I had a broken mortise lock. After I received the replacement parts from the manufacturer, Elliott came out and installed the new parts. But better still was that he fixed another problem we had experienced ever since the front door was installed. In the cold, wet weather, we would have difficulty locking the deadbolt because, as he explained, the mortise lock was not installed properly. I misplaced my second set of keys and the Land Rover dealership quoted me nearly $400 for the replacement, which would also include the alarm/remote entry. I live in the Peninsula and my friend who is a lock smith told me that this particular key was hard to replace and I would need a specialist. He recommended Elliott and Premier Locksmith. Stubbornly and out of convenience I decided to go to someone local. Great business owner but the key cut there (75 in cost) broke after second day of use. It was replaced at a reduced cost of $15 since I still had the broken set and only needed to be copied. The replacement was worse and I was worried it wouldn't last long either. I finally came to my senses and contacted Elliott. He was professional from the start and gave me the option to either drive up myself, which would cost less- or he would be willing to provide mobile service as well. Amazing! Our front gate was not really meant to have an electric keypad on it. The metal fabricators didn't make the gate correctly for a key pad. It would work perfectly for a traditional lock. Our metal Emtek keypad was twisting back-and-forth on the smooth metal gate and the lock wasn't working well., I wasn't quite sure how to fix this problem but I found Premier Lock Smith and they were so fantastic. They showed up and took ownership and offered several suggestions. They have these trucks that they drive around that can do basically anything on site. I've gone to Elliot and his crew twice now with seemingly impossible situations. The first time I had lost both sets of my BMW keys within a couple of days and was definitely in a bind. Elliot told me what to bring and was able to cut keys out of his mobile lab with just a few identifying numbers from my car. I had no idea that could be done! And recently, just this past weekend, I was joking with Elliot about how difficult Volkwagon has made it to sync new keys with your modern vehicle. Again I was caught unaware that my key itself had to be coded into my car. And when Elliot's main machine didn't recognize my particular vehicle, he persisted, found a solution by getting a dealer machine into the loop, which still took some 30 minutes itself to program the key. But, he got it done. The key is perfect. Elliot sticks to his word on pricing. And he follows through. What's even better is that even if you can't get to him, he's mobile, so he can come to you. This is hands down the best locksmith I've ever encountered and I get the feeling he can get anything done, both quickly and for a great price. Before premier was able to make it to my job, my originally scheduled locksmith showed up to the job and I did not realize it wasn't premier locksmith until the premier serviceman called that he was at my building. I had a great feeling about them when a live person actually answered the phone on my first call. Elliot was able to schedule an appointment that very afternoon. Their professionalism, courtesy, and communication was refreshing after the headache I had dealing with "Pop a lock" earlier today. Service was completed in under 2 hours. There was only a travel delay because of traffic. I still have yet to understand why a glorified clothes hanger that takes 30 seconds to stick under a door and pull on the handle costs me $145 for a one-time use, but I guess i'll file that under the unsolved mysteries of the locksmith business. Premier Locksmith is one of those businesses that you hardly ever use, but when you need them, you are ecstatic that they exist. I am new to this fancy programmed car key, having just traded up my 12 year old Chevy for a new SUV. The dealer only had one fancy key and they were unable to make me a second. They gave me a credit so I could get one later closer to home here in SF. I went to Serramonte Ford but was told the earliest appointment to get a new key was two days later. You're screwing with me, right? Nope. The awesome guy back in the parts department told me about Elliott. Funny, I asked him if he had a card....he had a whole box full! How two wrongs make a right ... House and kitty sitting for friends on Potrero Hill, grabbed my market basket and headed to Good Life for groceries about 7pm on on Friday night. Wrong #1 - left my wallet at the house. Quickly trekked back the one block, put the key in the door and that was a far as I got. Wrong # 2 - no turning, no opening, and no sensitive jiggling (even with a few Hail Mary's) would get me back in the house. Oh, and that key wasn't coming out; it was stuck (and windy and cold - I still wearing my East Bay uniform of short and flip flops. Hmmm. I checked yelp* for local options and it was not promising -- woeful tales of $400+ dollars to rescue a damsel in distress. With my trusty cell phone (but not my wallet) in tow, I called my friends - my favorite 4th Generation San Franciscans. Without hesitation, I was told to "call Elliot". "Elliot" translates to they guy who coaches basketball for my favorite 12 year old San Franciscan superstar (who got the game wining shot last week, btw) - a.k.a Premier Locksmith. Matt Batmale was quick to answer, but there was the disclaimer that they may have to damage to lock or door and they do not normally respond for work unless I am the home owner - my heart sunk a little, but there was hope. Luckily my ID was in the house; I had an email/text trail of correspondence form the homeowner; I had a key which was stuck in the lock. Thankfully, I also had my car keys and seat warmer while I waited for less than an hour for Matt to arrive on his white stallion (ok, really a white van) and magically get the locking mechanism out, remove my key and kinda mess with the thing to get it working, without having to damage a thing. We did a couple of trial runs to make sure that there was little risk of a repeat performance. The "Right" that comes from two wrongs. I didn't look like a burglar (according to Matt) but he checked that all evidence confirmed my less-than-shady appearance --- which I know I would expect if were the homeowner. And the bill, well, let's just say this won't cut into my travel budget to Belize. "Premier" Locksmith -- they most certainly exhibit the values of service to earn that moniker. read more

Was on Yelp looking for a professional locksmith in the area to program two car keys I bought from the internet. I decided to give them a call and was answered promptly with a quote. I was told to meet at Elliot's house which just happened to be few minutes away from my house. Upon arriving, Elliot my quickly cutted my two keys but unfortunately it was my fault for causing a confusion which lead to the wrong key being cut which led me to come back the next day. Luckily I had an extra key shell lying around my house. I came back the next day and was helped by Matt who quickly programmed my keys without any problems within minutes. In addition, he also provided me with an additional valet key which was nice since the dealer cheaped out. Although I was still short one key shell, Elliot decided to make things right by taking the initiative in ordering me a new key shell which was very nice of him.
