I had an 11:00 appointment for an oil change, tire rotation, and to check a tire that was losing air. I was told it would take about 35-45 minutes. After getting the car back, I noticed the rear passenger tire was still low and in the exact same position. I went back inside, and they found a small nail and repaired it. They then brought the car back to me a second time, and when I asked the mechanic where that rear passenger tire had been moved during the rotation, it turned out the tires still had not been rotated, even though the receipt already listed the tire rotation as completed. They had to take the car back a third time to actually perform the rotation. I arrived at 11:00 for a scheduled appointment and it is now 1:45. A 35-45 minute service turned into nearly 3 hours, and more concerning than the wait was having work marked as completed when it had not actually been done. I had to personally catch the issue twice before it was corrected. Very disappointing experience and poor quality control. read more

This is my second time at Mr. Tire and the service all around was a 10/10 the first time the gentleman (Alex i believe) helped me not brake my bank and was honest about what i actually needed and not just try and get $$ out of me. the second time was just as amazing! Update: Needed oil change and this place was closest to my work. I was reluctant because last time I had an APPT here, no one showed up to open the store, hence my 1 star prior review. I made an online appt for 12:30. I got there about 10 minutes early. They took my car in right away. I told the guy at the front I had 45 minutes max or I'll need to leave and reschedule. He said should be no problem. After about 30 minutes I was getting nervous because I had to be back at work by 1:10. So I started watching my tech. Slow as molasses. Guy disappeared a few times in the back room for minutes at a time, AFTER her poured the oil in the car. Walked across the ENTIRE shop to throw away my old oil sticker. Spent 10 minutes at a computer inputting information. Just so damn slow. Driving me nuts. Should not have taken nearly an hour to change my oil with a guy on the job immediately at drop off. I was 15 minutes late back to work. I was pacing in front of the desk guy but he couldn't be bothered to help move this job along. All that for the minimum cost of $91. No conventional option I was told. This was the cheapest option. There will not be a 3rd time going here. read more

I'd definitely recommend this place if you want quick friendly efficient and reasonably priced service. From the initial phone call when I talked to Chris, to getting cashed out with Curtis this was a professional and friendly experience. I brought my car in with a big bolt in one of the tires at 9am, asked if it's possible to get it done by noon and they had it ready by 11am. BONUS they had a shuttle service and after I dropped my car off just took me right back home making it so easy and convenient especially since they are in my neighborhood. Next time I've got a flat, I'll definitely be returning. Everyone I interacted with was really nice, they didn't have a AAA discount but still offered me $5 off which brought my patch to $35. Perfectly reasonable I would say and we'll worth how easy the whole experience was! Also, neighbors, they revise free air on the side of the building which I thought was really nice. Been going to Mr. Tire in Raleigh for over 6 years, so when I moved to Morrisville it seemed like a natural choice. I have been going to this specific Tire in Morrisville for over 2 years and it was mostly positive. But unfortunately it takes a bad apple to spoil the bunch. Last year I had my brakes checked and changed and only 8 months later and 8,000 miles I started to have problems again with my brakes. I generally follow the mechanics advice and get regular oil changes on time along with repairs they suggest, but this time they came back with a $1800 estimate for something that they not only fixed, but now informed me they couldn't predict as they blamed my caliper "going bad." This price was twice the amount that another company quoted me. I now am going to move my business elsewhere, but if this company wants to listen. They should look into why this franchise gets bad reviews and what the customer is stating, as their is a reason for it. Due to this experience I will now have to move onto another competitor. I recommend to do what the Mechanic that I spoke to told me to do, and that is. "Get a second opinion. It won't hurt their feelings." read more

I took my car in for inspection the Morrisville location. The guy at the front desk was rude as well as the guy that did the inspection. Never have I ever taken my vehicle in and be faced with such rudeness. The guy at the front desk did not ask me if I wanted to pay with debit, cash or credit when I swiped my credit card he said you didn't tell me you were paying with a card I told him sir you didn't ask me. He proceeded to say well you should have said your paying with a card. Now the guy that did the inspection was so rude I almost told him to discontinue the inspection so that I could leave. I asked him how long it might take and he said WHAT I repeated myself and he said it could take up to an hour we do real inspections around here I thought he was just joking but the look on his face told me he was not joking. Now why he said that I don't know. I drive a new Mercedes and always keep it serviced. Never will I ever visit this place and spend my money to be faced with rude people. Zero stars. Poor customer service. We were asked to drop off our car for a flat tire check and repair on Saturday afternoon. We went back on Monday to check, and they said they couldn't repair the flat tire, which is fine. What annoyed us was that our car had a huge dent on the back door and the battery was dead! No assistance with those issues at all ..and we had to go back the next morning to discuss that with the manager. The staff was very unhelpful! The manager was not helpful either. Well, I just moved to this area and decided to get my oil change at Mr. Tire...this should be called MR RUDE. Had the rudest, fat short-bald guy named "TJ".at the counter. He was waiting on two other gentleman when I came in. One of the guys stated that he had alot going on, so he suggested to "TJ" to wait on me. His response was " no she can wait". I then told him what I needed and he rudely said " i have appointments all morning" when I just heard him tell the prior gentleman that it was 2 cars ahead of him. I felt that he was racist and did not want to wait on a black female. Got talked into changing air filters and a wheel alignment. Both things I needed. What I didn't need was my cloth seats to be left with stains all over. Both driver and passenger seats. Leaves on the seats and floor. Also on acceleration I was getting a deep loud noise from the engine. The cover for the air filter wasn't put back correctly and the back was open... I came in today to get one of my tires patched. Unfortunately, they let me know it wasn't my tire, but my rim was bent. So that was causing the leakage. They were so nice explaining the issue and giving me the contact info for Rimguard. They rotated my tires and didn't even charge me for it. I'll be back in the future. Great service all around. I called early and made a reservation for my lunch break. I had a coupon for an oil change and tire rotation. When I arrived, staff was friendly. They had my car done in 45 minutes and made a couple of service suggestions but reassured me they weren't critical. They wanted to charge me $750 for a tune up on a 2001 Tacoma! I did it myself in an hour and the parts cost $150. This place over charges and does not do good work. I had to fix what they screwed up. read more

The service was completed. We found out a week later that the battery we were told had to be replaced to get the truck into the service bay was never replaced. The regional manager was a jerk and could not even bring himself to apologize. 8 months later the switch that was replaced ( with a 1 year warranty from the supplier) would not be warrantied because MR Tire only honors 90 days. Its pretty bad when the service company will not back up what they sold. We went elsewhere and had part replaced again at a lower cost with a written 1 year warranty. We will never use Mr Tire again. These guys are crooks, they did service on my car without giving me a quote for it ahead of time. They changed my Anti-Freeze for $15, charged me a miscellaneous shop supply fee of $26 without telling me about it prior to getting my car serviced. Went in for ordinary state insp. and tire rotate. They found a nail in tire, patched it. it leaked as soon as I got back at work, and i saw the tire monitors were not changed with the rotated wheels, either. drove back and was told they were too busy to make it right that morning and to come back in the afternoon! They did re-learn the monitors, though, for me. Since I work FT, I made an appt the next week to fix the patch; they made me wait 30 min before I just drove off. In short, don't go here; they have no clue on doing complete work or fixing their mistakes to retain a customer. wow. read more

My experience with them Thursday, Friday, Saturday of last week was absolutely awful. As I was celebrating my 40th birthday the same timeframe, I chose to wait until the anger died down to draft this letter. Thursday: Call and ASK around 11 am do you all have time to fit my car in for a diagnostic. Was told yes. Check engine light had come on during my commute and after stopping for breakfast, when I re-started had a VERY rough idle. Finally get called back on Thursday at 545 pm. Cant fit my car in. This is two Ubers by this time. I just started new job last Tuesday. Know NO ONE to even ask a ride from. Im stuck in RTP. I live in GARNER. 45 minutes away. I attempt to drive the car home. Over heat on the way. Friday: Car gets towed to you all prior to you opening. Had tried to find a dealership. They are talking Wed (which would be TODAY) before they can get me in. After numerous phone calls was told its my valve cover; it also caused the overheat issue. $520 to fix it. I don't have $520. But I need my car. Just fix it. Don't get a call back until again, 545 Friday. Car is ready. Have already paid the $22 for an Uber home. Which is again 45 minutes away. Saturday: Come get the car after my birthday luncheon. BF for some reason decides to pop the hood before we leave. My oil dipstick is missing. The car was towed there for an overheat issue. Yet there is NO coolant in the receptacle. I mean ZERO. My battery is dead. I have had my battery die on me previously this past winter. Finally get going but really folks? On way back home Saturday evening after out with friends? Notice first two my presets on my radio had been changed. Again, having had been dead before and jumped? I know for a FACT the presets do NOT RESET. And if they DID all of them would. Not just two. Who was listening to my radio, and why did they change my station to theirs? AVOID. Im $520 mad and add in the Uber costs about $570 mad. read more

The service is always spectacular and the nice added touch of shuttle service to your office in the morning makes the process infinitely more convenient. I came in for a state inspection today. I let the guy at the counter know they had left a lot of grease on my leather car seats last time I was in for service. He assured me they would use a cover for the seat. When my car was ready, I opened the door to discover, once again, a ridiculous about of black grease on my tan leather seat, driver side. Not only was it all over the seat, but on the door, the steering wheel, the paneling and the lower side of the door. When I complained, the guy who worked on my car was asked to remove the grease. He came out, with an attitude, and proceeded to SCRUB my leather seats with CARPET CLEANER. How stupid can you be? When I asked him to use a wipe instead, he brought out ONE wipe. Not only was he an idiot, but her had an attitude, and asked me to just "trust him", yeah.....you're kidding, right????....seriously???!!! I had to try to remove the grease myself and still did not get all of it off the seats and paneling. This place will destroy your car from the inside out, they have no respect for your car. I will never go back there, they do not know what they are doing and have no concept of customer service! read more

This shop doesn't honor their company's "guarantee" to beat any competitor's total price by 5%. In my case, they wasted almost 30 minutes of my time trying to figure out how to not only avoid doing a price match (eventually, they agreed) but wouldn't do the additional 5% discount. I've been here twice and will never go to a Mr. Tire again. I scheduled an appointment for an oil change/tire-rotation-brake inspection (using their coupon) along with a state vehicle inspection. Simple job, right? I Brought the car in 15 minutes early. It took them TWO HOURS to get the job done on a SCHEDULED appointment! And to make matters worse, they didn't do the tire rotation and brake inspection. The service rep at the front desk was horrible. The big guy with tattoos seemed way more interested in smacking down his food rather then providing any sort of customer support. And don't even bother tring to call their customer service line - having called three times and left messages each time, I'm still waiting for a return call. These shops used to operate under the Tire King banner and seemed to be very competent back then. Ever since they transtioned over to Mr. Tire, they have been HORRIBLE. Avoid Mr. Tire like the plague - especially this location. read more

Let me start this review off by saying that I'm amazed this company is still in business, my only thought is that they continue to get customers due to being the only shop within a close proximity of Perimeter Park. I spoke with the "Service Manager" on Wednesday and requested to have my car inspected and the tires rotated, I was told to drop it off first thing Friday morning and they would have me all fixed up in no time. So I drop my car off at 7:45 Friday morning, they tell me that it wouldn't take long and they would give me a call once everything is completed. After not hearing from them by 12, I give them a call and I was told that they hadn't got to it yet and that it was the next car in line (OK, that's slightly frustrating, after all, it's been 4 hours, but it's a Friday, so maybe they're extra busy). So I give them another call at 2:15 (Ok, we're going on 7 hours now for a job that shouldn't take more than 15 minutes, surely they're done), not only are they not done, but once again I'm told that my car was next in line to be worked on. I was pretty frustrated at this point and told them that I would be there in a few minutes to pick the car up and not to work on it, at this point I don't have time to wait any longer. I walk in to pick my keys up and the older man working the front desk apologizes and asks if there was anything they else could do for me, to let them know, is this a joke? You couldn't complete a 15-20 minute task in nearly 7 hours when I had an appointment. I work with a 500+ employee company within a quarter mile of this business, we have an internal site we use to recommended or deter people from local businesses, I will make sure nobody here or anyone around this part of Morrisville ever patronizes your establishment. read more

Got quoted $450+ for changing rear brake pads and rotors. After I objected to the exorbitant price and told them it's not worth more than $350, the salesperson came back and said they could do it for $365. I accepted the offer. However, I happened to see that they were not putting in the premium lifetime warranty brake pads they said but the cheap $25 pads. After I talked to the salesperson and manager about it, they said they had to change the parts to meet the price. However, they didn't inform me about it. So I had them cancel the service. I had an appointment to have an oil change. Showed up on time and was told that "they were real busy, only running two guys in the back" and that several people were already in front of me. He said it would be at least two hours before I could have my oil change completed. When I said I had an appointment he said "yeah, because you have an appointment I'm gonna try to get you in" as if he was doing me a favor.....my appointment was for 3 pm and getting out after 5 would put me in the gridlock of rush hour traffic. No apology, just kept talking and justifying that they were lined up in the back... I helped him out with his time crunch by departing without service and without any rescheduling. Everyone can have a "day" or run behind but his attitude was my departure ticket. I am now going to search Yelp for a great place to schedule all three of our cars for an oil change. Life is too short for this.... My experience at Mr. Tire today was SO UNDERWHELMING in every way......... read more
