Please understand that this is an extremely honest review and not being posted out of anger or pettiness towards the Daycare. At the end, I will post a photo of my Notice of Resignation as insight into my employment. The Directors name is Tina Norfleet, the Assistant Directors name is Aida, the Curriculum coordinator is Maureen, and the front desk assistant is Christina. My employment time- During my time of employment, roughly 6/7 months, I dealt with much more drama than I experienced in high school. I have heard the front office staff speaking badly about teachers and even parents in the office. I have had to work many days extremely sick and was not able to go home and rest, causing multiple children in my class to become ill. On the days I was allowed to leave, I had to wait until my shift was already almost over, or I was told to go home for two or so hours, then come back and finish the day. They often take their anger from being understaffed out on the teachers, which is extremely unfair. I gave my 100 percent and even more to this Daycare, for them to not appreciate an ounce of it. Why take out your anger on the teachers that do come to work? You should be thanking us. If you are looking for a job that makes you feel appreciated, this is not it. There are much better options for employment. I expressed my concerns multiple times to Tina and Aida, and every time it was tossed to the side and I was told, "If you can't handle this position, maybe this is not the place for you." It is not that I cannot handle this position, as I have been working in Daycares and Preschools for almost four years and I have a behavioral science degree. It is simply the lack of support from the Director and Assistant. When I had brought up my concerns, I was talked to as if I was a 5 year old. Tina is very rude and confrontational. She loves to engage and start drama within the work place, which I simply do not stand for. I have heard previous front office staff, Makenna, say that she "hates" a pregnant employee that had called for a restroom break. This was said in front of Tina, who just laughed at the comment. I have many more unsettling experiences like this. Classrooms- The classrooms have many children with behaviors that need an extra hand. Tina and Aida are not as helpful as they should be with these children. I have been spit on, punched, bit, kicked, slapped, and had chairs thrown at me along with toy blocks and cars to my head. When I call for assistance, I am told to just hold the child's hand or sit them in a chair. This just does not work. Parents are not notified of the behavior and the teacher is told to figure it out. I had a child in my classroom who was biting, hitting, kicking, and throwing chairs and water bottles at other children and myself. The child was suspended MULTIPLE times but was allowed to come back each time. The child was finally dis enrolled when I was punched in the face after trying to redirect them after they had thrown three chairs, hit multiple kids in the head with a metal water bottle, and punched other children unprovoked. I understand this school is very diverse and does not discriminate, but if you plan to run a school like this then you should also be equipped for children who struggle with behaviors. There are also 20+ kids crammed into a small classroom. They had planned to put 30 children in my classroom. After I brought to their attention that this was just not possible, they settled with 26 children. Teachers- Room 4 teacher is Nazah. This teacher has walked out on her position multiple times and has even walked out of a room leaving children alone. She screams at the children all day and is just not happy with her job it seems. She was recently moved to room 4 and awarded teacher of the month for April. Room 5 cannot keep a teacher. I have seen at least 5 teachers in my time of employment go in and out of that classroom. One which left a child outside twice. She was still employed after leaving the child outside and only left the center because she had quit. As far as I know, the parents were not notified. The menu- The menu at Childrens Lighthouse of Allen is bland in my opinion. There is no diversity in food and children are served the same food weekly, sometimes the same meal twice a week. Their menu consists of baked chicken nuggets, grilled cheese, fish sticks, cold turkey and cheese croissants, cheese and spinach quesadillas, Mac and cheese, and spaghetti. The sides consist of carrots, broccoli, watermelon, corn and peas, and banana or oranges. Overall, this Daycare is not a 5 star center, maybe a 3 at most. I feel like there are much better places to enroll your children that will be safer, cleaner, and happier.

I wanted to cross hitting a baseball off my bucket list. The price on the internet was $ 55.00 dollars for a session. I thought that was fair because I wanted to accomplish this even if I'm a senior. Jason was wonderful to me. My only and biggest complaint is the pricing. I was fully prepared to pay the $ 55 for the half hour when I booked the online appointment. When I arrived today, I was told it was $60.00. Not a big difference but you should have honored the price on the web site. I told the young man about the pricing difference but my complaints fell on deaf ears. I feel this is wrong and cheated. I would give Jason a 5 star rating but your customer service one star. I am giving it a four star instead of a five star rating for the following reasons: (1) Yelp won't let me give it a fractional rating of 4.8 or 4.5, which is what I think it should be rated as of the date of this review; (2) it is located just about a mile from Bob Woodruff Park which I rated a 5.0 and is a bigger and better park; and (3) some of the playground equipment could stand to be reconditioned or up-dated. When you spend as much time walking fur babies it is important to know your local neighborhoods and that includes the local parks. This park is a jewel for local residents and visitors. It has soccer fields, two playground areas in the main area of the park and more available on the Willowcreek trail, a rental pavilion (see more on that below), numerous uncovered picnic tables scattered around the park, two bridges, a creek and lots of trees, some wildlife, lots of benches and restrooms. My favorite part of this park is that it is part of the well constructed and maintained Willowcreek trail system. Which means that fur babies (i.e. dogs) have lots of room to sniff, explore, run, play and enjoy themselves. There is no shortage of grass or cement for dog walking and pet recreational time at this park. The pavilion holds a maximum of 50 people. The resident rental rate if $50. The non-resident rental rate is $100. Plano Parks & Recreation requires a $75 deposit. Other fees may apply. Check it out. You will be glad that you did. Are you a Plano 75074 proud pet owner? If so, you owe it to yourself and your fur baby to spend some time here. Too busy to take your fur baby walking? Then make sure your dog walker knows about this park.

Despite multiple passengers stating there was plenty of room. Even though I myself standing there with my child could see there was plenty of room. After standing in line and even allowing another child to board ahead of us, we were ignored and when asked if we could pay to ride she simply stated "it's full". Now I could make assumptions about why she denied us access to the train but I'll leave those to myself and speak only of the facts. She was very rude and didn't exhibit behavior becoming of someone who interacts with small children on a daily basis. Although I could've waited around and boarded the train on the next go around I simply refuse to spend my money with someone so awful. He had a great time on the merry go round though.
