I contracted with Premier Painting in Prescott Arizona to paint the stucco exterior of my 4,000 sq. ft two story house. Jeremy Benjamin was very punctual for the bid and was dressed neatly. I always inspect the vehicles of contractors because that is a mirror of their attitude about their work product, and their work vehicle was maintained proudly. He fully explained what the process and the time table would be and the schedule for the job. He helped me determine the best coating product which ended up being perfect. I also requested UV protectant be added into the paint. The job began within a day or so of the original schedule. The two man crew effectively prepped the house and masked everything very completely. Work took about 2.5 weeks. I asked that all horizontal stucco surfaces receive tripple coating due to standing water causing freezing and cracking of the stucco. The bid included a certain amount of paint. As work proceeded, we realized that with the dryness of the stucco, and additional requirement of the third coat on top of the pop-outs, that we needed an extra 10 gallons. Jeremy did not try to charge me for that extra paint which was incredibly honorable of him to honor his bid. I could not possibly allow him to do that and insisted on paying for the extra paint that I basically requested. The job was done with care to a quality standard rather than a TIME standard. I really appreciated that in an industry where "moe, blow and go" is more of the standard. I am extremely satisfied with the job Premier did and in fact have recommended them to 2 neighbors one of which has already started work. Premier is a small and proud family business and they work very hard to please their customers. I would not hesitate to employ them for painting again. We had this company contracted to paint the interior of our house. When we had them visit to receive a quote, we were told that except for the trim and doors, the walls would receive two coats of paint rolled on and there would be three persons here for seven days. As it turned out, when they arrived, there were only two men. The first day they mainly did prep work on one portion of the house with some trim painting. Seemed like they spent about 15 minutes of every hour standing outside by their truck. The next day the same two men returned and by mid morning, they had spent almost two hours standing by their truck saying that the trim paint wasn't drying. We asked them if while they were waiting, why weren't they beginning the prep of the other parts of the house. So, on our request they started prepping other parts of the house. The third day, the same two men returned and one said we can't do this in two rolled coats without putting a prime coat on first because the base coat was too dark to cover. Later that day, they started spraying everything...walls, ceilings and trim. this left a white haze in the house which lasted throughout the weekend. My wife has asthma and reacted to the white particles in the air over the weekend. We contacted the owner of the company about these issues and that they were now spraying and he came the following Monday morning. He agreed that no further spraying of the walls would be done. Three people came that day and guess what...they could cover the walls with two coats rolled on which led us to believe gay had every intention of spraying the walls even though we were told by the owner they would roll the paint on the walls. Over that weekend she they were not here, we started cleaning up the portion of the house that had been done. We had just taken delivery of new exercise equipment that had black floor pads underneath them. Someone full of fresh paint sat on the rowing machine and used it leaving white paint on every surface that he touched and left white footprints on the mats. We spent an entire morning just cleaning the equipment and the floor pads...some of the paint on the floor pads is still there. They finished the job hurriedly on the eighth day. We had some issues Immediately afterward that were corrected by the owner. Now that it has been nearly two months since they finished, we continually find things that should have been done but we're left either undone or some sloppiness they didn't care to fix. One closet that was to be painted with two coats was barely done with one coat as the old paint color can still be seen through the one coat; a large portion of one wall left completely unpainted; two other closets where they were not supposed to paint had paint slopped beyond the door trim; caulking along a sink that was pointed out to the lead person was left undone. Most of the painting that was done is of good quality but we had to keep watch on them as one took regular hourly breaks. Based on the aftermath of what we are having to deal with that was not properly done, we would say that if you use this company, make sure you get everything you want done in writing and require that the owner do a final inspection before payment. Also, make sure they respect your furnishings and do not sit on anything. read more

We had the outside of the house and guesthouse painted by this company this month. They were old, weathered buildings and needed a lot of extra preparation work. The job was performed just as quoted and with excellent results. I would use this company again...in fact I probably will to paint the inside. read more
