I posted the previous review in exchange for a few free months of service. I have now had this company servicing my pool for almost a year, and I can say.... STAY AWAY. I have called several times directly to the manager / owner. I have received ONE CALL back, which I was unable to answer but received a voicemail. I have sent several emails. No response. Maybe a review will get their attention? We pay for their highest tier of service which should include vaccumming (when needed), clean filter every 4 months (they have done this ONCE in about a year), balance water chemistry (assuming this means more than taking chlorine and pH and sending those readings to the homeowner...thats all they do....and those arent balanced let me tell you), check pool equipment, brush waterline tile, benches, cabo shelf, and steps, net pool of debris, empty pool skimmer, sweep, filter basket. This is 195 dollars per month. Here is the problem. 1) We have been dealing with algae for over 2 months now. Our pool is brand new (finished Sept 2025). I initally discovered the algae on our cabo shelf after being on vacation for 4 days. It started staining the bottom of the shelf. Our pool technician did not ever see it. I showed him. He told me it was rust. When I told him I had been sweeping the pool several times a day to get rid of it and keep it at bay, he said it was algae. He shocked the pool and did muriatic acid. It would improve for a few days and then algae was back. It had spread to the sides of the pool but mostly concentrated on our bench and cabo shelf areas. 2) Our technician regularly tests pH and chlorine. Both numbers are always 8 (pH) and 0 (chlorine) which are not good levels. After several weeks of him testing these same numbers and doing the same thing of adding extra shock, acid, or algaecide (which wasnt working), I talked to the technician again. He said the chlorine should never be 0 (but they keep it at 0....literally since day 1), but that our pH could be high due to the acid treatments he does. After a while, he said he could try testing additional items. He tested phosphates and said ours were high and that we would need to pay an additional $200 for them to clean our filter and do a special phosphate treatment. I advised that I wanted it taken care of even if I had to pay (although I think that is quite unfair considering they havent tested it / have let it build up for a year and havent controlled any of the numbers appropriately). Meanwhile, we continue to have 0.00 ppm of chlorine in our pool and algae, and no phosphate treatment to my knowledge. 3) Pool brushing. This was a big one for me and part of the reason I was willing to pay more for a "higher tier". I have been brushing my pool several times a day. Especially the cabo shelf and bench. I asked my technician what they brush and he told me the tile line. I asked him why they would not brush the shelf, benches, steps, and upper sides of the pool (where the algae has been a problem for us) and he said they only do that "if there is visible algae". I wish I was joking. I suppose I could stop brushing it myself and let it build up so they could see it enough to perform their end of the contract (per contract they should do the bench, steps, shelf, tile EVERY week). 4) Emptying pool basket, filter, etc. Our technician empties these on the concrete right where he picks them up. Instead of into a bag, or maybe the trash can.....it drives me insane. I sweep it up every single week... I already know I will have a mess by the pool equipment and pool basket I have emailed them to ask that they use a trash can but no response. Common sense I think? 5) Communication. When I tell you its SO BAD, please take heed. This is a large company, and the Rocklin office is an ofshoot of that. You cant get ahold of anyone and there is zero communication and follow through. I cant even get anyone to call me so I can get out of my contract and hire someone competent. Our technician is kind, respectful, and professional. The vibe I get is that he has very little direction / supervision / support from this company, and that the company is very poorly run. At this point, I think all should be aware that the positive reviews on here are highly incentivized. Some of the reviews are for Premier Pools (the builder)...don't be fooled there either. Premier pools (builder) are absolutely amazing. But the POOL SERVICING company is NOT THE SAME. Do not go with this company unless you enjoy paying a higher price than comparable companies in exchange for horrible service. read more

I have been with Cole since the day our pool was finished by Premier Pools. I will say that for the first year while Cole took care of things everything was perfect. This last year our new pool looks like crap. It's dirty, stuff floating on the top. Our tech does not skim or brush our pool. My pool is very small, 6800 gallons. We pay a reduced rate because we need less chemicals and it is easier to take care of. However like I said, this last filter change (additional charge $140) they did not seal the unit properly. Dirt and crap all over. Also with no skimming the Dogwood buildup on our pool plugged our pool sweep. Cole came out on Monday and set a plan in place for the filter to be redone. That took place on Tuesday. Today our regular service guy was suppose to brush & skim ( that did not happen. When I text to complain Cole told me his guy had a medical emergency would it be possible for me to brush & skim. Last we had someone come by for a estimate and he told us the calcium build up on the tile (less than 2 years old) is due to chemicals being out of balance. This will cost us close to $400 to get it cleaned. I would strongly recommend you look to other pool service companies. Cole is great getting you going but does not have the support staff to keep your pool healthy & clean. One last thing is that when I have called into Cole to discuss these issues he try's to brush it off on to us. He claims his discounted services are a favor. Our pool cleaner stopped working weeks ago and apparently the tech wasn't aware of it which is surprising since he services the pool every week. My husband asked about getting the filters cleaned and was told they were short staffed. We had to hire another pool company to come out and clean our filters. They were so bad that water wasn't even running through them anymore. I sent an email with pictures to the owner and he had the audacity to act as if the filters weren't that dirty. He also gave me some BS that they were planning to come within the next couple of weeks to clean them. I asked for a full months refund because I had to pay the other company to clean my filters and he only offered me a refund for 1 week of service. read more

Our experience building a pool with premier pool overall was a pretty great experience. Lance Irby was our sales representative. He answered all our questions, had great ideas for us, and with his experience was able to guide us through the whole process. I will say that Lance made this process so smooth for us any issue that popped up or a change we wanted to make Lance was so prompt. He would return our calls so quickly we never felt like we had to wait to get answers to our questions. We had a rock fountain built which turned out better than I could have imagined! I have to say all the workers who we crossed paths within this process were very friendly. We also were referred to Keith Hallums for landscaping help. He worked with us from the beginning of the process which I recommend so you can map out where the sleeves can go for irrigation while the trenches are open. He was very helpful and had great design ideas. I had my own design ideas and he was able to incorporate all my visions. The end product turned out amazing. I would hands down recommend Lance to work with when building and pool and Keith with landscaping. Building a pool is not an easy task our yard was torn to shreds, it was muddy through the winter but the crew always cleaned up before they left. The few month of a messy yard sure was worth it. Overall our pool looks amazing our friends and family are amazed with the beauty of our new pool and lovely landscaping.
