I called for a quote and it took a couple days to have them get back to me. They then came out the next day to give me an estimate for a couple palm trees to get cut in my backyard. I needed them done prior to an event on Saturday and the owner promised he could get them done on a Friday morning. I then called to confirm time Thursday night and he then said Friday afternoon even though I said I had to leave for an event so I wouldn't be around but I would leave the gate open for the crew. He said he would contact me once they are on their way but said they would come before I left and they never did. No call or update. My experience with Premier was so positive I am writing a yelp review which is rare for me. They have the most competitive pricing compared to 2 other quotes I received from other landscapers and they were very easy to deal with. They have both their liability insurance and workers comp insurance which was important for me when it came to hiring a landscaper. My job was a big job and they sent out guys for two days to finish it and once they were done my house was cleaner than when they started. George was the head guy and he was so nice and answered all my questions and did more than I asked them to do. His guys were all very nice and respectful and they were very careful with everything they did and with my house. This company provided an estimate but did not properly complete the work I requested. I had a tree fall over in my yard and asked to have the tree, roots and stump removed. When the workers said they were done, I asked if everything - tree, roots and stump were removed - and was told they were. However, only the tree was removed, and I did not discover this until I made a plan to replant. After two weeks of trying to contact Sal, the owner, on the phone, he told me their estimate did not include removal of the stump, and that I had misunderstood. I know that I clearly did not misunderstand. Sal agreed to come by the following Monday to look at the work done and determine the cost to remove the tree stump, but he never came or called. Initially I had two other estimates that both were comparable and included all the work I need done. However, I chose Premier as they had time the same day to do the work, and I needed it done to remove the fallen tree from the street. Big mistake! I finally had to pay another company to do the work Premier did not complete. This company is not reliable, and satisfaction is not guaranteed. About a year ago I had Premier Tree Experts prune and shape my large hong kong orchid tree. They laced it up beautifully and I gave them a 5 star review. This time the job was much less satisfactory. Instead of pruning and lacing, they just chopped off limbs. It looks terrible and many of the remaining limbs are split. I am extremely disappointed and dissatisfied. I'm giving them a 2 instead of a 1 because they showed up on time and cleaned up thoroughly. read more
