If I could give this company 10 stars, I would. I hired Premium Drainage to correct a drainage issue that was caused by a previous landscaping installation. My sump pump discharged a significant amount of water, which created ice on the street during the winter and damaged my lawn. I also asked them to address a small uneven area around my sprinkler system. The team explained that they would regrade the area, use my existing soil, and plant grass seed, which I was completely comfortable with. They completed the entire project in just one day. At the end of the day, they sent photos of the finished work to the owner. Although I thought everything looked great, the owner wasn't satisfied with the appearance of the hay covering the newly seeded area. Even though installing sod was outside the original scope of work and would have been a much more expensive solution, he decided to go above and beyond. The very next day, he sent his crew back with fresh topsoil and sod at no additional cost. They added topsoil around my home to improve the grading and ensure water would drain away from the foundation. They even moved my stacked firewood, added topsoil underneath it, and carefully put everything back in place. When they finished, they watered all of the new sod, adjusted my sprinkler heads to ensure proper coverage, and thoroughly cleaned up the work area. My yard honestly looks better now than it did before they started. Premium Drainage was not the cheapest quote I received, but they were also not the most expensive. What set them apart was their professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to doing the job right. I am very satisfied with the work Premium Drainage & Erosion Solutions LLC performed on our house in Reston, VA. They extended and buried our downspouts, replaced our front porch steps, replaced our back porch stairs, built a walkway on the side of the house, added gravel and a retaining wall below our back porch, and built a patio in the back of the house. From start to finish, they communicated well, were responsive, and involved us in the process. The owner, Adrian, came out for the estimate and he was very knowledgeable. He went over the various options and showed us example pictures of similar projects he had completed which all looked beautiful. One day later we received a very detailed 10+ page proposal, with broken out line items, materials used, and example pictures. This was critical for our approval process with Reston Association and allowed us to pick and choose the items we wanted. Pricing was competitive, not the cheapest, not the most expensive either. Scheduling and payment were easy. On the first day, Adrian came out again to kick off the project and introduced his foreman Jose who was our point of contact from start to finish. Jose and his crew were respectful of our property and the neighbors, friendly, unobtrusive and didn't smoke which was much appreciated. We hired Premium Drainage to do regrading and assist with our water issues around our property and they did an excellent job! Out of all the estimates we got, Adrian seemed to be the most detail-oriented, measuring and surveying the property during that first visit to give us appropriate solutions. We negotiated the project and his crew was able to start within a few days. They installed several extensions of downspouts, AC condensers and the sump pump line. They also regraded several parts of the yard that seemed to pool during heavy rains. Adrian installed a french drain to carry the water from my backyard to the drain located 100 feet or so away in the front yard. Bottom line, out of a handful of companies I reached out to, Premium Drainage was FAR AND AWAY the ABSOLUTE BEST when it came down to analyzing my situation, taking thorough measurements, creating a complete solution, and was still the lowest quote I received! They were champs during the execution phase, working in the searing heat all day, digging up massive stones during the trenching phase. The after pictures speak for themselves. These were taken just minutes after a heavy rainfall. The only wet spots left are due to pockets of low ground that I still need to level out at a later date. The long story... We purchased a house in Virginia and after the first time it rained we noticed massive amounts of standing water in the backyard that took several days to evaporate. There was nowhere for it to go! Previous owners didn't disclose this so we were caught off guard. I called several companies and received mixed results. Some came, eyeballed it for five minutes, emailed me a quote a few days later. One wanted to put an in-ground storage system in six feet down and charge me three times what a french drain would cost. One said I didn't have enough drop to carry the water away and declined the job. Only Adrian came out, took detailed measurements of my property, used surveying equipment to ensure there was enough drop, answered all my questions right there on the spot, and had my quote, the lowest quote, in my in-box the very next day. I can't say enough good things about this company. First, Adrian the owner came to my house 3 times to provide me with information and estimates. I couldn't make up my mind on the exact project. He was very patient and helpful and always on time!Second, he wrote multiple detailed estimates which I greatly appreciated. I interviewed 9 contractors and it was very difficult to get them to provide an estimate in a timely fashion let alone one at all. Not this company. You can expect it in 24-48 hours. Next, the company is super responsive to emails. Even ones after working ours. They also call you back in a short period of time. These seem like simple things, but it's just not the case with most contractors. Next, we had a major flooding issue in our yard. The team installed a French drain, connected all our down spouts and our sump pump underground. They ran the drains out front on both sides of our house and into the street. The three man crew that did the work crushed it! They worked so hard it was amazing. They had to dig all the trenches by hand bc there was not enough room for a machine to access our backyard. I have hired Adrian's company based on a referal from one of our neighbours. While I was quoted before for the drainage system, the quote from Premium Drainage was extremely detailed and broken down by phases. While the total amount was more than orginally budgeted for, we worked with them to get more favorable terms. We managed to accomplish all phases which included 55ft linear french drain, building a drywell to include a sump pump and 4-50gal. barrells, burrying two of the main downsputs, and connect them underground to the drainage system, completely tearing apart the front path, regrade, and replace pavers. Additionally, the final phase was including fixing erossion issues in the backyard, regrading, and building a winding path. Our family is finally happy we no longer have standing water and a mudpit. I hope you don't have water issues. Really. It's the worst. However, if you do, get Adrian and Premium Drainage & Erosion to at MINIMUM come talk to you and give you a quote. Adrian and his entire team were fantastic from start to finish. He came out two or three times because of flooding we had with different rains so he could see the issues first hand. They drafted several quotes for us each time they came out - all of which were very detailed with the work that would be done and why - and we were able to pick and choose which work we wanted to move forward with. Adrian was also the only person who told us, very plainly, that no one can guarantee there will no longer be water problems because, as he said, water will find a way. And he was right. (We went with another contractor previously who knew, for sure, what the fix was... and it wasn't.) Adrian's team was amazing. The work they accomplished in four (very long) days blew my family away - regrading the entire yard (which included removing two old flower beds with tree stumps in them), installing downspout and sump pump extensions, moving everything towards the storm drain, moving azaleas, and seeding/covering most of the yard. It was incredible. We're now 12 days past the work and the grass is starting to come in. We have only had small rains since the work but it looks to be doing what we needed. Only time will tell. We had a great experience with Premium Drainage. When we fixed an issue related to our sump pump earlier this year we started pumping out more water than our discharge area could handle, turning our front yard into a muddy mess. They said it would take two days but when they heard about several days of rain in the forecast I think they brought extra workers to complete the work in a single day! Way too expensive as a small and new company. Feels like they are trying to rip me off. Adding more details to justify my review: I would like to replace a small vinyl section with brick section to fix a water leak issue. The area is less than 8 sqft. They came to the property. I was busy so they met my wife. They promised to send the quote in 2 days. However, it took them a week to send their quote. The quote is $7,000 for this job. The quote only has a couple sentenses, without pictures or designs. I don't understand the cause of this. A simple quote can take them a week to prepare. With this much money, the quote is just as simple as a couple of sentences. Also, how to justify the price? The job scope is single day for two men at max. If you pay $1,000 for one person, the whole job will take $2,000 at max. I had other two business quote me $4,000. Even this is $3,000 dollar less than their price. At the end, I was able to find another experienced business. They pinpointed the issue and getting it done costing $800. This is $6,200 difference! It gave me a feeling that Premium Drainage thought my wife didn't understand the market so they tried to get a big bite from her. I also know some business looked up your property value through Zillow and give your estimate based on your house value. Basically, if you have a big house, those businees will charge you more. I personally am not a fan of this kind business. I prefer a transparent, fare, and honest business. $7,000 is a big price. It can replace my fence twice, remodel my basement once and paint the whole house once with $2,000 left. At this business, I can only spend this amount to build a couple of bricks. read more

it has been almost two months and a good number of heavy deluges and I wanted to update my review of the work that Premium Drainage did. In the past, after the last 2 months of heavy rains, we would not have been able to walk across our back yard. It would have been full of ruts caused by the lawn care equipment. The yard would have been so soft that even the small mowers would put ruts in the yard. There were many times in the past where we would have to ask the mowers not to cut our back yard because it was so mushy. Now however, the yard is firm. The lawn is looking great. The grass is already looking much healthier. There was one area where the grass was not growing well over a drain and Premium Drainage came out and fixed it without any pushback. Our only regret was we waited so long to get this work done. We could not be happier with the work and service that Premium Drainage has done for us. Adrian and his team are great! I decided to level a portion of my backyard to make it a more usable space, but when I started getting quotes I realized that it was quite an expensive job. Adrian gave me a very good estimate for the work, and he also recommended running drain lines from all the downspouts down to the back fence to make sure the leveled area wouldn't get carved up from downspout drainage during rain storms. I had a big issue with water pooling in the corner of my yard about 6-8 inches deep in some areas. Problem started occurring after we had some concrete work done which trapped the water. They came and assessed and proposed a solution. I had estimates from multiple companies and their prices were pretty comparable to others, but I thought I'd go with them because their solution was most appealing. I got scheduled for the work and it was about a month out but I requested an earlier date if one opened up. Luckily it did and they were able to schedule the work about 2 weeks out. The date rolled around and they showed up in the morning. I spoke to Adrian and we confirmed the plan for the project. It took 2 days to complete the work...which was not a small job. They did an absolutely amazing job. Certainly, they addressed the drainage issue, which was the primary objective for the work, but everything else they did was definitely above and beyond. They took the dirt from the excavation to address drainage issues in other parts of my yard to channel the water flow to the drainage system they installed. They also left the areas they excavated flawless with either the original sod or straws with grass seeds. They tested out the drainage of the drains and showed me its performance once they were done. Usually if I have work done from contractors, there's always some cleanup that me and my wife need to do. Not this time. They left everything clean and pristine and nothing needed to done.
