Stopped in to visit this black woman-owned sneaker boutique the only one in the United States, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. The boutique was located in a vibrant part of town, and upon entering, I was immediately struck by the unique selection of sneakers on display. The boutique carried a wide range of sneakers, from classic retro styles to limited edition releases. It appears that the owner could have an eye for fashion and a deep passion for sneakers, which was evident in the way she curated her collection. Each pair of sneakers was carefully selected, and the boutique carried styles for both men and women. The customer service was excellent as well. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help. On display here she shows her collection she designed in collaboration with Nike which is a pretty humble flex . I am grateful for the opportunity to support such a wonderful business and hope to see more like it in the future.

I'm currently getting back into fitness and needed some new kicks. Premium goods was recommended by a colleague of mine and so I did some research online and thought wow, their prices are very fair. Made a spontaneous trip out to Rice Village and I was thoroughly surprised.. Location: I haven't been to Rice village in a very long time but parking is charged, before it was only the garage but even in front of the establishment there are meters on each parking spots. We can't spend more money and supporting locals when we have to pay for parking, of course I'm sure this is no fault of the establishment. Also restrooms....No convenient restrooms...I don't think I need to elaborate on that. The store: Oh my, I was pleasantly surprised, loved the ambiance and loved the vibes. The decor is very different of a typical shoe store but I loved the minimal and inviting color theme. Plenty of sitting areas for your significant other and kids. Of course mine is very involved with the shopping but that's always a plus. There were a good variety of shoes, clothes and accessories, very clean and organized. Staff: Evan assisted my fiancé and I very pleasant, friendly and patient with us! Extremely helpful and great attitude. It was pretty busy right after we came in but Evan, Lewis and Jeremy held it down! Kudos to you guys!. I left with 2 pair of shoes and a bag! Overall experience was great, highly recommend and I will definitely be back soon!

I have been a fan of this store for a while but recently I needed to buy shoes for youngest son who just learned to walk. The service that the staff gave my rambunctious boys was outstanding! The sneaker heads would be like "Aw, he got the Velcros" This is the place to go if you're into the hot and hip new shoes and clothes. You see I for one does not fit into that category. I am still wearing clothes I purchased back in high school and college years. However, that's not necessarily a bad thing as things do come in waves. But, I do enjoy window shopping to see what's cool. They have a good variety of clothing that you won't find at any other place in town. read more

I am just stoked that Houston has a sneaker shop. What am I saying, I have been brainwashed by my sneaker head husband. Place - Small, but typical of your store that has the shoes that hard to find, or hot sellers. The set up is nice, cold and urban is what I felt upon entering the shop. Sneaker brands: They carry J's, Nike, Adidas.. just to name a few Price: Average sneaker prices Accessories: They have Nixon watches that are nice, and sports team pompom beanies - love it! Other brands carried that caught my attention: Houston. Stussy. BBC (Billionaire Boys Club), Supreme Service: They were okay with me. I can tell they would be more than willing to help if you are ready to buy something. They were more than happy to get you any shoe sizes if you are interested in a pair of shoes. Loved the sale rack they had, sad that they did not have my size. Brother came away with a Nixon watch, and husband with a Supreme beanie. read more

Great and quality shoes and apparel. The store has a lot of apparel to represent Houston. The customer service is not quality though. The staff member will just look at you and not ask if you need any assistance. They will not look in the back for sizes for you either. Even when your size is not marked off on the tag they'll say they don't have it. I realize you know your inventory, but value me as a customer attempt to find a product for me to purchase. When is the customer expected to harass the employee to spend money. read more

I am the wife of a sneaker aficionado so the bulk of the shoes on my feet he selects. If you are this type of person (or married to this type) then Premium Goods is for you! They have the latest releases that aren't sold world wide. So if you are a collector of sorts, stop by here you won't be sorry. PG is located in Rice Village, next door to Torchy's Tacos. While there is a parking lot right out front, I have never been able to find a parking space in that lot and really prefer to walk anyway. You can ALWAYS park in the garage for a $10 fee (recently increased from $5) OR grab a bite from one of the restaurants in the Village Arcade and have them validate. PG is having a sale this weekend on some of their sneakers. There is a $50 dollar table and a $75 dollar table. And if you CHECK IN on yelp or Google+ there is an offer you can redeem for 3 free stickers!! read more

I used to love this place until one morning I waited in line in for a first come first served drop. Not only did I see staff walking out of the front door with boxes filled with shoes but I ended up being the first one at the counter and was told with a smirk they had already sold out.... There's no point in wasting your time here because the staff doesn't care about the guest experience, only about backdooring the inventory for themselves. read more

Very surprised that no one has written a review…read more The store is located right across from Lamar High School in the shopping plaza that houses the UPS store and Baskin and Robbins. The store has a very unassuming exterior. I would have totally missed it if I had not been to the original Sid Mashburn in the Westside district of Atlanta. It is an upscale niche-ish menswear / lifestyle store. It mostly caters to those who read GQ religiously. Now that I think about it, I think the store has grown because of the constant exposure it gets in #menswear blogs and magazines. For the lack of better term, I'd say the style of the store is a trendier / less conservative version of Brooks Brothers with better attention to fit. The premise of the store is that you shouldn't expect clothes to fit perfectly off the rack and are meant to be altered. That's why they have an in-house tailor that can alter the items to fit you in exactly the way you want. As far as the prices go, it's not cheap. A good looking suit here costs about 4 grand. Shirts are 150+. They also do bespoke and made-to-measure orders with Kiton and other high-end companies. They mostly focus on their house label but they do carry an assortment of upscale brands that I haven't seen much in Houston yet. -Alden, Edward Green, Filson, Diptyque (well, this one not so much), Levi's I think the quality of the house-label, especially the shirts, is a little disappointing. Sure, the fabric may be a little better but it just doesn't warrant the over-the-top price tag. I feel like you can get decent suits made with Loro Piana or Cerruti for much less if you look in the right place. With that said, the service here is impeccable and that's reflected in the price. I'd recommend this place if you got that River Oak$ money and are looking to add a little flare to your office attire or to "outfashion" your co-workers perhaps.

Everything was well organized and the turnout was pretty good. There were two groups, one for juniors and one for (young) adults, for fairness. Another thing I liked was that everyone got 3 extra packs instead of awarding it based on wins, given we're playing with pre-con decks + 4 packs that are all random. The staff are super friendly and welcoming, shout-out to Bryan (the general manager?) and the official judge for the event. Plus I had a great conversation with him and Michael(?) about MTG; they're definitely very passionate about board & card games. They have anti-scalping policies in place for Pokemon. As for the space itself, decent amount of parking (more in the back). They're very popular for Warhammer, so there's a ton of product for those who play, and several tables set-up with many people playing all afternoon next to us (the 'playing hall' is pretty large!). They also have an aisle with board games for sale, and a counter with TCG products. Restrooms are spacious and clean. All in all, The Forge is pretty much all you can ask for in a LGS; they're also independently owned! I wish I live closer, but I'll definitely be here again soon!

i have been to this store a handful of times and not one time has anyone ever greeted me. this place has horrible retail customer service... the sizes are limited, they claim to have exclusive items but you can find at other vendors, and way too over priced. i recommend the workers there to act a little more professional because some of the things that has come out of their mouths has been offensive. . . and smile for a minute please. sometimes there is more to do other than be on your face book and look as if your dog died or the world is about to end, especially when someone is waiting for your help, like me! its like if you are not a regular there, you just don't matter to them. which in my opinion is a horrible way to do business. good luck premium goods b/c i will be taking my business else where. read more

I found this gem of a store on our summer vacation. They helped us pick out shoes and gave us really good information. their customer service is top notch! i now only purchase online through them since I live in Florida. Dominque and Manny went above and beyond to make sure I was getting the right show my daughter wanted they answered all of our questions to make sure my experience was excellent! I basically feel like I received the famous Nordstrom customer service experience with these two at this wonderful store. They will always be top of mind when we need the "it" shoe fro our fashion inspired girls! Premium goods exceeds expectations in every way imaginable. The store is always super cleaned and well organized, customer service is always so welcoming. I am new to Houston and sometimes shopping alone makes me a little bit intimidated, Brittany here at premium was a GEM, immediately greeted me so welcoming and very quick it felt like I was shopping with a close friend. My son passed away several weeks ago. He was wearing his Premium Goods "houston" hoodie. He loved shopping there. He lived in Maine and his hoodie kept him warm and reminded him of how much he loved his hometown. My husband, my son's girlfriend, and I all wanted to get a houston hoodie to wear in my son's honor but Premium Goods no longer carried that line. However, Joe put in a special order and presented us with 3 hoodies in our individual sizes. They were gifts to us and given to us with such compassion and respect. I am visiting Houston from NYC and made a destination visit to Premium Goods today recommended by my best friend's daughter that lives in Houston. A cool boutique with an inside design display that reminds me of a fashion shop in Soho in New York City. Professional, friendly and polite staff that could answer my questions and was attentive to my requests. I purchased a simple, yet chic "Houston" T-Shirt to take back to the east coast for my son and a Jordon hoodie for myself with colorful artful design by a female artist. I've been going here since 2004 when Angie would always give my baby a fruit snack to compliment her new pair of fresh kicks. Premium is a household staple for us even attending a private event or 2. Over the years the staff and storefront has evolved, and the service is STILL AMAZING. I had the most amazing customer service experience in store with Cody! I came wanting to add a pair of shoes to my wardrobe that was alittle out of my comfort zone and Cody gave me great advice with my style. I didn't know my exact shoe size so he brought out multiple pairs until I got the right fit. He shared deets about future shoe drops and other items they sell in store. I was there only one time and I liked this place. I bought sneakers there. The quality is super, I am wearing them for a long time and they look as new. I can not say that shoes are expensive, the prices are reasonable. Lovely workers helped me to choose my shoes. The store is clean. The choice of shoes is quite big with different brands. The place is not very big and it was not very crowded when I came, but I think if it is crowded it will be difficult to find something. Stopped in while walking rice village & it is a great spot to shop for sneakers and other street wear items. I love a spot that carries Nike ACG one thing I especially appreciate about shopping here is the available sizes are found on the tags.
