I purchased a groupon and may have had too high of hopes for a $79 car detail. I suppose for what its worth - it was a really nice hand car wash, wax, vacuum, dash wipe down, floor mat shampoo and leather seat cleaning. But the finishing touches are where you lost me. Still crumbs in the crevices and uneven gloss or whatever they slather to make the dash and leather seats look nice. I have an older SUV and a detail was way over due. My car does look nicer but this service was not my definition of a car detail. To add, I found a rip in my front seat that I do not remember having. The owner has not returned my call. As far as the shop, it's not a nice place to wait. Dirty couches and a filthy rest room. Plan to drop your car off and walk downtown. read more

I bought Groupon. Brought my car today for cleaning. After 3 hours the car is dirty with the difference that it is smell like chemicals. The inside of the car is stained as before. Gifted this to my boyfriend for our anniversary & while at the shop, Premier Detail damaged the exterior of his car: they hit the left front bumper - left HUGE scrapes, which removed a lot of paint, broke the front light & then rudely denied it. The shop apparently had pushed out the dent, polished the huge scrapes & claimed it was there beforehand. My boyfriend has pictures of the car beforehand with NO damage. Let alone, Premier Detail did a terrible job on the inside - leaving white cream residue EVERYWHERE & a huge scratch on the back seat. My boyfriend's car is in WORSE condition after their detail than before. How can they be okay with this?!?! It's NO way to run a business!!! My boyfriend called his insurance company who inspected the car & they are the ones who informed him the bumper had been hit/indented & the shop pushed it out - they can tell by the crease line & other indicators. My boyfriend now has the hassle of going through his insurance, paying a deductible to get his car repaired at an auto body shop - repaired back to it's condition BEFORE taking it to Premier Detail. My boyfriend took a bunch of pictures which I can forward, including one which shows that he found an open bottle of beer on the ground right next to his car at this shop when he went to pick up the car. Groupon should not have this place listed - they are THE WORST! I didn't gift this Groupon to him as an anniversary present for his car to be damaged & for this to cost him a lot in repairs! I first heard of Premier from a friend. When my Ford F-150 needed work I dropped by Premier and received help from Uriel. The price and time frame he quoted me was better than others I had received. I dropped off the truck and he dealer with all the details of my insurance and forms. I just had to return two weeks later to find my truck looking better than it did when I for got it. A few months later when our Mercedes was damaged I again returned to Premier auto for the same great service. The staff at Premier Auto Collision is really first class. When a customer walks in or calls, the first point of contact sets the experience. When your receptionist/counter person is rude and unhelpful, it makes me so angry that I wasted any time with your establishment. Maybe if you had better service, you'll have repeat customers so that you're not constantly offering living social, yelp deals, or groupons only to expose potential new customers to this crappy service. This the worst car "detailing" I've ever had. The $8 hand wash down the street from me does a better job than this place. I bought the $79 groupon and was able yo secure an appointment 3 weeks later when they had availability. Day before appointment they called and asked if I could come in a day later. I own a BRZ and it was not even that dirty to begin with. I had gotten a car wash 2 weeks prior. I dropped off my car at noon and came to pick up my car 3.5 hours later as expected. All my windows and mirrors had something smeared all over so it all the windows are hazy. I had to wipe down my widows myself at home for visibility. I had some gunk on one of my back widow that could've been easily removed and they left it there. Seems they just took a rag with glossy cleaner and went over all the windows with it without even washing beforehand. There were water stains throughout my car and they didn't even vacuum the inside of my trunk. The interior isn't impressive, looks like a light wipe down and vacuum. Nothing amazing. Would not recommend this place. If anyone bought the groupon, try to get a refund because this is a waste of money. read more

Paid $79 for what was offered as a $180 complete detail. What I got was worth about $50 or $60, tops. Shoddy work all around. Wax paste left in trim, shampoo residue left on floor mats, sticky surfaces created on dash armrests and steering wheel. Many areas untouched in the cargo area. Tree sap and white paint transfer nicks from door dings were just waxed over without attempting to take them off with rubbing compound. The most frustrating thing is the sticky mess from whatever they used on the plastic and vinyl surfaces is like a magnet for dust now. Recently I bought a Living Social deal ($79 for what was offered as a $180 complete detail). I came drop off my car exactly at 9:00 AM and the guy at front desk was nice and quickly took the car in. Since I read good reviews on Yelp, I expected a better job on washing my car, shinning the wheels and clean up cabinets. I got the car back in approximately 2 hours. It seems they did a quick, sloppy job on my car. When I got the car back, I pointed out the dust on wheels, the guy apologized and cleaned it. Since i had to run back to work, I cannot wait more for him to finish his work. When we arrived for the first appointment, we were told they were closed for the long holiday weekend and that we should have been called to reschedule. We did NOT receive that call. So, I drove 20 miles to Premier Auto Collision and successfully made a reservation. My appointment scheduled 4 weeks later. Drop off my car and car key to the employee at Premier Auto Collision. I was extremely optimized that I could finally have my car polished. Went picked up my automobile 4 hours later. The employee didn't acknowleged any problem about my car and walked away. Inspecting my car alone. Car was washed but stains remained; interior was vacuumed and wiped which was great. Shockingly, I realized that one of the front speaker cover was punched. Note that my car was parked at the customer parking lot. When back to the front office, door was locked, business closed. I have paid a lesson. From now on and onwards, I will never leave my car to any auto shop before review the Yelp webpage. I could have spent on $35.00 for a exterior and interior cleaning service. I have taken my car to Premier multiple times for multiple reasons. Each time I have had a wonderful experience with Uriel and his staff. They restored my car to factory condition, handled all of the claim details with the insurance companies and keep me updated throughout the process. Even when there was a delay with a part, they called to inform me that it would take an additional day for repairs and called the insurance company to ensure my rental car was extended for the duration of the repairs. Best detail ever! I brought my 12 year old SUV in here for a car detail I purchased through Groupon. They did an amazing job. My car was trashed and grimy before and looked brand new after! The seats and upholstery were the most impressive transformation. I dropped it off at 9am and it was ready at 1pm. First of all, it took 2 months to get an appointment. Then when you go, like others have mentioned, it's hard to find their front desk as they share the space or something. When I went to pick up my car, after 3.5 hrs. that they needed, I couldn't find anyone at the desk, went to the back to where the guys were working, and got my keys. Disappointed to find that all around my windshield were a bunch of water marks! Did they not see that? If I didn't have an appointment to get to right after, I would have had them clean it! BEWARE: My car looks far worse after their job "detailing" it than it looked before I took it in. Paint chips missing from the hood. Blisters on the roof that weren't there when I took it in. They completely forgot to to the back panel of the car till I pointed it out. When I was picking it up the guy assigned to refinish my head lights looked up and said, "I've never done this before but always wanted to try it." After noticing the blisters on the roof I went back to complain and they said it's impossible we did that? All I know is it wasn't there when I took it to them. Just sayin... I had a groupon from friends to clean up my old Chevy Tahoe after it was used as the sag wagon for a 100 mile MTB ride on the White Rim Trail in Utah. Needless to say it was filthy. Plus it's long been the dog mobile and hasn't gotten much cosmetic care. Anyways...these guys did a great job, the truck looks better than it has in years. I came here by word of mouth after I grazed my neighbor's truck with my new car. Their estimate was lower than the second opinion I got, and they even threw in a military discount. I dropped my car off before going on vacation, they gave me a free ride home, then on my request they left the finished car locked on the street so I could pick it up after hours when I got back. They did EXCELLENT work, even repairing a pre-existing dent and scratches on other parts of the same panel. My BMW 5 series looks completely new again. I purchased a Groupon for this company. Not sure what I was thinking since it's not conveniently located to me, but I made an appointment for 9am last week and went in. The place is a little hard to find because it's not clearly marked on the street, and there seem to be several companies that share the space. Nobody was there at 9am (or 9:10, or 9:20), so I called the phone number for the business and it says it was disconnected. So I looked them up on Google and tried another number listed. Also disconnected. I went around the block to an adjacent car business, and they said I should give them the key and they'd do the work. I told them the phone number was disconnected and they said I probably dialed it wrong, which I didn't. He gave me the card for the owner (Uriel Sotomayor) and I called him, but that number was also disconnected. He then gave me Uriel's cell phone, and I tried it, but there was no answer. I left a voicemail but never heard back. Someone did finally start washing the car. And I say washing, not detailing, because that's what it was. When they were done I saw a number of very obvious black marks on the hood that I pointed out. He took a rag and started stabbing at them and by that point I just wanted to get out of there. When I got the car home I found a number of other places on the car that were not cleaned properly and certainly not detailed. The Groupon was for two washes, and I'm not sure it's even worth my trouble to go back for the second one. A $20 local car wash would have done a similar job. read more

I bought a Groupon deal for 2 auto details: Covers: vacuuming, wash exteriors and apply a coat of wax before dressing tires, shining the wheels, and cleaning windows. Inside the vehicle, they vacuum, shampoo floor mats, condition leather, shampoo fabric upholstery, and clean door panels and dash. Typical time done: 3-4 hrs, Appointment: 2 months to get appt unless there's cancellations. Mostly hispanic workers who speak minimal English. I told them twice about the tires because they were not clean and still they leave debris there. Vacuuming was not done very well with debris the the crevices. I agree with previous comments: Uneven gloss over dashboard. This is definitely not a 4 star place with half-slacking workers. This would be a Clean, not an Auto-Detail. I think if you have a nicer car, go somewhere else and get it done somewhere decent and pay the money. I purchased a groupon deal for some sort of mini detail. I scheduled an appointment and was told it would take 3 hours. I dropped off the vehicle at the scheduled time and was again told it would take 3 hours. I planned accordingly by catching a movie at the nearby theater. I bummed around the town a bit longer and returned to get my car 3 1/2 hours later. I find my car in the garage, still being cleaned by 1 guy. I ask him how much longer on the vehicle, and he tells me at least an hour. So 1 1/2 hours longer than I was told? I have things to do, my friends. I go to the front office and ask what gives. The employee tells me to hang on and goes out to the garage. He comes back and tells me the car will be ready in fifteen minutes. Hmm. So now what I know is that the car will not be cleaned thoroughly, they are going to do a speed job on it, but at this point, I don't care because I have to get out of there. The front desk guy offers me no discount for the inconvenience. I drive my half-cleaned car out of there, never to return. Moral of the story. If you plan on using this service, don't bother with an appointment. Plan on leaving your car there the whole day. read more

Twice the phone just rang and rang with no answer (at 11am and 2pm). We arrived on the date of our appointment, only to be told they were closed for the long weekend. We never received a call telling us they were closed, and were turned away with no service. got a groupon for a auto detail. approaching this place it looked so sketch. it is an auto body shop and there was no one there. we had the first appointment of the day and just had to linger until someone arrived. when they did we were helped immediately and told the car would be done in 2 hours and we would receive a call. however the car wasn't done after 4 hours. 4 hours?!?!?! we just immediately thought the worse. were they stripping my car down to the roots?! why would a detail take 4 hours?! i called the place to follow up and they didn't answer. this made panic even MORE. then i called AGAIN and it seemed like the number got forwarded to a cell phone. the guy that answered said that he wasn't in the office but would call someone. i freaked out and immediately went to go get the car. upon arrival the car was done and just parked. The Detail: upon inspection they didn't put back the mats. good thing we checked and didn't just drive off! took them a minute to locate it. in their cleaning process i could see a giant greasy hand print on the leather seat. not sure a detail should miss the details! they didn't do a great job on the wheels either. they didn't get into the nooks and crannies on the wheels and just wiped down the surface and put some tire shine. since i have gold wheels it was very obvious. the black grime was still there. i did appreciate that they put all the little junk items they found in the car into a plastic bag. even possible garbage items. the guy kinda explained it was a "mini detail" with the groupon. but it didn't seem like they were into the details. overall it was just OKAY. if i could 2.5 stars. not sure if i'll return. for the amount of time they supposedly spent on the car it didn't look that awesome. Waste of money! Paid $79 on living social for a fancy detailing that is normally priced above $100. Did they wash my car? Yes. Is there still bird dook on my hood? Yes. They did not wax my car. There were tufts of dog hair between the seats still. I pointed them out to the one guy working on my car and he spent another 10 minutes vacuuming. He kept apologizing for the crappy job; it was pretty obviously subpar. There is a lot of glossy product all over my moulding. Not sure if that's good or bad... I had already waited 3.5 hours, though and didn't have the heart to complain and make a fuss, so that's what I ended up with. As I was leaving the lot I saw a sign for an Express Detail for $49.99. My wife and I are driving our 04 Nissan Maxima, when she rear ends a truck damaging our entire from end. I was towed in downtown SF to the nearest tow yard and I take a taxi cab home. When I called my insurance, they referred me to a shop on their list which wasn't close to my work, my home or the shop where my car was at in San Francisco. I work in downtown Redwood City and I live in San Mateo, so I wanted to be close to the vehicle for pickup. When the insurance estimator goes out, the quote is for the insurance shop in their network with the cheapest parts and not the shop of your choice . When I called around, some places wouldn't work with my insurance due to slow pay or wouldn't work with them because of some rate they were saying, which I am clueless to. When I called Premier auto collision, they reviewed the estimate and informed me that what they do is visually asses the damage like the adjuster does and then remove blatant damaged parts and adjust when more damage is found. Nobody that I spoke to over the phone made it sound that simple. I was either placed on hold or told to bring the car into their shop with no solutions as to how to get it there. Premier arranged for the car to get towed to their shop, in towing terms from SF, that is a little far but they did it. I think it makes a difference if you choose a shop that is on your side versus the insurance side. The insurance choose replacement parts that when I called Nissan, were substandard compared to OEM parts. Would you rather have the cheapest item on the market or an OEM part? Visually, it may not make a difference, but when you take your vehicle to the dealer and when you decide to resell, you'll wish you had OEM parts versus the cheapest parts available. Premier also called and made the appointment for me in reference to my insurance covered rental car, and when I was at the rental car returning the car when my car was done, another guy was there referred to them by Premier getting a discount from because they needed a car but it wasn't covered by their insurance. This place seems to have it together to make it headache free, which is most important when you have to deal with a broken vehicle getting fixed. I had AAA insurance then, and have since changed over to Nationwide. When my other car gets bumped, I know where to go. There is a reason that CA law allows you to go anywhere versus where your insurance send you.
