So what'ha happened was, in October of last year my mom's doggy ate my retainer. I haven't been able to get into my previous orthodontist because he is 4 hours away. Unfortunately his office does not have a digital scan of my mouth therefore they are not able to make another retainer without a mold. Bummer right? So that obstacle, coupled with my procrastination and Effexor brain, I hadn't really looked for an ortho her in LA until recently. I found them on Yelp (sorry Googoo) and went to their website. They have a feature where you can take pics of your mouth/teeth and upload them to them to their patient portal and they contact you regarding treatment and setting up an appointment! It was super helpful and easy, as a matter of fact, my entire interaction from start to present has been effortless. I went in, they were very kind and welcoming, their staff, especially Laura, Kim and Claudia, were wonderful. I am big on customer service and lack thereof will kill an experience for me. I am 41 and already quite crotchity when it comes to people I do business with, the staff I dealt with was A+. Dr. Prero was so kind and down to earth I thought he was an assistant or something! They also worked with my budget for down and monthly payments, which is great because my oral needs were out of pocket. Their system also allows communication via text which is FABULOUS because I hate talking on the phone! This orthodontic office will have you smiling at your BEST when you're walking out their door. I thought Man! This guy really knows his stuff! He threw out some options and gave me his best advice and I felt like I learned a lot from that one visit. Dr Prero is a First Class Orthodontist! I had had braces about 9 years ago, and after they were taken off got permanent retainers put in on both top and bottom front teeth to prevent shifting. Well thursday night before memorial day weekend started two of my bottom two brackets broke and the wire was poking into my tongue and extremely painful. I had never had an issue with my retainers in the whole 8 years i have had them, till now. Just my luck my dentist isn't in on fridays, and the orthodontist that did my dental work is 3,000 miles away ( very unlucky and not helpful). So I began googling the best orthodontists in Beverly Hills praying I get helped Friday bc there was no way i would make it through the holiday weekend in that much pain and unable to chew solid food. After calling around 5-6 Orthodontists who were unable to accommodate me, Dr Prero's office told me that he would be willing to come back from his lunch break early to see me. I was so thankful. Dr Prero was such a sweetheart. Very well educated and committed to making sure I was comfortable the whole time and happy every step of the way. He treated me like my happiness with his orthodontic work was the most important part of his day. He gave me his undivided attention and I could tell his heart and his passion was in helping people through his work. He gave me all my options, we came up with a plan, and to my surprise he ended up giving me something even better then what I originally had done, which i didn't think was possible! He also answered all my questions, and gave me a very fair price which was a life saver since I have a broken foot and can't really work much right now. I met Dr. Prero at a school event months ago. I mentioned to him that I'd lost my retainers and he promised to replace them for me for an extremely generous price. Last week Thursday I called unsure whether he'd remember or care about our conversation from months back. The very next day I was in the office getting my X-rays done, for the price he first offered, (he remembered who I was, what I was wearing--in a very non creepy way, and our exact conversation) I've started to feel self conscious about my teeth since they've shifted without my retainers, and made a spur of the moment choice to revisit braces. I started Invisalign with Dr. Prero and his team last February after 2 other consultations at other offices. It is hands down one of the best things I have ever done. One of the things Dr. Prero offered other offices didn't was a monthly payment plan that wasn't through a credit service. They just autocharged my credit card every month and it made it very painless. Also, they stayed on top of me to make sure I was coming in for my monthly checks so I stayed in track.
