They called several times to confirm my rental pickup and even made sure I understood the rental process prior to arriving. The two individuals that helped me were very kind, and made sure I felt comfortable with the rental agreement. Overall, my cars were clean and had all of the bells and whistles I needed while on my respective trips. I also loved that during the rental period, I received text messages with service numbers in case I bumped into any issues. Glad this location is close to me, as I plan to use Enterprise more often.

When I ordered the car online, I first saw a price that looked very reasonable. I was about to click the button but I saw a message suggesting I sign up for membership to get an even better price. So I went to do that, and when I came back to order a car the price had doubled. I was afraid it would keep going up, so I just went ahead with it. Then the next day I was still bugged by this so I called customer service. The guy told me I should be able to get the original price, but he couldn't do it -- I'd have to bring it up when I returned the car after my rental. He promised me that he made a note about it and gave me a case #. 2. Went to pick up the car. The "intermediate" class car I'd reserved was no available. The woman at the counter offered me a mini-van. I did not want that because a) I wanted a trunk b) fuel cost c) Don't want to navigate around with a mini-van. Only when I suggested I could wait did she investigate and say a car would be available in half an hour. It ended up being an hour, but I was given a compact. This is smaller than the Intermediate I'd reserved, but she refused to lower my rate and insisted I had ordered "economy." I have the email to prove she's wrong. 3. The trunk button on the remote did not work, but I could open trunk from inside the car. Not that big of a deal, but, just another detail. 4. I had reserved/pre-paid the car for 3 days and indicated a time I expected to return it. On that day, I realized I'd need to keep it a few more hours. The rental price is per day, not per hour. But I called just to be helpful to let them know I'd be a little late in case that impacted another customer. I was told by Avis Customer Service that I'd have to pay for an additional day. I had little choice, so I accepted this. 5. When I returned the car, this woman was very nice and professional, but told me she could not handle issue #1. That I should call customer service. But she said my problem happened to customers all the time and I should get a reduction in price. ALSO: she told me #4 was a lie and indeed I was not getting charged extra. So, good news, but the call-center customer service sucks. 6. When I finally got home I called customer service about Issue #1. I was told that there was no note promising a price reduction, so he could not help me. He told me he could escalate it, and a supervisor would reach out to me within a few days. Nobody reached out to me. In short: The car was fine, but you can't trust their customer service. Never use Avis.

They rented out to me a car with fuel tank on empty, as in the fuel light came on within 20 minutes of driving. First time I've ever rented a car anywhere and not given a full tank. I will note that their paperwork did reflect car was empty upon rental. In addition, car was clearly not cleaned prior to renting it out as evidenced by a half full chik-fil-a drink marinating in the center console in the southern summer sun prior to my discovery. Not deal breakers. Service was fine. Just don't expect too much.
