DO NOT GO TO PREMIER!!! ALL THEY SEE IS $$$ WHEN YOU WALK IN THE DOOR! Thursday night I took my Yorkie to Preimer because she was lethargic when I came home from work and my vet was closed. When I got there they took her in back and ask me to wait they were going to do vitals. 20 minutes later they call me into a room without my dog and tell me it will be another 20 minutes or so until the doctor can see her their switching shifts. Send me back to waiting room without my dog! She said she had a slight fever and wanted to keep an eye on her. 30 minutes later Doc calls me into a room tells me shes examined Lucy and she needs too do xrays and blood work to figure out what was going on. Here it comes send poor vet tech to tell me it's going to cost $800. I said no way refused the treatment. They ask to give her fluids and $200 later I left the fluids were only $70. I was hoping to wait untill AM when my vet was open. But when I got home my poor girl was breathing so hard and I still didn't know what was wrong. Even though they supposedly examined her in back! I decided I could lIve with myself if something happen overnight and reluctantly went back and ask them to do the xrays and blood work. They immediately took her in back and did the test 45 minutes later the doctor calls us into a room shows us her blood work is normal but her liver heart and possibly lymph nodes were enlarged. Doctor says she still doesn't know what's going on and Lucy will need a ultrasound to figure it out. So $900 later I still don't know what's wrong with my dog! Recommended we go to Buffalo Grove in the morning. Sends us home with pain meds and something for the liver which we never ended up giving her either med!! Immediately to her to buffalo Grove in the AM. They did the ultrasound which was cheaper than the xrays at Premier!!! Told us she had a small tumor on her liver but this was not cause the symptoms that she was having cause her blood work shows her liver was functioning fine even though it was enlarged! Doctor ask me to exam Lucy and she did it in front of us not in some back room! In 10 minutes she looked at Lucy she said it looked like her jaw was out of alignment. They kept her did xrays and put her jaw back in place and my girl is recovering nicely. Long story short version don't go here all they want is your money. Arrived after 6 pm, didn't leave until 1 am on a Wednesday evening. During that time, we had to call the receptionist to ask what was going on. She proceeded to lie and inform us that our pet was next in line to be seen. 40 minutes later, after watching other customers with non-emergency issues go in and out of the building... We literally had to take our pet and walk up to the front door to get their attention, while employees just stared and did nothing while sitting on their asses. After waving one person over, common sense finally seemed to strike someone. These people have absolutely no clue what they are doing as far as scheduling, communication, and organization. Unless you want to sit and wait while your pet's condition worsens for several hours, then please go anywhere else but here, even if it is located farther away. read more

After much deliberation, I am compelled to give the lowest possible rating available. What is the function and duty of a 24/7 clinic touting itself as an emergency and specialty treatment clinic? Would not one think it only reasonable that this clinic be responsive and available to serve at all times as it claims its product to be? It did not and ignored urgent contacts for several days and was dismissive and cavalier in refusing to respond and help even when urgent contact emphasized life and death was in balance. Our canine took a turn for the worse after numerous chemo treatments. Our instructions were to contact the clinic immediately if any problem or change in condition. We did as directed. Premier ignored us. Wednesday : urgent call in the AM to the front desk. Had to "pull teeth" but front desk assured it would immediately contact the vet handling or his assistant and emphasize the emergency. Call in the early PM as no response. A run around. Next day Thursday, urgent call with promise to help. No response. PM email to Premier's site. No response until 4:45 PM with a voice mail from the assistant to the effect, " I was really busy all day to respond. Your dog is dying. We can't do anything." Reprehensible response in assuming questions without any effort to find out specifically. Friday, AM voice mail from the vet who just blew it off. This is professionalism? This is how a matter of this sort should be handled? I think not. Premier obviously considers this mishandling acceptable. The canine died the following Monday even though the original prognosis was a estimate he would live another 9-12 months. took our dog to this clinic yesterday as we couldn't get into our regular vet. Our dog had been shivering/shaking for a few days and she wasn't acting herself. The vet at this clinic said she had a fever, but didn't offer anything except pain medication. A fever generally indicates some sort of infection. She continued to get worse and we were able to get into our regular vet today. He did a thorough examination. She still had a fever and her stomach was tense and hard. She was diagnosed with a gastrointestinal infection. She was given a shot to treat her fever and we were sent home with antibiotics. They also did blood work to ensure that everything else is funtioning properly. Premier did a quick examination and charged us $170 to tell us to keep an eye on her. A gastrointestinal infection doesn't happen overnight, especially since she hasn't been well for a few days. Our regular vet was surprised that nothing was done for her yesterday. I will not take either of my dogs here. read more

I only selected one star because they don't offer anything less. These people are greedy and money hungry. We took our Yorkie in because he had some diarrhea and was spitting up bile. After the vet saw him, he said he didn't see any immediate concern. He asked if he could take him out back to further examine him which we agreed to. Minutes later we heard our pup screaming at the top of his lungs. Finally the old lady with tatted arms at the front desk calls upon us for payment before even telling us what had been done. $302.52 she says to us. My first thought was, if the vet didn't see any immediate concern, then why were we paying a stupid amount of money. Finally we paid and the old lady calls to say that he's ready for discharge. They bring him up and we leave. Still wondering exactly what the $302 were for aside from maybe a consultation visit. Since they take your pup to the back, it makes me wonder if the creep job vet even did anything. You want some good animals healthcare?!?!?! Go to Round Lake Animal Hospital and ask for Dr. Rama Hafeez. He genuinely cares and treats all of his furry patients as if they were his own pets. Extremely disgusted with these "Premier" scumbags. Update.....Its been almost 48 hours since my boy was taken to Premier and his condition has worsened although the vet said he didn't have any immediate concerns. I took him to Round Lake Animal Hospital and within minutes the doctor told us that he had tapeworm. He gave him a penicillin shot, a deworming shot, an oral antibiotic and probiotics. The total cost was $130 for everything. We called Premier to inform them how disgusted we are with their services. The young lady on the phone proceeds to tell me that there weren't any doctors on staff today. Really?!?! It's a 24 hour animal hospital. This just keeps getting better, unbelievable!!! People! Save your money, time and efforts. Go somewhere else. Tapeworm is so common in dogs and they couldn't even figure that out. Do not have extended hours fo the cardiologist when my husband and I work 9-5. And then their days are only M- Th. Receptionist got super snotty when I complained and then hung up on me! Happy to take your money but don't view the customer as important. They couldn't even tell me what tests my dog wounded so I could budget accordingly. Go somewhere else if it's an option. read more

I'm glad we decided to decline many of her suggestions for a diagnosis for our pup and see our regular doc in the AM. After two years, it does not appear my dog's adrenal tumor is coming back, thanks, in part, to this place's chemo treatment! I am also grateful that this place saved my dog's life when he swallowed a grape. They attended to him immediately when we arrived, induced vomiting, and monitored his blood levels for three days. read more

I waited 1 week to write this review. Mostly because I was grieving my Yorkie passing away and just needed time to process everything that had transpired. I am writing this review because I ask you that read it and hopefully it will save your pets life by you going elsewhere. On 7/31 I took my Yorkie in around 3:15PM. They didn't call us back till some 3 hours later. So for some 3 hours we waited in the lobby waiting to be seen. In those 3 hours I saw a nurse go to Walgreens and return maybe 10 minutes later. As I was walking my sick Yorkie up and down the lobby, I could hear laughter behind the doors. I saw as Jimmy John's was delivered and brought to back. As I'm watching all this, my Yorkie has no thrown up blood on the floor, not once but two times. The staff behind the desk seemed worried and she tried to get the attention of a nurse. The nurse came out, saw the throw up/blood on the floor, just nodded and said OK. That's it. Nothing more. I finally called back with my sick Yorkie. The nurse apologized that I had to wait so long and said there was an emergency that required all the attending nurses. I'm thinking I just saw you leave to Walgreens with zero urgency on returning back to the sick animals. I heard laughter and conversation behind closed doors that had nothing to do with sick pets. I think one was about someone's cousin and skiing. The nurse asked how my Yorkie was doing around 3PM. I'm thinking you mean when I was in the lobby waiting? By then it was too late. The nurse said my Yorkie was probably not going to make it thru the night. I should have gone elsewhere. read more

I brought my cat in today because he is profusely drooling, unable to meow, and acting extremely off. I was up front that I had about $300 to initially spend, without calling in another credit card. I was immediately told it would be $125 just to see the vet. They took my cat back and checked his vitals. Upon the doctor hearing that I had a financial limit (never once did I say $300 was ALL I had, I merely said I'd have to have a card called in if it was to be more), they brought my cat back to me and said they didn't see any immediate danger, and because of my financial restrictions, I should take him to my regular vet tomorrow when they are open. I still don't know why my cat is profusely drooling and now I have to wait for any answers. They care about money, not animals. Don't go here. read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE, SELFISH & MANIPULATIVE VETS!!!! THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT MAKING MONEY & COULD CARE LESS ABOUT ANIMALS. My dog got hit by a car on a 25mph road. She was thrown about 2 feet to the sidewalk and got up and ran back to me. She clearly did not have any external injuries, but we took her to Premier Veterinary Group to make sure she did not have any internal injuries either. They held her inside for about an hour before calling us to ask if we wanted them to do bloodwork. We made it clear that we were concerned about her head and they told us that they do not have CT scans and promptly went back to talking about getting bloodwork done. We asked what the bloodwork would show us and she literally said that as of now she looks healthy, so the bloodwork would show nothing, but in the future if she isn't healthy anymore, then the bloodwork would come in handy. So, we declined the unnecessary bloodwork which seemed to really upset the vet. She then asked if we could go somewhere else because WE seemed uncomfortable with her recommendations....???? WHAT! My dog just got hit by a car and they were trying to send her away because her owner did not want unnecessary blood work? I said I cared more about my dogs health than our disagreement on treatment and I stayed. They kept my dog for another hour doing god knows what???? Then they called me to come get her (knowing that I was waiting in the car in the parking lot 10 seconds away), so I came to the door but they made me wait outside for 15 minutes before coming out to hand me paperwork. I filled out the paperwork and waited another 10 minutes in the cold until they finally brought my dog out to me. They handed me a bill for about $150 and not a single piece of information regarding my dogs health. I asked where all of her paperwork from the visit is and they said they would email it to me. (So they can print out my 2 page bill but they can't print out my dogs vitals?) They did not even have my email on file, so I kindly told them what it was so I could receive my dogs paperwork. They never ended up emailing me any paperwork. Imagine if my dog had a huge fever because something was going on internally and I wouldn't have even known because they were reluctant to give me her paperwork. I had to call them and ask them why I never received paperwork and they said that they did not have the correct email, even though I hand wrote my email on a piece of paper for them. They said that someone must have "typoed" and sent it to the wrong email. However, emails BOUNCE BACK when you send it to an email that doesn't exist. Overall, I found these vets to be extremely unprofessional. They seemed to care more about punishing me for declining unnecessary bloodwork ($$$ to them) than actually providing the care that we asked for, which should be their job. Thank God my dog did not suffer any injuries from the accident, but if she had, Premier Veterinary Group would NOT have HELPED. read more

Brought my dog here on a Saturday around 11am since our normal vet wasnt open. He had chased a fox in our neighborhood the night before and was licking a spot when we woke up. even though he wasnt bleeding or in great pain, we wanted to get him checked out. We waited 2 hours to be seen even though when we checked in they said there was only one person in front of us. Imagine if this was actually an emergency! Once we were seen, they barely looked at him, took him back to shave the area, couldn't find it, brought him back in 10 minutes later and he had purged his anal glands from stress. I located the spot in 0.5 seconds, exactly where I pointed it out to begin with. they shaved the spot with me and my husband holding him, which they should have done from the start. they barely cleaned it and sent us out to the lobby, prescribed antibiotics and an antiinflammatory. the total was nearly $300. We gave the antibiotics later that night, and it seemed like a high dose so I googled the manufacturer website, and found out they prescribed DOUBLE what he should get for his weight. We gave him half a pill, but had we not looked this up and just listened to them, he could have been way sick and overdosed. I took him to my normal vet for a checkup 3 days later and she said she can't believe they messed up so badly and that we were right to give him only half. what a disaster. I wouldn't trust them ever again unless it's truly an emergency and even then, I would worry about waiting 2 hours to be seen. might as well make the 45 minute drive to golf rose in Schaumburg instead! read more

As this is an emergency-based facility, I was worried about cost. I mean REALLY worried. I won't go into my pet's private details about the visit, but a sedation, exam, and extraction of sorts only cost about $124.00. I was really happy with the wait time, Practically zero wait. I was handed a clip board to fill out the pet's info and they took a verbal situation report from me and took the pet for exam while I filled out papers. Every one was friendly and the doctor was easy to talk to and answered all my questions. Absolutely cannot ask for anything more. Thank you. read more

After this weekend I would NEVER recommend these folks to anyone. After telling us our puppy needed emergency treatment for a life threatening virus, they presented a bill that was over $1600. When I didn't pass their credit check, they gave us a new estimate for $486, which didn't include hospitalization. I offered a number of forms of alternate payment arrangements, but it's either their terms or "hope your pet survives until Monday". After (luckily) making it through the weekend our normal vet looked at the estimates they gave us and appologized for referring us there, and immediately admitted our puppy with arrangements we could afford and the right care for our dog. read more

My husband and I have spent many late nights visiting AETC. We have two blk lab/shep mix girls that are 4 1/2 years old. We have been in for everything from pancreatitis to a cut eye brow and tick removal to name a few. The staff at AETC has always been amazing. Very professional and willing to answer any and all questions we have. I have called them many times also when I have questions about skunk sprays to them just acting odd. The staff has always answered my questions and only had us come in if it was an absolute emergency. We always go to them when the vet is closed because we trust them and know they will treat our girls like family. read more

This place will take you for all you're worth, requesting money upfront or opening a credit card to cover the fees if you don't have it. Rude, terrible bedside manners. I was hung up on while trying to understand my options after initial visit. Don't go here if you value your money. Took our dog there in an emergency situation, was asked 4 times if the shots were current, only option was to run a banter of expensive tests rather than saying our dog was dying. Couldn't tell us exactly what the tests would cost. Went to a vet in Buffalo Grove and the doctor simply said there is no hope, it is best to euthanize. This review is long overdue. Our incident happened at the beginning of boating season and I apologize for not posting sooner! This place literally saved our puppy. Not only were they able to help discuss our emergency over the phone at 10 pm at night, they were also very willing to answer the questions my husband and I both had regarding our puppy ingesting very harmful medication that he managed to get into, even with a child safety bottle cap IN a zippered bag. We brought our puppy in at 1 am, and they were very respectful of all of his needs. He doesn't like to be squished or feel claustrophobic, and has been known to express himself because of being scared. The Veterinary Assistant got down on the floor, played with him a bit and made all 3 of us feel at ease. The vet was wonderful at explaining the situation, and were willing to show me where he would be staying at the hospital since this would be my first trip to an Animal Hospital in the U.S. My favorite was that they promised to call us with the results as soon as they knew. I didn't care if it would be 2 am, just as long as I knew we had made the right decision! Without them, our boy would definitely not be around because the results showed that he had ingested more acetaminophen, ibuprofen and sinus medication than what we had anticipated. This would have caused stomach ulcers, seizures, heart problems and the list continued ... They didn't seem to mind me calling throughout his stay to find out how he was doing, and even had the veterinarian call us directly if they didn't know the answer as to when he could come home. We feel Animal Emergency & Treatment Center deserves a 5, but the only thing we felt was lacking, was a follow up call. Granted, our regular veterinarian called to find out how he was, but it would've been nice to have the Hospital that treated him follow up also. We definitely recommend this for all animal care. Sit in their waiting room for a few minutes and I'm sure you'll feel at ease about the care they provide to all four legged family members! read more

If 0 was available, I would. A place with no compassion, obviously a large organization all about profit. On 12/29/14 in AM, my cat had acute onset of mental status change, projectile vomiting and flaccid right hind leg. I called Premier Veterinary Group and notified I'm bringing my cat in for emergency. My husband and I arrived at approximately at 11:30am. A receptionist ushered us into a room and about 15 minutes later a technician waked in. She merely glanced at my cat, never even touched or took vital signs, told us to wait. We waited, waited and waited. No one bothered to check if my cat was still alive. No one even bothered to inform us how long we should wait for so called "emergency" services. After almost 2 hours of watching my cat in pain, hearing his painful moan in agony and seeing terrified look on his face, my husband went to seek receptionists' attention without success. By 1:30pm we had not seen a single staff and finally had to seek alternative . I took him to Veterinary Specialty Clinic in Buffalo Grove. Difference was day and night. He was taken into ER within minutes with compassionate doctor and nurses. Sadly my cat died. Most probably Premier Vet couldn't save him either. However no one should have to live through such nightmare: watching beloved four-legged friend, companion and "child" in agony and watching him painfully slowly dying because no one cares. It is ironic because to save him I would have gladly paid any price. Nowadays even slaughter houses have more compassion than this so called "veterinary" group. God have mercy on them so they never have to seek emergency care and bag for compassion from healthcare providers. read more

They are the friendliest and most caring veterinary clinic I have ever been to. Unfortunately, the only times I have had to visit them were under sad conditions. Both times they were so helpful, supportive and had so much compassion. The first time we were there was in January. They allowed us to be with our cat, Quincy, to say goodbye and let us stay with her during the process. They gave my husband and I some alone time and asked us if we needed more time before they asked for payment. They also gave us a clay disk with her paw prints and stamped her name above them, which is an option for everyone, but no other veterinarians I've been to offered anything remotely similar in that situation. If you opt to have your beloved pet cremated it comes in a nice package and they're just as friendly when you pick it up at 8:00 at night. The second time, which was tonight, they helped us with a feral kitten that we found at the end of our driveway. We were calling everywhere to get help, but sadly most places won't help feral animals that can't be domesticated. I cannot thank them enough for what they did. I will gladly recommend them to anyone and when I'm ready for another pet they will be my only choice for animal care. read more

I just have to say that these are the most courteous and caring people that I have come across in along time. They allowed us time to grieve in the exam room as we said goodbye to our 14yr old lab. I will never forget the amount of compassion and care that was shown to me and my family during a difficult time. This is our second experience at Premier. The first was a cat who was diagnosed with leukemia and died. Dr. Hintermeister was a great ally in diagnosing and treating her. They did all they could to care for her. Our last experience was with an emergency condition that looked like lung cancer but after an ultrasound was diagnosed as a severe fungal disease. Again, the expertise and care of the physicians is top notch. The techs are very caring and they communicate really well, inviting visits during hospitalization and calling with updates. Dr. Danner, Dr Bachar and Dr Febvay were all excellent in their care for Sullivan. We are very thankful to have this specialty hospital in Grayslake. read more

The people here were so helpful and compassionate during what turned out to be my pets final hours. My dear cat Desert was having trouble breathing and when she fell over after walking into the room. I immediately took her to my normal vet who said to take her to the ER at Premier. My pet was seen immediately. Within 10 minutes I was presented with a preliminary diagnosis. We decided to run some tests and it turned out she was in heart failure. The prognosis was grim and she was old - 17 yrs. There was no cure and 6 months of a questionable quality of life was the absolute best that could be hoped for. The doctor was very kind and understanding as she helped me work through the options. In the end the doctor and I decided the the kindest thing was to put her to sleep. The brought Desert in wrapped in a soft blanket and gave me as much time as I needed to say goodby to my beloved pet. The vet then put her peacefully to sleep. I was then told to take my time to finish saying goodby and since we had settled the bill before Desert was brought in to just leave when I was ready. There was no need to notify anyone. They also gave me a folder with some wonderful material to help me with my pets passing. I would like to say thankyou to everyone there that helped me through my difficult time. read more

I will never, and I mean NEVER, set foot in this place again. I brought in my german shepherd a few weeks ago because I suspected bloat and it was late at night. She was in some abdominal discomfort and had tried unsuccessfully to vomit twice. Xrays showed she did not have bloat but were otherwise inconclusive. The vet was pleasant enough, ran down a list of possible causes, ranging from a simple tummyache to a perforated intestine (life threatening but the xray did not show it). They wanted to keep her for observation, but I declined, citing financial reasons but to be truthful I've had bad experiences there before and simply didn't want to leave her. It was a good call. The vet convinced me to give her a painkiller, which I agreed to. Shame on me for not asking what exactly they would give her- they doped up my poor dog on morphine and she was an unresponsive vegetable. Overall, we're feeling a bit concerned but relieved she isn't bloating, until the tech comes back with our dog. She says to me, exactly, "Your dog is dying. She is in a lot of pain and she's going to die." She then proceeded to urge me to sign over the rights to my dog so a rescue group could "pay for her surgery then find her a good home." She told me she had a fever of 107. I took and my dog home and she was just fine. I took her temp immediately- 101.7. Clean bill of health from my vet the next day. This horrible woman wanted me to sign over my dog and open her up for a run of the mill upset tummy. It chills me to think how many people she may have bullied into signing over their beloved pets, convincing them they will die. I wish I had gotten her name, all I can recall is she was in her 20s-30s, eastern European accent. Every rescue I know can barely afford to keep their fosters vetted and fed, and this woman was volunteering to pay for thousands of dollars of (unnecessary) surgery? Something stinks. Please, please stay away; find another emergency clinic. read more

After my vet heard an abnormal sound while listening to my dogs heart, it was recommended we get an echo from a cardiologist. Premier was recommended. I asked my vet around how much do those things usually cost and she gave me a guess of $600. Obviously I was taken back by the price and called my MIL who works at another local vet what to do. She gave me additional names in the area but thought I should stick with Premier. I called them and got a quote for what we needed. Today we had our appointment and it was a very great experience. The front office staff was warm and welcoming. The lobby was clean and comfortable. We went into a room and a 4th year vet student came in, examined my dog, explained in great detail what was going to happen and how long it would take and then went over pricing again. He took my dog and I went in the lobby while they did the tests. He came out, handed my dog back and explained the doctor would be out to discuss results. The doctor came out and explained the results with excellent "bedside manner". I came here to leave a review and read a lot of bad reviews. It's a medical facility and even more an actual ER. Medicine costs a lot of money. Next time you're in the ER ask how much each thing they do costs. We don't care because humans have health insurance and we pay later but it does make sense. Also, someone left a photo of their bill from 1/209 in a review. We had the same services (minus like one) done a year later and paid the same thing so they aren't scamming you. They have set prices just like anywhere else. Believe me, when I found out how much it would be I lost sleep wondering how I was going to pay for it a week after paying $450 for a wellness exam and honestly I'm still not sure but I don't blame the staff and doctors. I heard that their price was one of the lowest for the echo actually. Also, I knew ahead of time. If I had to take my dog in at 1AM I understand you wouldn't know what to expect and would be probably shocked at the bill too but your emotions are heightened at that moment which adds to the anger. I am very thankful for the care and kindness we received from Premier over the weekend. They are open 24 hours 365 days a year. Our pets, like humans, can get really sick on a Sunday and need care then. Glad they are there. It does cost more than your regular vet but I understand. They have to pay doctors and staff to work overnights and weekends which costs more. All of the staff was kind and professional. They called when they said they would. It was very hard for me to leave my cat there but I knew she was in good hands. Literally, Premier being open on Sunday saved her life. Thank you!!!!!! read more

Wonderful, caring staff. They were quick to diagnose the problem with my dog. Since we're not allowed in, they called often with updates and the nurse stood outside in the cold to teach me about the medications and home care. I could tell they really love animals and wouldn't hesitate to bring our dogs back. read more

This place felt very welcoming from the receptionist to the nurse to the doctor. They took their time listening to the problem and asked all the right questions. The diagnosis was spot on and treated my dog and gave post-treatment care recommendations. My dog is feeling 100x better. A little pricey but it is an emergency place. I took my dog here, because I had no choice at 12A in the morning. I had them do the X-Ray, which I am thankful for. Had learned that my dog's stomach had flipped. I was told at that time, that the surgery would cost $6K. While I am understanding that the nature of my visit was an emergency--and I know that it was an emotional time, it felt like my Dog was more of a dollar sign than anything. I know that her condition was fatal; however did not appreciate being put in a position where I'm asked 'How much are you willing to spend?' in order to save my dog's life. My dog is not a car. While the vet did she say she 'knows people' that could help, I didn't know prognosis, I wasn't informed of the probability of my dog surviving, nor was I made aware of the recovery time, or chances her condition would return after the surgery. I didn't know any of that until I got home and was able to GOOGLE research the condition that she had. Perhaps it was my role to ask questions. However, when you're in that position, you're not thinking of questions to ask. You can't think straight. It is the role of the doctor to outline all of the possibilities. I feel like I had very little information to go on, and while I know emotions were running high, I didn't feel like even by the vet's body language, there was much compassion there. Losing a pet is never easy, and I'm understanding that sometimes in order for someone to cope with the job that they do--they have to turn some element of emotion off. However, that did not offer me, or my family comfort. Nor did it make me feel like the decision I had to make was the right one. I ended up having to put her down, which i know was my decision to make. However, I don't really feel like the doctor cared about the information, AND to mirror a review from 2018 the doctor 'tended to give little to no information on what was actually wrong' with my dog. read more

After my cat was acting very unusual, scared of my family, drooling from the mouth, not eating or drinking, we needed to take him to an animal hospital immediately. After calling multiple different animal hospitals we found premier and they took us in. At first we were so grateful that we could take Walter in because we were obviously scared something was seriously wrong. Right when we got to the hospital they took walter away and my mom and I sat in the room for around 4 hours just waiting to see what was wrong. After 4 hours they come back and told us that he has an enlarged heart, but nothing to worry about. Only thing that they thought was weird was his lungs. They told us to go home and he would be okay. Walter was then okay for about a week and a half, but then next thing we know, walter cannot walk, cannot breathe, isn't drinking or eating. We then took him to the Crystal Lake animal hospital where they then told us that Walter was going in to congested heart failure. If premier would have been more diligent in looking in to the fact that walters heart was enlarged, he could still be here right now. Do not go to this place. I wish everyday that we would have gone somewhere else where they could have looked in to more detail about an enlarged heart, but now it's too late. My family and I are devastated and will never be coming back to this place again. read more

I brought my little 9 pound dog in at 1am because she was having cluster seizures and it was very scary. Because of COVID I could not go into the clinic but pulled up called the number on the sign, they new I was coming because I called ahead of time. My dog was having seizures as soon as I arrived, the vet assistant and receptionist ran out and took her in right away and began working on her immediately. The vet called a few times to tell me what happened, how she was going to treat her and what to expect step by step. It was expensive yes, but for all that they did to save my little dog was priceless. I recommend this clinic 100%, and I am grateful for there attention and care for not only my dog but by reassuring me she was going to be ok.
