I am writing this review to document a very troubling experience with Dr. Murray that I believe…read morereflects clear negligence. I saw Dr. Murray for a tooth extraction. Soon afterward, I developed severe pain in the adjacent tooth and noticeable gum swelling. I returned to the office and specifically requested an x-ray because I was concerned about infection. Despite this, Dr. Murray reassured me that everything was fine, that my mouth was healing normally, and that the adjacent tooth was merely "sprained" from the extraction. No further diagnostic steps were taken. Over the following week, my condition worsened significantly. I was unable to chew on one side, my gums remained swollen, and the tooth became loose. I contacted the office and explained that I likely had an infection and needed antibiotics immediately. The office refused to prescribe antibiotics without another appointment, and the earliest available time was the following day. At that visit, Dr. Murray finally ordered a 360° x-ray and informed me--without urgency or accountability--that I had a serious infection under the tooth that was actively destroying the bone. He stated that I would likely lose the tooth. This outcome could and should have been prevented had my initial concerns been properly addressed and diagnostic imaging been performed when I first requested it. Equally concerning, during my extraction, Dr. Murray appeared distracted, moving between multiple patients instead of giving my procedure his full attention. Afterward, when I emailed the office expressing my concerns and requesting a call, I received no response. When I followed up by phone, I was brushed off. Because my repeated concerns were dismissed, a preventable infection has now resulted in irreversible damage and the likely loss of another tooth. This constitutes a failure to provide an appropriate standard of care. I am actively considering legal action for negligence. At minimum, I believe this office should be held accountable and take immediate steps to ensure that no other patient experiences this kind of disregard.

From the moment you walk in, you are treated with genuine kindness and care. The manager and the entire staff are incredibly friendly, professional, and informative-they take the time to explain everything clearly and make sure you feel comfortable and confident at every step. My dentist, Dr. Glass is truly exceptional. Every treatment has been pain-free, and I deeply appreciate how attentive and compassionate he is. Throughout the entire procedure, they consistently check to see how I'm feeling, or am I okay. That makes a huge difference and shows how much they truly care about their patient's comfort. I had some questions regarding my insurance, etc... and the office manager, Andrea took the time to sit with me and explain in detail my treatment plan. She was patient with me, and knowledgable about my insurance and care. She went above and beyond. If you're looking for a dental team that is knowledgeable, caring, and genuinely puts patients first, I highly recommend this practice. the

I'm thinking, okay makes sense and was ready to schedule for the new mouth guard. Then... the question at the dental office became "do we just charge him for the office visit or do we add the charge of a mouth guard adjustment?" Yes, the literally considerred whether to charge me for the failed mouth guard adjustment. In the end, they decided to only charge me for an office visit. That didn't happen BTW. From the initial contact via phone and email to the warmest welcome by Ms. Erin and Ms. Season, flawless, check-in and minimum wait time, the experience has been most pleasant, professional, and inviting. I saw Dr. Oblad for a second opinion before a proposed major reconstructive work. The consultation exceeded my expectations in every way.Dr. Oblad was very thorough, methodical, took additional time to perform tests, listen to my questions, and patiently answered my many questions and educated me on my status. Dr Oblad was very skillfully, assisted by Ms. Heather, who took care of my scans, and generally shepherded me through the process from start to finish. Checkout was a breeze, no extended wait for the paperwork to catch up with the work, Erin and Season even filed with my insurance company to make everything super smooth and easy. I could not have been happier with the visit, and would like to convey my highest recommendation for this practice. I knew I was in the best of hands from start to finish, and for that, and the good news from Dr. Oblad, I am eternally grateful.

Nobody likes going to the dentist. Worse, nobody likes getting a root canal. I've had extensive…read moredental work and have lost count of how many crowns and root canals are in my mouth. I knew something was going on near my upper left molars, but I couldn't pinpoint which tooth it was. I went to my dentist, who took x-rays and told me he was pretty sure it was a particular molar, suggested I needed a root canal, and referred me to Dr. Pratt at Prescott Endodontic Associates. They were able to get me an appointment the next day. I arrived for my midday appointment. Dr. Pratt did extensive testing to ensure that we pinpointed the correct tooth, then told me he could do the root canal immediately. What? RIGHT NOW? It doesn't take two or three visits? I was astonished. To be fair, I was "in the chair" for a solid three hours. But Dr. Pratt and his able assistant, Jess, made sure I was 100% comfortable and kept me pain free the entire time. I was also impressed with the high-tech equipment they used, including Dr. Pratt using a microscope to locate my hard-to-find roots and Jess taking in-progress X-rays that instantly appeared on the monitor before me. I already had a crown on that tooth. I was afraid I might have to get a new one. But Dr. Pratt drilled a hole through the crown to get to the root(s) and remove them, then filled the hole. I had no idea that was even a possibility. Dentistry has come a long, long way from my childhood in the early 60s! My tooth was a bit sensitive for a couple of weeks afterward, but that was to be expected. I had no post-trauma infection pop up, which was my biggest concern. The icing on the cake was when a check arrived in the mail a few weeks later as a result of my insurance having covered more than had been estimated - a nice bonus! 10/10 would recommend every member of Dr. Pratt's team - from the front office staff to the accounting staff to his assistant Jess - to anyone needing endodontic care. This was first-class dentistry at its finest.

I needed an implant, one tooth, $4800. He extracted the tooth, supposedly built up the bone etc and said come back in 3 months for the implant. An appointment was made. The dentist from hell recommended the appliance from hell to cover the hole in the front of my mouth. I believe that appliance, looks like something that cost $2.87, cost $800. It needed adjusting just about every day. Never should have been recommended without disclosing its problems. Further and shockingly, the staff expects you to do exactly as you are told. No deviation no back talk just follow the rules and you will be fine. I have the strange belief that the staff is there to serve me , not the reverse. Anyway, after the staff, a veritable Kindergarten, complained about me Montes fired me. He explained, very nicely, that he had to satisfy his staff because they were a team. That leaves patients in left field. Amazing, this guy has no idea how outrageous he is. Goes from bad to worse. I go to another dentist to get the work completed. The x-rays show that there is nowhere near enough bone in that area for an implant to be placed with the hope of any longevity. I notify Montes of this situation and demand a complete refund. He strings me along for a week or so. I finally file suit against him for malpractice, unprofessionalism, abuse and elder abuse. So unless you are sheep and wish to get fleeced or a law student seeking practice I would avoid this Kindergarten like the plague.

The first time I visited his office, I hadn't seen a dentist in a very long time. He worked me in for a humongous filling the same day and successfully avoided a root canal. Winning for my teeth and my wallet. I have seen him regularly since. He recommends conservative treatment -- if possible, take care of problems while they're small and avoid nasty root canals and crowns later on. He is honest about what needs to be done TODAY and what can wait (for me, for my financial/insurance situation to improve). He never makes me feel rushed and always has a smile. I was recently told by another dentist that I needed a crown. Dr. Montes gave me a free second opinion and solved the problem with a filling that was pain-free and absolutely seamless. My husband broke his front teeth in half when he was a kid. After twenty years, they had worn out a bit and Dr. Montes redid them with beautiful results. (And I feel weird saying beautiful either about teeth or my husband, but I did anyway). The office has at least four of the same wonderful, friendly & welcoming receptionists/front office persons/hygienists/dental assistants as 8 years ago. The new hygienist I saw this week is equally wonderful. They are not judgy when I don't floss enough or stain my teeth with coffee (As my sister says -- I provide the teeth, you just clean them in whatever state they're in) or when I need an empty room to breastfeed my kid before we leave. They are extremely efficient in scheduling appointments and dealing with insurance issues. And they make it fun to pop in every six months and update them on what's new with work, kids, etc. like you're visiting an old friend. Also GREAT FOR KIDS. Both of my kids (now 3 and 4) have been seeing Dr. Montes since their teeth grew in. First, for "happy visits" to get them used to the chair and later, for cleanings. I personally don't think the dentist should be disguised as a theme park, and this office is a great professional REALISTIC (hey, sometimes you have to do things you don't want to do) but kid-friendly choice. My three-year-old just had a cavity filled by Dr. Thompson that required no anesthesia. He did not shed a tear and the worst he could say was that "one thing tasted really bad." My insane mother-in-law couldn't even find anything negative to say about Dr. Thompson. Going to the dentist is not fun. This is as good as it gets. I now live 100 miles away and have had enough bad experiences that it's worth it to trek to Prescott 2x/year for our dental needs.
