Here is the honest review on our recent purchase from this dealership. The review is based on the expectations of buying a used vehicle not new. Overall we are happy with the purchase, but things did not go perfectly as you would expect if you purchased the vehicle new. Also, we drove up from San Jose (100 miles) to purchase this vehicle. I'll list the goods and then the problems I encountered. Good - Price - the price on this car from this dealership was significantly lower that comparable vehicles listed on cars.com. Car came clean and detailed (minor importance, but still nice). Car came with new tires (more on that in the below). Dealer offers 3months/3K warranty on the purchase. This is pretty good to give you a piece of mind when purchasing a used car. Engine/Battery - having over 100K miles on this car, compared to our other 2021 Rav4 Hybrid with 35K, I noticed that the power from the battery is not as good. But looking at the MPG stats, they are close. I'm getting 40.5MPG on my newer car and 40.0MPG on this car. The engine is also not as smooth sounding as our newer Rav4 (expected from the miles difference). Problems. 1) Tires - the new tires that were installed were cheap tires that I saw from Amazon, could not find these tires on Tirerack or Costco. We ended up replacing these tires with Michelins. The Michelins did make the car ride a lot smoother. This is not necessarily bad, but it was our preference. If I had a choice, I would just leave the old tires on there if it was usable, or replace the tires with better brand tires. 2) Car would not start the next day with the "Hybrid System Stopped" "Take back to dealer" error messages. This could have been a huge issue. I was able to search on Google for this error message from 2020 Rav4 Hybrids and found some info on the cause could be from a dead 12V battery. Sure enough, I opened the batter compartment, and the battery was indeed bad, with dried leaked battery acid all over the compartment. I also saw the cap over the battery leads lifted, telling me that this car has been recharged or jumped. Luckily for us, this problem turned up the next day at home, and not the 100 mile drive back to San Jose. I went and purchased a new battery from a car parts store, cleaned up the battery acid and the car works fine again. Summary, we are happy with the purchase, the car itself is great (Toyotas usually are if not abused). But buying a used car, you should be wary of hidden issues and deal with them if they come up.

Test drove the car I was looking at on Monday! Fell in love with it. Went on Friday to purchase it and even though it was a process (not their fault) they worked with me to be able to take it home that day. They were very patient and understanding. I would buy from them again.

5-Star Review for Hayes Auto Sales in Roseville, CA I…read morerecently purchased a Ram Eco-Diesel truck from Hayes Auto Sales in Roseville and couldn't be happier with the entire experience. My wife Teresa and I had been searching nationwide for the exact color and interior configuration we wanted, and Hayes had it. On Sunday, July 5, 2026, I found the truck. We drove up from Monterey on Monday, July 6, 2026, and while the truck wasn't quite ready when we arrived, the team handled everything with complete professionalism and transparency. General Sales Manager Murray Shane, along with salesmen Clint and Ronnie, were outstanding. They were upfront about the minor issues that needed to be addressed and assured us that the owner (John) wanted the truck sold correctly without any problems. True to their word, they gave us first refusal at the quoted price. On the following Friday, July 10, 2026, they called to let us know the truck was ready -- with a complete set of new tires installed and the issue fully resolved. The finance team was equally impressive. Jeff handled the initial paperwork on our first visit, and Jori was there to finish the paperwork. Jori and Murray stayed late (they kept the dealership open an extra hour) when we drove back up from Monterey to finalize everything. Their flexibility and dedication went above and beyond what we expected. What made this visit even more special is that I actually knew Murray Shane from 32 years ago -- we had worked together briefly back then. I had no idea he was at Hayes when I first walked in, so it was a wonderful surprise to reconnect after all that time. It really is a small world, and it was great catching up with someone from so long ago. Murray was incredibly accommodating and made the whole process feel personal and trustworthy. I highly recommend Hayes Auto Sales to anyone looking for a vehicle. The team's professionalism, honesty, and customer-first approach stand out in the auto sales world. Clint, Ronnie, Murray, Jeff, Jori, and the rest of the crew truly delivered an excellent experience from start to finish. We'll definitely be back in the future and will be sending friends and family their way. Thank you, Hayes Auto Sales!

Disappointing experience at Hayes Auto Sales in Roseville. Our salesman, Ronnie, was friendly, but…read moreunfortunately he was not very knowledgeable about the vehicles and it felt like the main priority was making the sale rather than making sure we were taken care of. During our test drive of an Acura, a sensor warning came on. Ronnie noticed it, tried looking into it, but couldn't figure out the issue. I assumed it would be fixed before we purchased the vehicle, but that was not the case. After completing the paperwork, the warning was still there. We were told cleaning the sensor should fix it, but when we got home we discovered the sensor was actually missing. We had to fight with the owner, John Hayes, to replace a part that should have never been missing when the vehicle was sold to us. Buying a car is a major purchase, and customers deserve honesty, attention to detail, and a safe, reliable vehicle. Make sure you thoroughly inspect anything you buy here before leaving the lot. There are better deals and better customer service experiences elsewhere. The only positive part of our visit was Clint, the kind older gentleman at the front who was genuinely helpful and friendly.

Service 5 Stars + Sales interactions 0 stars = 3 Stars for experience…read more On my fourth 4Runner and fifth Toyota over the past 35 years. Even though I live out of the area, my most reliable and trusted service experience has consistently been with Roseville Toyota. That's exactly why I coordinate my maintenance around trips to the area. Kerry S. has been my service advisor many times, and I always appreciate his straightforward, practical advice - telling me exactly what makes the most sense. I'm truly grateful for the excellent care I receive here. While my service experience has been truly exceptional, I would NEVER purchase a vehicle here based on my interactions and observations of the sales team. Car sales traditionally carries a stigma, but the conversations and interactions I've experienced and overheard here represent the worst of the worst. Being present for extended periods of time during service visits over the years, and with what I call a carefully tuned gift of situational awareness only confirmed this conclusion. Its big corporate numbers game here only, and not worthy of any loyalty.

"Predatory practices and financial destruction of new immigrants. Avoid at all costs."…read more I am writing this to warn anyone, especially newcomers to this country, about how this dealership operates. A little over two years ago, I came here under immense life pressure, working 15-hour days to support my family and two children. My car had broken down, and I needed a reliable tool for my delivery work. I trusted this place. That was my biggest mistake. A salesman named Roman (who used our shared cultural background to gain my trust) completely took advantage of my situation. They used classic exhausting tactics, keeping me there until late evening until I was mentally drained. A salesman named Roman (who used our shared cultural background to gain my trust) completely took advantage of my situation. They used classic exhausting tactics, keeping me there until late evening until I was mentally drained. Here are the facts of how they ruined my family financially: * They sold me a 2015 Prius for a heavily inflated price, way above its actual market value, even after claiming they gave me a "discount" * They packed the contract with thousands of dollars in useless add-ons and hidden fees (like Perma Plate) without transparent explanations. * They trapped me in an astronomical, predatory interest rate of nearly 27,99% APR, knowing well that I was in a vulnerable position. Because they inflated the price so badly from day one, I became deeply "underwater" on the loan instantly, making it impossible to refinance. Today, I still owe $14,500 on a car that is worth barely $5,000. For over two years, my family has been on the brink of survival just to pay off this blood-money contract. To the management of Roseville Toyota: I have kept every single piece of paperwork and financial statement. I am not letting this go. Along with launching a local media consumer rights investigation, I am filing official complaints with the California DMV Investigations Division, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), and the California Attorney General regarding your deceptive and predatory lending practices. See you in the headlines and with the regulators.

All we did was went asked for the vehicle they bring it up and let you test drive it. Also not to mention a lot of the reviews will say car broke down days after well triple crown is one dealer that lets you take the car for a test drive and inspection. I took the vehicle to get inspected at a trust shop I've been going to for years and once everything checked out we went straight to purchase super smooth transaction and just like that purchased a great vehicle. (Please note cars are sold as is so I would highly recommend taking it in for an inspection considering this dealer allows that which is awesome in my opinion. A lot of dealers won't allow you to take the car for inspections without you providing the entire inspection back to them) Since we purchased the car we have driving it 4000 miles and made 4 long road trips the car has been great!

Buyer Beware: Sold Me an Unsafe 2010 Prius and Offered Little to No Help:…read more I recently bought a 2010 Prius from Triple Crown Motors, and it was one of the worst car-buying experiences I've ever had. From the start, everything seemed fine during the sale, but as soon as I drove it off the lot, I noticed a concerning knocking sound. I took it straight to a Toyota dealership for a check, and they told me the rack and pinion and intermediate steering shaft were shot--not safe to drive at all. The repair estimate? A whopping $2,900. This is a major safety issue that should've been caught during their pre-sale inspection, but apparently, that's not how they operate. I reached out to "Tony", the sales manager, hoping for some goodwill. I wasn't asking for a handout--I just wanted them to chip in a bit since this was a hidden problem that put me at risk. I even emphasized that it was a safety concern and should have been disclosed. Tony's response? Flat-out no help whatsoever. He said they'd only look at it if I drove it back to them, which is insane because the car was deemed unsafe! When I asked if they'd cover a tow, he shut that down too. And when I politely requested his full name or email for further discussion, he got defensive and said, "Tony is all you need to know," then ended the conversation abruptly. This level of customer service is unacceptable. Triple Crown Motors clearly doesn't stand behind their vehicles or care about their customers' safety. I feel completely ripped off, and now I'm out of pocket for a car that's basically undriveable. Save yourself the headache and avoid this place--do your research elsewhere. Triple Crown might have deals, but at what cost? Not worth the risk.
