthy and not a reliable place to get your repairs done. read more

When they said I need breaks I knew I would not do business with them. My son had taken my care to get breaks about two weeks prior. I've been coming here for several months and have been really impressed thus far. The managers have been very professional, the prices have been reasonable, the service has been relatively quick, and the atmosphere while you wait is terrific. In fact, I've chosen to stick around and get work done long after my car has been serviced and out of the bay because it is such a comfortable place. They don't do appointments which can wake in your favor if you are absent minded or an unorganized person :p Their staff have courtesy and are professional. Like every other auto care services out there, these guys do recommend stuff to your old car. However, what sets them apart is that they don't push it down your throats. Say it once and let the customer take a call. Tip: Check their website for coupons. You don't have to print them. Just show them on your phone. Despite the positive reviews I found on this place, I ended up being disappointed with the service. This company tried to perform a duplicate diagnostic and charge me twice. I declined any additional services from them. When I picked up my car I found grease footprints in the driver side floor mat and edge of door frame. I needed two new front end tires, they busted out my tail light and cracked my rear bumper. Then they lied about it.

First impressions are important, and I think Curtis understood that today. After finally getting my car up to par for inspection, I decided to take it in to Precision Tune Auto Care for the first time. This location is very convenient for me, so it was important for me to give it a chance and check it out. The interior of the waiting area is very nice. Clean as well. There's a coffee bar, a soda vending machine, a candy dispenser, a PS3 for the kids to play while the adults watch the game on the other big TV. Curtis greeted us and took our information down in a fast and speedy manner. But I wonder if all this speed may have tripped up the overall process of business today. Read on to find out what I mean by that. He told us that our car would be in and out the door in less than an hour. My wife and I were pretty impressed to be getting a service estimate time like that at around 2pm on a weekend so when we left in our other car, leaving the car to be inspected behind, we handled our business elsewhere with haste, because we were under the impression that we'd get a phone call about the car at the shop at any moment. We did not. Even after an hour passed, there was no call. We eventually get back to the shop and to my dismay, I notice my car is still in the same spot I left it. Sure, they could have serviced it and parked it right back, but that isn't the case. We entered the waiting area and stood at the counter. Curtis came in and asked us our last name and we answered. He began searching for our paperwork. Exited into the garage, came back to the waiting area, went back to the garage and back to us. He mentioned to us that he could not find our paperwork, or our car key. We asked, "Has the car been inspected?" to which he replied, "I don't know unless I find the paperwork." So we wait more. Eventually, he finds the paperwork. But no key. So they lost my car key. He and a few other employees are searching for it to no avail while we sit and wait. Eventually my wife gets the idea to give them our one spare key so they can just get it done. They accepted the key, pulled my car in immediately and the inspection itself was finished within 10 minutes alone. Did they ever find my car key? No. If I did not have a spare, my car would have been stranded. If I didn't have another car, I would have been stranded. Luckily, my car finally passed inspection. Curtis accepted responsibility for the issues caused that day and apologized kindly. He did indeed offer to compensate us for the lost key by offering us to come by with a receipt in hand for a duplicate and he would pay it. This is a good shop from what I can tell. But it wasn't a perfect first impression. I can't truly mark them down them because they did everything they could and should when an accident like this happens. read more

Love this location. I have been through 4 Managers at this location and the current team is by far the best. Tom (the owner) and Brandon make an incredible duo. They are not only personable, but are always working to get customers the best deals. They have never once tried to up sell myself or my family. The technicians are also just as pleasant. The free shuttle service is a blessing. They will take you home and pick you up. Even took me up the street so I could grab lunch while waiting. The driver has also been around for years and is wonderful. The prices are excellent, they even price match on tires and possibly other things. 5 stars because I don't even trust my dealership as much as I trust these guys. Lol! read more

Untrustworthy, predatory, & very poor customer service! Held my car hostage claiming a leaking rack & pinion needed replacement ($1400) to pass inspection." Car shops have bad reputation on trust so why call a car shop untrustworthy? Because this shop is among the worst & because of severe lack of customer service. I was told there was a leak under the boot that covers the rack & pinion (power steering). The two mild drops hanging on the boot did not look wet. There was no trace of leaked fluid on my driveway or garage, so the leak had just started or was very minimal. The manager stated that the car failed inspection and then quoted me $1400 to fix it. I said I'd get back to him, shopped around for the part and found out I can buy it at AutoParts bringing the total cost down to around $850. But then I started doubting the whole leak claim and brought the car to the Lexus dealer. The mechanic who did the inspection on my car happened to be the guy who actually teaches the NC inspection class. He passed the inspection (shocker!!) but with a note to pay attention to a mild leak from the rack & pinion. "It may need replacement soon." I called Precision Tune to get a response. The manager stated, "the law is very clear, if there is a leak, it fails." So I looked up the law. In short, nowhere does the law mention the word leak about the steering mechanism. It says ... a) the steering mechanism is part of inspection b) it's a violation to issue a pass without actually inspecting it, and c) the steering mechanism [...] shall be maintained in good working order, sufficient to enable the operator to control the vehicle's movements and to maneuver it safely. The word "sufficient" puts a lot of grey matter into this subject. And car shops love making it all black and white, or rather all black! I returned to Precision Tune to get a statement. The manager said rudely: "maintained in good working order means no leak." Me: "Why would the guy who teaches the NC inspection class pass it?" Manager: "I need to get pictures of your car and prosecute the Lexus dealer for giving you a pass. If I said a leaking rack and pinion passes in class I would have failed my class." He gave me a business card with the corporate # as if to say, "I don't care, call corporate." I was courteous, did not raise my voice, did not ask for money back, just wanted a response on the claim about the law being firm on leaks. All I got was a loud and childish response like a defiant toddler who has done something wrong and is trying to hide it. So see for yourselves and draw your own conclusions. I called Precision yesterday at 4:00 because my 17 year old daughter's car was making loud squealing noises. I talked to Paul, who told her to bring the car in and they would look at it. She brought it in, and before I could get there they had tightened a belt. She drove the car and there was still some squealing, and she brought it back and they took it in the bay and tightened everything up...no more squealing. Turns out the last place that had worked on her car had put the engine back together badly. Surprisingly, Precision wouldn't take any payment even though they spent quite a bit of time working on her car. Everyone there was very kind and professional. We took our car in for a state inspection. They told us there was a problem with the exhaust system that needed welding. Then they showed us some fluid, which they claimed was a leak in the steering fluid. They claimed that the entire power steering system needed replacing, and quoted us $1,571.20. We don't have that kind of money, and we were a little weary, so we drove it out to Pittsboro to a mechanic we trust. They told us the power steering problem was complete bullshit; there is no problem with the steering at all, and the fluid is full. We can't prove it, but we suspect someone flicked some oil up so they could point to a fluid and claim it was steering fluid. Our mechanic in Pittsboro welded the exhaust system and did the state inspection; the total bill was under $70. Precision's quote had us down for $135 for the welding alone, plus the $24 for the inspection. So even if they hadn't invented a major problem, their "service" still would've been twice as expensive as our other mechanic. Even giving them the benefit of the doubt, that mechanic was completely incompetent at diagnosing the problem. You should be damn sure you know what's wrong before you charge someone $1500 to fix it. It seems much more likely that he was trying to take advantage of us. We had hoped to find a mechanic in Morrisville, now that we live here, but this is clearly not it. Apparently we'll be making the drive back to Pittsboro until we find someone closer we can trust. I suggest that others be very weary of them. Get a second opinion, at least, before you get any work done here. read more

Brought a car in for an oil change, and they told me I needed a number of things fixed--issues that had been taken care of just months ago during my 60K mile service. They get a second star because the oil change was cheap (look online for a coupon) and they offer a convenient shuttle service. But be very, very wary of the up-sell. read more

Took my car here for an oil change and inspection about two weeks ago. All was fine during that visit, they even had me come out into the bay and look under my car to show me some items that would need fixing in the future. Fast forward a few days and my tire light comes on. I check my tire pressure and all the tires are fine, but the light is still on. I call them and tell them what is going on. They say "okay, bring it in and we'll check it out." I bring it in, go up to the desk, tell the guy that I had called a bit ago and want them to check out my tires. He acts completely clueless and starts yawning. He tells me to go pull my car into the bay, but all the bays are full. I pull my car up and sit there for a few minutes, waiting for him to tell me where to go. He completely ignores me and goes back inside. I get out of my car and go back in to ask him where I'm supposed to go. He tells me to go back out and "pull my car up to the bay, not in it." So I go do that. Some other guy comes out and checks the tire pressure. He completely blows me off when I tell him that I've checked the tire pressure and that he needs to figure out why the light is on. He says "you just need to drive around a bit and the light will go off." I've been driving this car for ten years and know that's complete bullshit. I just say screw it and leave. Took my car over to Just Tires and they fixed it in 15 minutes. Never again! read more

Had to have something fixed on my VW as an engine censor light was on fixed it light came back on defective part replaced it free no labor diagnostic charge.
