The almond wood burns nicely now ( December 2020) was bought and delivered ends of Feb 2020 it was green, so we couldn't use it. I contacted Gary who offered to compensate me next season,which I thought it was an honest and noble thing to do. I contacted Gary for new delivery lately, apparently his compensation meant he would drop $50 from the cord price . ( $435 ) this time. I didnt appreciate that, for selling me a cord of green wood in Feb. for which I paid $500 and could not use he is expecting me to pay regular price but $ 50 So I am compensated $50 for his faulce advertisement claiming to sell me Seasoned wood. It is 7:15 Am, in the condos I live in they are throwing wood into their truck piece by piece making a loud banging noise with each piece of wood they throw. I went out and told them our condos have noise curfew from 10pm to 8am and with it being summer and everyone's windows are open people are trying to sleep. They were so rude they ignored me and then finally said, "If you do not like it, call my boss." So I called and got voicemail. Wow, all with the name and number of their company on the truck. If you like to do business with surly and rude people, this would be the company to seek out. read more

Another wood delivery. We stacked it ourselves. But the wood is great hard seasoned wood. We should have enough for the winter and then some. Try to schedule your wood delivery earlier than later (we waited a bit too long this year) thankfully they were still at to accommodate us. Return customers speak volumes! read more

Kosich Firewood is great. Scheduling was easy and convenient. Gary arrived exactly when he said would, promised me a high quality load and it is. He was upfront that the wood had been rained on last week. As long as it's been seasoned properly it does not matter, it will dry out in a day or two. This was an actual cord. I asked for a mix of oak and almond wood. Kosich only had oak. 1/4 of a cord of oak was delivered. Due to health reasons, I had to hire someone to stack the wood since Kosich was unable to stack it due to being short staffed. After Gary left, I immediately noticed that the wood was cut too thick. I tried for five nights to have a fire. It was a constant battle to get the firewood to light and stay lit. I used both kindling, Duraflame Fire Start and Duraflame Flatwood. It didn't matter. The wood would eventually start to burn and then smolder. Frustrating! I purchased boxes of wood at the grocery store a few times and it was easy to start and the flame lasted until the wood was ashes. Which confirmed that the oak wood from Kosich was probably wet and they did not give the wood enough time to dry out before it was sold. I called Gary. We discussed options and he suggested I leave it uncovered so it could get air. (I think what he really meant was so the wood could dry out) Luckily the wood was purchased and delivered in early November before the rain season started. I did what Gary suggested and let the wood be in the open air. After it was in the open air for 3-4 days, I attempted to have another fire. I attempted this for four more nights. Another frustrating battle --again and again. I called Gary. He said (in an irritated voice) that he would pick the wood up where he left it, in my driveway and refund my money. Which meant I'd have to pay someone again to move the wood from my side yard to my driveway. Gary also said he'd refund me $100 if I kept the wood and let it air out until next season. (Again, I'm pretty sure he meant dry out). I decided to keep the wood since it would be a hassle to hire someone to move it to my driveway. I received the refund within a matter of days. I called Bear Bottom Farms in Richmond the business I ordered wood from in 2017. The woman who I spoke to said one, she couldn't believe that Kosich even had oak wood since nobody has it, and two, oak wood needs to be cut thinly because it's a dense wood. I ordered a 1/4 cord of almond and cherry wood from Bear Bottom. I've had fires many nights with no complications or battles. The wood burns great. I'll stick with Bear Bottoms Farms. read more

This place should be called Kosich Green, Wet, and Nonflammable Firewood. The wood delivered is so wet I had to use my gas starters at full force to get the wood to burn - or should I say, start smoking profusely. I called Gary and his response was - throw a tarp over them and they should eventually dry out. Thanks, Gary. Zero customer service. I'm glad others here on Yelp had some success but I got screwed. We had a good experience with these guys for a firewood delivery. We have never had firewood delivered before, so I was astonished at the price. Given it is the middle of winter and is dipping into the 20s, that comes with the territory. My husband called on a Thursday afternoon and the wood was delivered on Saturday afternoon. Had used them before and really liked them. This time when we talked on the phone to schedule the delivery, we had decided on a day a week out. When I reached out a day before delivery, he had no recollection to the delivery and told me he was all booked, no apology, no nothing. Great service and wood quality. I called them without leaving a message and submitted the Web site form on Saturday and got both a call back and an email on Sunday from two different people. Scheduled the delivery for the next day. Gary arrived within the scheduled time window. We got slightly more than the 1/2 cord we ordered and paid for, a mix of pine and almond. The same week, we were able to use our fireplace on a cool and rainy day, using the wood we got from Kosich. It burned well, without much smoke, so it was already well-seasoned when we got it. The heat produced by both the pine and almond wood was good, the pine crackled nicely and smelled good. Not cheap, but the service, fast and convenient delivery, wood quality and delivered amount are worth it. read more

They were great to deal with but the wood was clearly not seasoned and soaked. I dried it out in my garage for a couple weeks but it is still next to impossible to get a fire to start, wood burns smokey and smolders. The worst part is that I sent an email into them to complain, see if I was missing something, etc and after 3 weeks I have no response.
