Placed an order through DoorDash to pick up food for my husband and I. I ordered potato skins and the chicken strips. My husband ordered some wings, steak bites and loaded fries. Did not want pico de gallo on my potato skins so in the customize options I selected everything EXCEPT pico de gallo. My husband comes home from picking up the food and not only did I get LOTS of pico de gallo on my potato skins, but I also did not receive my chicken strips at all. The fries looked pathetic and not really "loaded" (picture attached) and my husband's steak bites were burnt. I was willing to give this place another try after the last time I picked up an order from there and got raw-in-the-middle chicken strips, but no more. Husband and I are in agreement that we definitely won't be going back there. ****Update: when my husband went back for my chicken strips and they said they did not have any, they offered a burger instead. I thought that was nice of them so I told my husband sure, to just get me a plain burger with cheese and bacon. My husband comes back with the burger and it has cheese and no bacon. Burger also had almost no seasoning on it whatsoever (totally bland meat) and it was undercooked in the middle. Sticking with my initial statement that we won't be going back. And I'm sorry Thomas but there's not a whole lot you could possibly do to make it up to me. Thanks for responding to the review though. read more

My server Allie was awesome. But the owner or management didn't staff enough people. One bartender, one cook and one server for a packed house. My phillycheesesteak sandwich came out burnt and dry and with the wrong cheese. I hated to bug her to remake it but she was happy too. When it came out right it was delicious. Totally recommend the phillycheesesteak with cheese whiz. The Alfredo is delicious. The chicken quesadilla was burnt but eatable. Then the owner has a staff meeting right by our table talking about customer expectations. I was like hello help your awesome server a bit and do some table touches or run food. Just went in there and left. Blonde server with curly hair came up and literally would not give us a food menu until we ordered drinks. I asked her three times for a food menu and every time she responded "but what can I get you to drink?" Clearly we are not ready to get drinks but would love the menu we asked for. Today was a one of a kind experience. I've been here several times and we were meeting with some friends from out of town to catch up and I suggested PressBox?! One of our guests ordered a Chicken Caesar Salad, 2 people ordered wings, I shared potato skins and a side Caesar with my husband since we weren't as hungry and I had a thing for a free appetizer that I had been holding onto for years; literally. (Plus 2 sodas and 3 beers total). Service at this point was amazing and several people in our party commented on how good the service was?! We sat and chit chatted for about 30 minutes before any food came and the Caesar dressing was so terrible?! It tasted like the took a regular size bottle of dressing and mixed it with a gallon of mayo. It was thick, very bland and just weird. I had a side Caesar so I wasn't too concerned, I choked it down because I didn't want to send it away or be picky. Our guest felt the same way but told the waitress that if she could get 2 sides of ranch maybe she could make it taste better. Well, it was okay for a few bites and then she just couldn't do it. It was just really bad. Being that we hate to complain and we aren't looking for a handout, she asked if she could just get another one with no dressing and 2 ranch on the side. (Again, lettuce, croutons, and a single piece of chicken; not super wild.) We said we weren't trying to get a free meal or anything and we were happy to pay for it but it was inedible. About 20 minutes later a guy I assume is the manager, came and offered her a free drink on them for the poor experience (however they had a long drive out of town so she said no thank you.) Then the salad finally showed up. At this point our server stopped coming around, service was basically non-existent. She ate her salad with the ranch and it was much better. We finally found our server and asked for the bill since we had been there almost 2 hours. When we got the bill, I was completely shocked to find out they didn't charge us for the salad, they charged us for 2 salads!?! I have worked in restaurants, service industry and currently own my own successful business and I have never in my life heard of such a thing?! It was $30 for the 2 salads alone. All together: 3 beers, 2 sodas, side salad, 3 appetizers (one was free with my coupon?!) and TWO salads!? As a business owner and former server I would never ever have charged them for one salad; but like I said we didn't need it taken off at all. But to charge our guest with 2 salads because your dressing was so bad that it was inedible!? I was beyond upset. $80 for 5 drinks, 2 appetizers, and a salad (or two). I was so genuinely flabbergasted that I asked the server when she took the check if she was really going to charge us for 2 $15 salads?!? She made it really awkward and said "I mean, I can take it off maybe......................." to which my guest said it was no big deal (but probably because it's so awkward?!) when the server left to run the card I was so mad and told her it was not okay and I wouldn't be back. I just never in my life thought that giving a business an opportunity to make a customer experience right could go so wrong. It was a train wreck and I really highly doubt I will ever be back or recommend this place. I just can't even get over how horribly they did at making it right. read more

Spicy bbq salad was delicious! Loaded fries and a bacon cheeseburger tasted as good as it looked. Nice relaxing place to eat, drink, watch a fight. Staff was very friendly. Waitress checked on us, made sure we had refills. Comfortable seating and I will return soon. read more

The food and drinks were awesome and our server was very attentive and checked on us. Loved the atmosphere and all the TV's to view sports. I will go back for the good food and drinks. My complaint was that there was a very drunk older man who was escorted (held up) out of the bar by staff early on in the evening. The man came back later in the evening and was again helped out of the bar. He was so drunk that he fell down outside. This man was allowed to get into his car and drive off. Thankfully many patrons were outside and called the police. The Press Box should have called a cab or Uber or something rather than allowing a very drunk man to get into his car and drive. read more

Went to the Press Box to catch the Warriors game w/friends. Our server Destiny was very pleasant and checked on us through out our meal. Started with some chicken/beef nachos and onion rings. Both were fine. Then we put in our meal orders, crispy chicken sandwich, bbq chicken wrap, salmon salad and a turkey burger w/mixed green salad. I felt like there was quite a time lag between our apps and meal. Not sure if the kitchen was backed up (it wasn't too busy while we were there) or if that's their strategy to get you to buy more drinks while waiting. I've always enjoyed the Press Box, but I've noticed over the past few months business seemed to be slower and slower. We were there on a Friday night and you could have shot a cannon through there. Service was on point, everyone super friendly and attentive. Only issue I can see is the food, wow it's gotten bad. The menu reads "filet of beef bites". It was low quality tri tip, super chews, not good at all. Not sure why you'd say you are serving filet on your menu and then not. The chicken nachos had almost no toppings, it was like a pile of chips. I'll go back in a couple months and update my review hoping to upgrade it. read more

Let me start by saying I may be biased because I love this place, I usually go to PB1 or 3 if you don't know that's the other locations but I had not went to Clovis yet and I'm sure glad I did. The ambiance was a home feeling everyone knew everyone , so definitely regulars go there. Alex was the bartender and man this guy was great, he was listening to me and giving input it was like talking to one of my guys back home just when I thought it couldn't get any better here comes the cook Darian. This little lady and Alex worked so well together, I hadn't laughed that hard in such a long time. She was giving me great recommendations on food I ended up getting the mother of all burger she recommended an egg and avocado and Jesus this thing was huge. I'll have to post the picture later when I find it. I'm going to end this with PB Clovis (2) is my favorite location they are all great but Alex and Darian are the jewels there. After horrible experiences can tomato sauce and almost frozen Wings ..we were here again And I gave it like another try(more like 20tries). Although this time around it was so pleasant and enjoyable. This is not the bar you say "oh the owner gave me this "because this is an actual family restaurant and bar." Been coming here for awhile when they had a great cook...Just came in tonight to him no longer with the company an to say the least the food was crap. I didn't know it was so difficult to make chicken nachos until tonight. Absolutely disappointed. I basically ate a plate of chips. No toppings how ridiculous. This was mine an my fiance spot but the new cook sucks so looks like we're finding a new place. The first review hits it on the head, but I am going to flip it somewhat. The food was horrendous. Ordered a chicken sandwich, when it arrived 40 minutes later, the chicken was the size and thickness of a 50 cent piece. The manager walked over, obviously he had his speech rehearsed, as he asked what he could do to fix it before we even had a chance to mention the wait or the food. 1 hour 15 minutes, lunch done, and we finally leave. Not a great place to meet clients for lunch. However, the reason why I gave it three stars is that the service was rock solid. Our waitress worked hard to keep us placated, and was friendly and that goes a long way. If they are still around in 6 months, I will return and give it another review and try. It might be growing pains as the pressbox on the Fig Garden Loop is quite good. This might be a management issue more than anything and not the management at the restaurant across town. read more

The turn up is real!! Came here with friends for a comedy show. This was my second time to this location. I have to say this is the best time I ever had. I don't know if it was because it's a comedian who was very funny or the drinks that kept coming. In either case it made for a lively evening. They normally serve food however during this night I didn't order anything. I even took the chance to sit close to the stage. And yes the comic took it upon himself to have jokes on me. This is my second visit. First time I had the salmon salad and have to say I was not expecting much ... I was shocked. Salmon was cooked perfect and had a lot of flavor. Also had the French onion soup and it too was delicious. It was perfect for lunch. Came back a couple weeks later for lunch again and shared the margarita pizza and tostada salad. Pizza was amazing, great tasting and dough was thick and completely cooked. Salad was good too, a nice health choice we didn't have the dressing, just the salad and it still had good flavor. This turned into a great evening. The wife and I went to a Fresno Bully Rescue event. What started out as a planned visit quickly turned into a nice evening. The event was a comedy night which by the way, was sold out. So when we found out that the server staff was just the manager and two regular servers, concern ensued. Kelly quickly put us to rest with her Portuguese charm and all around classy demeanor. Now, let me keep this on track. I am not sure if the barkeep's name was Mishi, or that was a nickname for Michelle, etc. My advice is to keep her there and happy. She is a true credit to your operation, for the wife is not usually impressed with most bar and restaurant Bloody Mary's. Tonight, she had two. We will have no problem adding the PressBox to our list of preferred hangouts. A great night indeed. read more

I been going to the Press box now for a few years and I have to say without a doubt that their new Bar Tender Glory went well beyond the call of duty to make sure that our experience was special. The chef also went beyond our expectations when he asked us, "how our dessert was?" us without saying anything but able to tell by the looks on our face that it wasn't that good. He on his own made us a new one that was amazing. 1st time here and it was nice seeing a stand up temperature taker machine at the front door. The staff was friendly and we were the first customers there. My wife's French dip needed seasoning and was a bit dry and the meat was chopped and not sliced. When they brought her lunch out they spilled Au Jus in her dress. I had the bacon cheeseburger, I ordered it medium and it came well done and the cheese was missing. The meat also had no seasoning on it but the burger as a whole wasn't that bad, some seasoning would have made a huge difference though. We ordered the fries well done and they were perfect!
