I ABSOLUTELY LOVED everybody that works at the Middletown facility. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. They have become family to me. I had 3 surgeries (1 brain & 2 back) since Jan 2019 and was in rough shape. Thanks to Jen Atwood and the other amazing therapists I am WAY BETTER and feeling back to my regular self. I still have back pain after a long day of teaching, but I do stretches/exercises that they taught me and that always helps. Thanks to everyone at Middletown Premier P.T. I will greatly miss seeing you guys. read more

I go to the Wilmington location. Lauren and Jenny are fantastic! They are a great team and if one isn't getting the right mix of therapy to fix you, the other will. Beware the elbows, these ladies wield them like magical therapy swords! read more

I never hesitate to go to Premier PT when I'm injured. The entire staff is exceptional. They help me recover much faster than I would on my own & they give me the tools to help prevent future injuries. Best Physical Therapy around! read more

Premier Physical Therapy and Sports Performance was founded in 2007 by two local Delaware physical therapists, Pat Williams PT, MPT, OCS, and Tom Windley PT, MPT, Ph.D. Since 2007, Premier has grown their model of clinical excellence with the addition of partners. Together the team has created an environment to continue to enable the growth of physical therapists who have a patient-centered focus on the development of the highest clinical standards. Premier PT is an out-patient orthopaedic and sports physical therapy group treating musculoskeletal dysfunction and pain for all conditions. We specialize in sports physical therapy, dry needling, splinting and certified hand therapy, industrial injury prevention and rehabilitation, recovery from auto accident injuries, post-concussion treatment, balance training, post-surgical rehabilitation, athletic training, and the treatment and rehabilitation of all types of acute and chronic pain and injury conditions.

Meet the Business Owner: Jen A.

Jennifer is a board Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist and a Board Certified Sports Clinical Specialist as recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association. She is one of the few dual Board Certified Specialists in the state of Delaware. Prior to moving to Delaware, Jennifer lived in Fort Collins, CO and received her bachelor of science in Health and Exercise Science-Sports Medicine with a minor in coaching at Colorado State University. She was a competitive figure skater for 14 years and has coached skaters of all ages. She has passed her gold level tests, the highest in figure skating. Following her undergraduate education, she traveled internationally with Feld Entertainment's Disney on Ice for three years.

As a very active 62-year-old who loves yoga, I was experiencing achiness in my upper arms that was really affecting my practice. I had been to other chiropractors, but their adjustments alone weren't solving the problem. I even started worrying that I might have an autoimmune disease or something serious. Then I went to Dr. Philip Brown, and everything changed. Not only did he give me a fantastic adjustment, but he also took the time to explain that I needed to add arm exercises with 3 lbs. weights to strengthen the muscles around my rotator cuff. He patiently explained how certain muscles were overworking to compensate for the weaker ones and how I could address this imbalance. I followed his advice and incorporated the exercises into my weekly routine, and it worked wonders! My achiness is gone, and I'm back to enjoying my yoga practice without any discomfort. Sadly this is how most health care is run today. Perhaps the insurance wont pay for the MRI until all the Chiropractic and PT is done but its a terrible process. The staff there is very caring and maybe Im being unfair but it seems like an xray or some diagnostic imaging should have been done of the shoulder to determine the root cause of the pain since I was basically being treated for frozen shoulder when Im bone on bone with a rotator cuff tear.

In 2025 I found Dr. Ken Morris for acupuncture focused on optic-nerve stimulation and retinal blood flow; after twice-weekly treatments for three months, my vision improved enough that I can drive and watch TV without telescopic devices. I highly recommend Dr. Morris for anyone dealing with low vision or retinal damage.
