We ordered the Double Pismo Smash Burger with sweet potato fries, parmesan fries, the fig and prosciutto pizza, the PB&J pizza (jalapeños and bacon), and a build-your-own pizza with pepperoni, mushrooms, and jalapeños. The burger was delicious and cooked well, but I would've loved a little more of the sauce to bring all the flavors together. The sweet potato and garlic fries were my favorite and perfectly crispy. The pizzas were exactly as described and felt a bit more elevated than your typical pizza place. If you're a fan of thin-crust pizza, you'll definitely enjoy them. The service really stood out. Our server, Jesse, was friendly, attentive, and quick on his feet, making sure we always had what we needed. Met my friend for early dinner 3:30. Place was empty except about 2 other customers. Perfect! Excellent, prompt service. Server very nice, made suggestions. I ordered a pulled pork bbq sandwich with garlic fries and a side of onion rings. Delicious! My only suggestion would be to add more coleslaw to the sandwich or give a little side scoop. The place was nice, clean and looks fun! Lots of seating, tables and bar. Lots of beer choices, although I did not have any. I'm definitely going back to try other dishes. Just want to say that the servers there were amazing. They were so polite and accommodating and they made you feel at home. They alone would get 5 stars. The reason I rated this a lot lower is because of the food. Entirely way too overpriced for what it is. We ordered a lot of stuff: Nashville crispy chicken sandwich, bacon mac & cheese, mozz sticks, tie tip chili cheese fries, onion rings, and a regular Italian pizza. The mac and cheese was not great. The cheese felt grainy for a whopping $18. The mozz sticks, onion rings were $12 each and they were mediocre. For that price, I would have at least expected more than just 5 pieces. Also no cheese pull at all with them. The tri tip chillie cheese fries hardly had any tri tip in it. Not worth $13.50 because it was literally just ground beef. The Italian pizza was okay, but not worth $18.25 for the size. My husband said the sauce didn't have much flavor and the only good thing about it was the Italian sausage topping. We came here because we have passed by it a lot and had been meaning to give it a try. Everyone always looked like they were having a great time coming out of there and it look loud and night-club like. Well, we tried it and now know what it is. Sadly, won't be returning. First of all, my wife and I walked in and the music was so loud we couldn't talk to each other across the table. Our server took our order and never came back to refill our drinks. My wife ordered a chicken sandwich came out with hard char pieces on it, couldn't eat it, ordered a burger instead, I ordered a very dry smash burger. Overall, not a good dining experience. We were visiting our Fresno kids and grandchildren and chose Blast and Brew to treat them for lunch, four adults and four children total. We ordered a variety of food: a pizza, huge Bavarian pretzel, garlic fries, mac and cheese, street tacos, mushroom swiss burger and tri tip salad and beverages. SIL tried two kinds of IPA's. Everyone was happy with their food and the service was top notch. Our server was delightful and efficient! Her name escapes me but she lives in Oakhurst as I recall. I have been here a few times, and it's always a solid choice. Most recently, I went with my wife just for a lunchtime snack -- we ordered (and shared) the Nashville wings, the tri-tip chili fries, and the deviled eggs. The deviled eggs weren't anything special, but they were really good, and we didn't have to go through the trouble at home. The Nashville hot wings were my favorite and the tri-tip chili fries were my wife's favorite, even though we both enjoyed everything. The Nashville hot flavor is the usual -- not very hot (like a 6/10 on the BWW scale, and maybe a 3/10 on Hot Ones), but they taste SO good. Went out with my husband for our weekly date night and decided to venture into our lovely downtown Clovis. We spotted Blast & Brew and were drawn to their wall of beer on tap immediately. We were seated right away, we ordered the AhiTower, classic combo pizza, and a cup of their clam chowder. The ahi tower and pizza were very good! Their clam chowder was very tasty also but not enough clam to their chowder. I would order it again though. We will be back again. read more

My family and I were looking for a place to grab a quick bite to eat before we attended a comedy show near downtown Clovis. I saw this place pop up on a list of favorites for downtown Clovis. We showed up at 6pm on a Saturday evening and it was quieter than we expected, which was nice as our party of 4 was seated immediately. The staff who helped us during our dining experience were all friendly and helpful. Anytime I see a place has sweet potato fries, I have to order them. The sweet potato fries were one of the best I have ever tried! They were incredibly crispy with just the right amount of salt. My family members said the salad they ordered tasted fresh and was well balanced with flavors and textures. I tried the prosciutto and arugula pizza as I am a sucker for this specific combination of flavors. The pizza was hot and looked amazing. The pizza was well balanced with toppings but I was a little disappointed in the dough itself. The pizza had a nice undercarriage to it with no flop. I wasn't the biggest fan of the dough because of the texture to it. There was no chew to it and felt as if I was eating a warm cracker. Not the end of the world, but it wasn't a favorite for anyone at our table. Overall, the dining experience was great! Portions were great and the menu prices were fair. If I am in the area again, I'll stop back but will probably steer clear of the pizzas as they weren't my favorite! read more

Good place for a quick drink and bar food. We've been to this location several times in the last couple of months. The service is generally very prompt and friendly. The restaurant is on the smaller side and can get pretty busy in the evenings but we've always been sat and tended to quickly. Noise level can be a little high on busy nights but it's to be expected in this setting. The menu is pretty straightforward-- bar bites, salads, burgers and pizzas are the main offerings. I've enjoyed their Caesar salad and farmers market pizza in recent visits. Their wings are delicious- crispy and covered in your choice of sauce. So this place was....fine but we'd probably never go back? It's a chain, but for some reason (and this was our misunderstanding) we thought they were known for their pizza and that's mainly why we went. How does a pizza and beer chain compare to (say) our amazing local (not-chain) South of Shaw? Well, we'd heard good things but were underwhelmed. Let me start by saying though that the service was really lovely -- fast and friendly and helpful. And the ambiance itself was fine. It felt like a chain but it was just fine -- clean and comfortable. Lively but not too noisy. It's the food and beer that fell short. After choosing a beer off the menu (you order by number) I was told they didn't have that beer anymore because the menu wasn't updated. And the server asked me if I wanted another beer that didn't even sound similar to the type of beer I asked for? It confused me a little and in retrospect I wonder if she wanted to know if I wanted the beer that now had the same number as the beer I ordered? Not sure. But I had a second choice, a pineapple cider and I ordered that; it was perfectly fine. My husband ordered a hazy IPA and was likewise told they might not have that one anymore. So he said "any hazy IPA will be fine." So that's what he got: It was not so great, and he doesn't know which one it was. The food though. We wanted pizza and yet we didn't want to just get two little pizzas and no other food. So we decided to get a burger and a pizza and share both. The blast burger was a nice surprise -- a basic burger with grilled onions, lettuce, tomato and what seemed like a Big Mac type sauce on a good bun and some perfectly good garlic fries. We both liked that. Generous portions too. Thank goodness we had the burger because the pizza was awful. Now maybe they are not known for their pizza after all, and I went here based on a misunderstanding. But you need to know the pizza is to be avoided. At first I thought, this is not even up to fast-food Pieology or Domino's standards --and it's really not. The crust is thin like a cracker and seems pre-fab. There was a lot of sauce and very little toppings. Not a lot of cheese, very few pepperonis. Not pleasant to eat, the sauce was dripping off and it was $15 dollars for this -- which seemed excessive for what was served. It was overall an OK experience and we liked our servers, but we wouldn't go out of our way to come back unless we were already in Clovis and really wanted a burger. And for pizza there are a lot better options -- when Pieology or Domino's are among the "better options" you know this is not the place for pizza. read more

I've been here a few times, and I almost always order pizza. This time around I opted for the tri-tip salad wrap, which is just one of their salads loaded into a tortilla. I got mine wrapped into a spinach tortilla and it was delicious. The wrap was decent sized, but could have used a little more tri-tip. Even though it was lacking in the steak department the flavor was there. I especially loved the crunchy pickled onions and the bite from the bleu cheese crumbles. My wife ordered the personal prosciutto and arugula pizza and she really enjoyed it. The pizza also made for great leftovers. I just had a cali-burger, and unfortunately was very disappointed by the burger. How do you mess up a burger?!! The meat was overdone and dry, and the brioche bread was not fresh. 3 stars due to very basic request denied. I asked that my Rodeo burger be cooked medium-rare. I was served a well done burger patty. I cut it in half and clearly saw it was well done. When I reported it to the waitress, she returned back with my same plate only to inform me that the line cooks "have difficulty cooking medium rare as they have no way to tell because of using a hot grill all day". This is not a satisfactory answer for a menu that has 1/3 burgers. The line cooks need to be retrained on the ABCs of cooking temperatures for meats. Or I don't know, USE A MEAT THERMOMETER perhaps?! Service by our waitress was great and honestly all the other items we ordered were great. The pretzel is a must try and the cheesecake bites were killer. But I was completely turned off by an over cooked burger patty. They did comp me my burger but I only ate half and did not enjoy it. First and last time trying this place. read more

As a craft beer lover, I'd say it's great for those who enjoy having plenty of options. They have about 20+ beers on tap, along with some wine and seltzer options. Their cool concept involves giving you a card that you can scan at each handle to select your pour size, from a small taster to a full glass. At the end of your meal, you return the card, and it calculates how much you've poured. There are plenty of clean glasses, so you can grab a new one when you're ready to try a new brew. You might not find the best hazy IPAs in town, but the variety is fantastic, especially if you're with a group and want to cater to everyone's tastes. Then when we got the bill, there was a charge for a side of ranch. I would have appreciated knowing there'd be an extra charge when it was originally offered. When I eat out I want the food to be fantastic. Only been here once before but was surprised there were a decent amount of customers when we arrived. The establishment was very spacious and clean. Service was great! Pur waitress was very quick, responsive and attentive. Pizza was delicious (1/2 cowboy, 1/2 island blast). Pizza was delicious! We learned about the card/pour your own drink option - not accustomed to that feature in a brewery/restaurant. Cool! Plenty of options! We came at a weird time for lunch so we had the whole restaurant to ourselves for a little while before other parties trickled in. So we had great service! We ordered a combo pizza and the blast chopped salad. They were able to accommodate cheese and dressing on the side. Whoever made our pizza had a heavy hand with the cheese and usually I don't mind a lot of cheese but the cheese to sauce ratio just wasn't right.. iykyk. The dough/crust was soft, thin and chewy. The salad was really good and the cubed chicken was perfectly grilled and crispy. We had a sour from Crow & Wolf and there was one other sour from a different brewery that we'll try next time. We have ate here a few times and really enjoyed it so when we were in Clovis we wanted to come again. I order the Crispy Chicken Sandwich which I have had before and really enjoyed it but this time it wasn't made correctly, it is supposed to have a Hot Honey Glaze but they gave me straight hot sauce on the sandwich. I have really bad reflux and can't eat really spicy stuff, I even had my husband taste it to make sure I wasn't being crazy because he loves hot sauce and he said it was straight hot sauce (he said tasted like Franks Red Hot sauce). Well I couldn't even eat my sandwich had about 3 bites and had to stop because it was making my stomach hurt. I ordered garlic fries with mine and those were good but I didn't go to eat just fries. Also since when do they charge $1 for a side of ranch, we have never been charged for it before and weren't told it cost $1 or I would have at least asked for the cup to be full and not half a cup. My husband had the pastrami sandwich which he said was ok but nothing special he liked the hamburger he had gotten last time better. Needless to say we won't be back after this, I want something I can eat not something I have to throw away because they didn't give me what the menu says it is. read more

The steak was cut weird and it almost looked fake. It certainly didn't look very appetizing and was edible but nothing I would order again. The actual salad was fresh and the salad dressing fine. Nothing exciting. The restaurant was clean and not loud at this time of the day which was nice. It is an aesthetically please atmosphere with a menu that looks like it has many options for many people. We're not beer drinkers so we wouldn't come for alcohol. This was my first time at Blast & Brew. The food and service were both good, it was very busy but we felt acknowledged well enough and our food came to our table quite fast. It's pretty loud inside so it can be hard to hear someone talking at your table but if you're just chilling and not trying to chat too much, then it probably won't be a big deal for you. I really enjoyed their salads. The Asian chicken salad and the chicken apple pecan salad is SO GOOD. I say this place is worth trying! read more

Ehhhhh not impressed, don't get me wrong it wasn't terrerrrible I just was not into the whole thing. I get that it's not really a place focused on good quality food but honestly my burger was bad and I'm really not that picky when it comes to a burger. Sooo dry and lacking any kind flavor. Definitely won't be getting that again in the future. The Mac was good though! I tried one of their beers on tap, I believe it was called something on the line of "tutti fruity" and it was a sour.
