AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! My daughter saved her own money and was excited to buy her first car. We did our research and chose a Jetta TDI because it's known to be reliable if the required maintenance has been done. We were told that maintenance was completed and were shown receipts. We trusted that information -- a mistake we now regret. Within a few months, the car was in the shop with major mechanical issues costing over $4,000 to repair. These issues were not new; they had clearly been hidden by clearing trouble codes prior to the sale. That's dishonest and deceptive, plain and simple. Taking advantage of a young woman buying her first car is lower than low. They are not interested in honesty or return customers-- they only care about profit. My experience with the family owned dealership was perfect! I really wanted a specific model, color and luxury trim package on a Toyota Camry with low miles. I was having a hard time finding my "unicorn". Finally, I did find it... but it was 450 miles away! Told me he didn't have a car fax (told my buddy the same thing) and then magically produced one once I gave him my evidence. I offered him over $2k what the highest kbb price was and he still acted like I was giving him pennies. Let's be honest; cash talks; so do reasonable offers. My son and I drove an hour and half to get a car we had a Credit Union loan to cover the entire purchase. Prior to leaving our town, we called twice, once to make sure the vehicle was there. Second to make sure they would work with our CU loan. Both questions were affirmed by the dealership. We get there, test drive the car, look it over in totality, decide to purchase. I haggled a bit and we came up with an offer he accepted. Told him we would take the vehicle home today. after he makes multiple phone calls to whoever Franco is, he tells me he needs a thousand dollar check. I don't do a checking account anymore. He then asks for a debit and credit card. I say no as I have the cost of the vehicle, and then some, covered with a loan through a reputable CU. He doesn't trust the CU or me apparently and I could do the paperwork and pick up the vehicle whenever the bank pays him. I told him I called before I came to confirm use of my CU loan and he said he would honor it, he did not! My credit union told me to run, and we did! Shady shit! WOULD NEVER GO BACK!!!! read more

I went there a few days ago to look at a Volvo S40 T5 they had for sale. I called and asked them to show me the car at noon. When I got there, the car was prepped and ready for a test drive, which was really nice. Then we learned that the person showing us the car was the only one there that day, and was getting swamped with people coming in. He let me and my friend take it for a test drive to get a feel for the car. I ended up passing on it, but it was all a pretty fluid experience. Trust me when I say that I actually have some experience when it comes to purchasing a car. I've helped family members look & buy cars, as well as purchasing2 cars myself. So when I say that this was the worst experience by far that I've had, I am not exaggerating. I am solely speaking about their customer service skills. When we first walked into the lot, they were nice but seemed really desperate to sell something, anything. We were going to walk away but then he showed my sister something she liked. We test drove it and decided to try & go for it. So things were fine at first, but the quality of the car's interior was not worth what they were asking. So we asked them if we could negotiate the total price on the car. That's when a flip switched. The owner of the lot, ended up getting annoyed (because we asked a few questions) and basically tried kicking us out. He started being aggressive & clearly upset. We walked off because that was absurd! You think he would realize he is in a business where most people want to talk about negotiating. I was completely shocked at how he handled everything. There's more that happened but I don't have the time to get into details. Worst experience ever! Oh & he basically gave us the impression that no one was going to give my sister a car because she was a first time buyer. Ha! I went to this dealership to purchase a 2009 VW Beetle.. We worked out a deal and took it home (200 miles away) The next day the EPC light comes on so I had my fiance take it to the local VW dealership to find out what the problem was. Come to find out that it had some major safety issues. First one was that the power would cut down, this did it at 55 mph. The second one was that the crank sensor was going out and it had a bad battery. The third thing was that I noticed the tail lights fluttering. Come to find out they installed the wrong bulbs and the sockets were corroded. The last thing was the clutch pedal, you had to push it all the way to the floor to get the car to start which was a problem. Total amount of repairs was going to cost $1500. We contacted the dealer (Frank) and told him what the issues were and that we wanted them fixed because it was an unsafe and I wouldn't let my fiance drive it, and I wanted my mechanic to fix it because I didn't want to drive the 200 miles to take it back to the dealership in case it broke down along the way (most of the trip on I-5 from Santa Nella to Sacramento and over the pass between Santa Nella and Gilroy). Frank told us that we can either bring the car back to him and he would throw $500 dollars in it to get it fixed or we can return the car. I was furious because they had told us that it was perfect. Doing some investigation of my own. I found out that the car spent most of its life in the bay area near the ocean and that caused the corrosion. We ended up taking the car back because I didn't trust Frank to fix it right since he has an onsite mechanic and I wanted to use my master mechanic from VW. When we got there Frank wasn't there and Eddie greeted us when we got there. Both Frank and Eddie had made statements that these issues were caused the day after we drove it home. I have been working on cars since I was 5 years old.....please, they weren't fooling me. Frank tried to convince me to let him fix the car and give it back to me. This was after we had called them and he said that he can throw $500 dollars into it and sell it to someone else. So doing another 200 mile drive wasn't going to happen. I have bought a used car from another dealership and it was perfect from the get go.
