Learned a very important lesson coming to this shop. Do not ever tell a mechanic you need a "general checkup". If they are dishonest, they will try to sell you services you don't need. They recommended a new alternator, I watched a few YouTube videos on how to test operation of alternator--alternator was good. They recommended new brake pads--I just had the brake pads changed a couple months prior and had about 8mm thickness. They recommend spark plugs--this was valid as they never had been changed before--watched some YouTube videos and did myself. Recommended air filter--had a brand new one as I change it once per year. Recommended coolant exchange--just performed this about 9 months prior. Recommended power steering fluid exchange--after some research, found out my vehicle has electronic power steering, so there is no fluid! I paid $120 for a very important lesson--learn how to perform the basic maintenance on your own vehicle and go to a mechanic when you actually have a problem. I had far better experience at M&S Automotive. I cannot recommend Precision Tune as I feel it could be a money trap. read more

I've been to this Precision tune many times and they've never disappointed. I took my car to get Freon put in the AC because it was blowing hot. Well... a couple days later it was no longer blowing cold after they had added the Freon. I took it in this morning and they told me that my compressor needed to be replaced and it was leaking. My problem is I spent $250 for them to do some hundred dollar evaluation for what? and charge me 149 for Freon.I'm out $250 because they have no way to check for the leak before adding the Freon and then if it leaks out you're just out of luck. I asked them why that's the way they did things and why not check for the leak beforehand and before adding Freon so it doesn't get wasted and they said because they don't have the equipment to do it the way other places do so what I wanna know is why are they doing it then? Why not tell the customer these things beforehand like hey you might be out $250 if you do have a leak but we have no way to tell you that until you spend the $250 so it's OK to take a customer's $250 and basically watch it fly out the window?I guess so. I was then told it would be $1700 for a new compressor. I will not be back.EVER! read more

I came in to fix one issue, replaced a part a and it didn't fix the issue. But the guy says "the noise is a bit quieter". Came back because it wasn't fixed so they suggested a few more parts, instead I went to get a few more opinions before I went back to them to change more parts. Just for them to tell me my warranty on the part they changed is pretty much void because someone else touched my car. read more

.Never again. $100 tuneup... $1100 bill. A week later I buy the $39 part that fixes the check engine light I originally went in for.

I visited for an oil change and as aways the service and professionalism was superb.

My car runs worse now. It has a clicking noise now that was not present when I took the car in. I spent $685.00 and I had to go in twice. The second time they sent it to the Russell Pkwy location without telling and told me I had to pick it up there. I never leave reviews like this but I had to speak out. Maybe they do good oil changes but they are horrible at solving mechanical issues. I've had to find another mechanic and thankfully he knows what he's doing. I regret wasting money there and hope my warning to you helps you choose a better place. read more

If I could do lower than one star I would. I put my car if to replace the gaskets, because it was leaking oil. Charge was going to be 415.00 dollars. I waited there all day and the mechanic had a problem after he put it all back together. So I was ok with leaving it, granted wish I had know before so I didn't have to stay there for over six hours doing nothing. Well I had to go out of town the next day so my wife picked it up. She called me and told me it drive horribily, I thought she was just exaggerating the problem. So I called the shop and let them know I would bring it back, since my car was running fine before I went in. When I got home to take it to he shop, I was so amazed at how messed up it was. Going to the shop I could not press the gas or it would go slower. I top speed was only 20 miles an hour. I dropped it off there and they told me they were going to get it fixed. The gentleman at the front desk is awesome he understood my fustration and tried to work with me. Shortly after I left he called me and told me that it was one of two things wrong, one being the mass airflow sensor and one other thing. He told me the owner, said that it was the mass air flow sensor I would have to pay for it. Side note.... Whomever owns this busniess that isn't good customer service, your shop brakes something you should cover the cost. So the guy at the front desk allowed me to pay half the price which is 286.00dollars. I get in my car and noticed it shaking, so I went straight to Auto Zone to get a diagnosis, low and behold guess what it was? Yes the mass airflow sensor, who would of thought. So I took it right back down there AGAIN!!!! I guess third time is a charm. So almost 700.00 dollars in and my car runs worse than when I brought it to the mechanic. People are friendly, always trying to upsell and pretend they are real mechanics. Use caution they will and have filled my engine with the wrong viscosity oil! This can void a warranty if your car is newer. Always check your paper work. read more

I brought my car in for changing the VSV part in the EGR system. I already had a new VSV. The mechanic told me that the new VSV I got is a wrong part. He recommended for another VSV. The recommended VSV costs $105 and the labor is $40. I had to wait nearly 3 hours. Later I found out the new VSV is for MAP sensor, not EGR system. It is made in china and its price is $35 in Autozone store near by. The part I bought is indeed the right part for the EGR system. The engine warning light got a new code for MAP failure. It took me about 5 minutes to find and switch the old VSV back myself to clear the warning code. The lesson is I lost nearly $150 to learn that The Shop Does Not Have Car Mechanic. read more

My vehicle will not go here again for any oil changes or anything.Get some people who know what they are doing in this business.The first oil change my car was leaking oil when arriving back home from the guy stripping a screw,when the car was brought back he did a plug and today you overcharge for the shoddy work you did and wont own up to your errors.The owner is a piece of work,you know what you are full of but I am going to pray about you.God does not like ugly. read more

Precision Tune in my town used to be a good place to have your car fixed. I've had my Mother's car fixed there three times and each time received good care and even when my car did not need fixing they would check out the car for free. This week my check engine light came on while I was driving from Atlanta, Ga to my home - 130 miles. I got home and parked the car and got up the next morning and took the car to Precision Tune in Warner Robins. They needed to order parts and I had to pay for two O2 sensors and a transitor - cost was $467 up front. I asked could they just put the car back in working order and I would bring it back the next day. They said it would not start until they fixed it with the new parts. I left the car and was called the next day and was told that one of the O2 sensors was the wrong type, so they reordered the part. Two days later they tell me my 1996 Ford Contour's wiring harness is degraded and they are looking for a wiring harness. They also said Ford doesn't make the wiring harness anymore even though Ford had a recall on wiring harnesses years ago. I got a call today and Precision Tune says they can't fix the car and I must call a tow company to take the car to the local dealership and that I must pay! The car worked when I took it there and now it doesn't work and I have to pay to get it fixed at Ford! And the mechanic had the nerve to laugh and say we already got paid. I called the credit card company and got a credit for the charges and they are investigating. I called my local Ford dealer and they picked up the car and are checking it. I filed a complaint with my local BBS but that can take up to a month to resolve and I also called the national headquarters for Precision Tune and filed a complaint. National headquarters is now investigating my situation. I'm still mad at the arrogance of the Precision Tune mechanic and I'm ready to go stand in front of their business with a sign that says "Precision Tune SUCKS" and don't bring your car here!
