This is my second time going and I'm actually really happy I wasn't serviced. None of the workers greeted or even acknowledged my presence. There is a strange vibe, although the first time I went there the workers seemed kind they are cold towards anyone that isn't them. Never not professional, just cold people that hold no warmth for outsiders. Which is a shame. 3.98 for cleanliness. 4.75 for labor/service done, 0.99 for atmosphere/energy 2 for pricing. Just came for the first time to get a Mani/Pedi done. I got my manicure done first, she was really gentle about the entire process. I got hot stones and wax and some sugar scrubs my feet feel amazing! Then she did my manicure and asked me if I wanted gel or dip and I said no and she was very excepting of that. Which I appreciate. Immediately moving on the finish my manicure; I was finished in a reasonable amount of time this visit. Mimi reminded me of the intial visit by apologizing for the length of time. She's a real gem and pays close attention to details. Mimi offered services like design & matte finish neither of which I've tried before however; I'm actually excited to try given how beautiful my hands turned out today. All is forgiven. Even after tests and clinical rotations would keep me away for months at a time, they recognize me & ask for updates about my life - definitely feel that "personal" aspect here, especially since they seem to have a low turnover rate of employees. Priced just right, kind, and quick to repair mishaps (once I pulled a gel nail off about a week into my wear and they fixed for free without issue) Today, Nick (sp?) was so patient with me as I pulled out this colorful design I saw on The Bachelorette lol. He took his time to match up the colors, protect my nail, and to create the delicate lines. Per my request, we kept the nails shorter and swapped out 1-2 colors and they are exactly what I had hoped for! :) I graduate med school next week and find it harder to leave this nail salon than any other place in STL (even my school!) One of the worst nail experiences I've ever had. Went in for a fill and the lady said she couldn't match the color of my nails which is fine. So when she started to take them off and glue tips on, she informed me that my service would be close to $100. I told her that is way too expensive and asked to to remove the tips. She kept gluing them on and saying she would "take care of me". I asked for a specific price and she was very vague before settling on $60. At this point I felt everything was very scammy and wanted to leave. She cut down the tips but didn't remove them and didn't file them down. Both establishments are located in busy areas! For what I needed, Premier Nails had nice service and did a solid job on my MANicure; reasonably priced and had a good environment! I had to wait a few minutes to be seated; so I would encourage making an appointment if you so choose. The strip mall that Premier Nails is in could prevent a parking challenge during "peak" times, however, I had no issue finding a place to park at this establishment. When I arrived I was seated immediately for my pedicure and the gentleman who did it was very kind and took his time to make sure my feet looked and felt amazing. I had my nails done by a different nail technician this visit (Mimi). As you all can see she did an amazing job! The man who did my pedicure was quite impatient. I watched him be rude to a client before me and I figured it was because she was a child. Then he got to me and handled me in the same manner. The polish on my toes came off as he slid the pedicure sandals on me and he huffed and puffed because I asked him to fix HIS MISTAKE. I will NEVER be back. My first experience here was mediocre at best. The last time I got a manicure and pedicure and to be frank the job was just done sloppily. But this time I fell in love! Amy did such a good job on my nails. She took her time and was very patient with my indecisiveness around my color choice. The shop is particularly sanitary. You can tell they pay attention to detail. I will definitely be back! If I am being honest I would say yes the shop is a bit pricey, but like anything else you get what you pay for. My daughter and I visited Premier because there was no parking near the normal nail place we use in the CWE. The set up is nice, clean and looks top notch. My compliments stop there. My daughter and I were put in pedicure chairs right away. We sat for 15 minutes before someone started working on me. The tech finished my toes and no one had started on my daughter. I was taken up front for my mani and asked when someone was going to start my daughter's toes. "In just one minute" was the answer. My tech then *asked* me to wait a minute when a friend arrived so that she could do her friend's eyebrows. When she came back, I again asked about my daughter who had been sitting without being helped for 40 minutes. "in just one minute". After another five minutes, someone finally started helping my daughter. TWO HOURS later we were finally both finished. When I didn't tip, the tech would did my daughter's nails gave me a snotty "well thank you." While I sat there waiting for them to finish my daughter's nails, I also watched them treat an elderly woman with disdain. I recently moved back to STL in search of a nail tech. I went to two different places prior to being referred to Mimi here. I have found my new home! Mimi is amazing. She takes her time and does a quality service. She also offers those cherries on top by offering designs for all occasions and designs for fun! Next time I'll for sure get one of her amazing designs. She gave me a flawless pedicure and an amazing dip powder manicure. She shaped my nails to the highest level of perfection and there is not one flaw on my hands or toes. I appreciate her taking the time to fix my jacked up nails. My nails were horrible from a salon that shall not be named. She did not once complain, give off body language of complaining or huff or puff. I really appreciate it considering the fact that I knew that my nails were going to be a tough fix because of what happened somewhere else. Mimi is the truth and I am one happy girl! Now let's get to the meat in the potatoes. The salon has a very chic look with the lighting and chandeliers. They put plastic liners in the tub's prior to doing a pedicure which is nice and very sanitary. The pedicure tub's have LED lights on the sides which is a nice touch of class. They have a very large selection of colors and that goes for gel or powder or traditional polish. They are fast and efficient based on my observation of watching clients come and go. Everyone in the salon was very patient which is nice, especially after witnessing someone get their toes painted and then request to completely change the color. Me personally, I wouldn't do that however that's none of my business I just commend the nail tech for not showing frustration in that situation because I wouldn't have handled it in the same way. There is a parking lot but because the salon is in a strip mall, the parking lot was a little full. That's expected on a Friday evening. I was able to park close to the door. There was plenty of parking available in the lot, just may not be right in front of the salon.They accept cash, credit or debit.
