Supposed to be a waffle.
Julie T.

Positives. The Goetta sandwich was good. Egg cooked perfectly and it had a nice slice of fresh tomato. The potato tot waffle good but didn't look like a waffle. Ours was a mess but I saw other diners that ordered it and it look great. The negative is the Bloody Mary. No olives no celery no limes or lemons. When I asked they said they don't have any. Tasted like tomato juice even though I asked for spicy. Do not order one! Server was nice. Probably won't be back.

We love press! It's such a cute little cafe with really delicious food. When you enter you order at the counter then find a place to sit if you are dining in. The drinks come quickly and they will bring your food to the table if you are dining in. The sausage biscuit sandwich is the perfect little breakfast sandwich. Everything is always so good, highly recommend!

Chicken & Waffle Stack

Finally tried Press! I can see why this place always has a line out the door. We did have an incredibly long wait time to order, but the food came out great. Tried the chicken and waffles which was really good. My only suggestion would be to have two cashiers during peak hours

Biscuits and gravy with egg

Stopped in randomly for the first time on a Saturday. We came around brunch time so it was pretty busy, but we still got our food very quickly! We ordered a few different things to try from their menu as well as a couple coffees. Everything turned out excellent, and we were super happy and full when we left our table. We would definitely come back! Highly recommend their iced coffees, they are waffles, and biscuits and gravy! You order at the counter and get a number. Food will be brought to your table! Very easy and plenty of seating indoors and outdoors.

Needed a quick bite and found this place. Multiple menu options and decent prices. Hot honey was good, but kind of took away from the great biscuit. Fries were abundant when ordering the side order of them. Casual atmosphere with a neighborhood vibe. Saw families and couples of all ages. Service was good and fairly quick. Would definitely come back if visiting again.

Cinnamon Waffle with a side of bacon

We stopped in early for breakfast. The food was excellent, the staff was very accommodating, and the service was exceptionally fast. Coffee was perfect. A little pricey for what I would call "self serve ". We did not realize that it did not have a full waitstaff. You order at the counter and they deliver the food. The atmosphere was a little stark, but all in all a nice experience.

Hash Bowl with Tots

We ordered the hash bowl with tots. It was very good. Lots of potatoes. Great flavor. Fast and friendly service. You order what you want and have a seat. They bring it to you with a smile. Very clean place. Lots of people for a early Sunday morning. That should speak for itself. Next I want to try thier breakfast sandwiches. They look awesome and I hear they are one of the favorites also. Enjoy.

I love being able to order at the front and sit and wait for food!! Our food was ready very quickly and service was good. The tables were very spacious and lots of seats available indoor and outdoor. The food was literally AMAZING! We were all shocked and silently eating in enjoyment. All three of us tried each others food and couldn't pick a favorite. Absolutely coming back. They also have a wide variety of bottled beverages including seltzers, beers, juices, milks, etc.

Burger with greens

A good spot for quick lunch. I got the Press burger with tossed greens. The burger was delicious and juicy. A slight ding on the "tossed" greens being served with dressing on the side (a minor inconsistency). Service was sparse since you order at the front and seated yourself but everyone was friendly and polite. The food came out quick! The atmosphere was airy but there was a few crumbs on our table. Otherwise, the space was clean.

Rye toast, Goetta, Brussel Sprouts
Teagan H.

1st time here. I ordered 3 items off A la Cart menu: goetta, rye toast, and brussel sprouts. Brussel sprouts were a little too oily for me, though good flavor. Rye is always good and it tasted like good homemade jelly. Never had goetta before anywhere, and definitely liked it! The place was pretty busy, but they cleaned a table for me pretty fast. The food came out in good time. Had coffee with my food and got back out on the road.

What's striking about the restaurant itself is how quiet and calm it feels. With limited nightly seatings and every dinner table doing the tasting menu there's a sort of orchestrated flow that permeates the space. Not to say energy is low or it's so quiet you feel self-conscious talking; it's just that nothing about the experience feels rushed or accidental. As expected, the bread course was phenomenal as was all the food we enjoyed! We opted for the wine pairing along with dinner, which results in about 1.5 or 2 full glasses over the course of the meal. The sommelier did an excellent job introducing and explaining each wine, as well as why it was selected to pair with each course. All told, a lovely experience and one worth repeating--and not just because the menu changes every season.

We're eager…read moreto find a top-tier burger place in the area, though unfortunately this fell a little short of our expectations. Decided to split the Silver Charm for an appetizer, and it came about ten minutes later. The onion rings were decent, good flavor and somewhat crispy. The accompanying sauces of barbecue and ranch were both good as well, though both were missing something to elevate them a bit more I think. The flavor was good, but quite a small portion for $10. My wife ordered the Strike the Gold Burger and I went for the Northern Dancer Crispy Chicken. The sandwiches came out about ten minutes after we finished the Silver Charm, which was perfect timing. She liked her burger pretty well, and I took a bite too. The "caramelized onions" were definitely more sauteed, with still a bit of crunch, and otherwise I could really only taste the barbecue sauce, which was tasty, but I would have liked some more varied flavors. My chicken sandwich was... a bit disappointing. Rather than a chicken piece that appropriately fit the bun, it was more of a chicken strip, with bites that would only yield bun. In addition, because the chicken piece was so small, it was also extremely dry, which is a bummer because I actually thought the breading was very tasty. The chipotle aioli was decent, but didn't pack as much spice or flavor as I was hoping. And with only two toppings and a sauce on the whole sandwich, I was disappointed that the tomato was rather mushy and didn't seem fresh. I will say the fries that came with our sandwiches were crisp and well seasoned, and somewhat unfortunately the best part of my meal. Based on our experience, I didn't hate our dinner here and if someone invited me to meet them here, I wouldn't say no, but I'm also not going out of my way to revisit.

They had parking, and although they were full on reservations, 2 spots at the bar opened up and we grabbed them happily! First, the food was FANTASTIC! I had the Willy Burger and my husband had the fried bologna sandwich and we both loved what we ordered and vice versa. The sauce on the burger was phenomenal! The drink menu was extensive and looked so good but we were in a bit of a hurry and I'm 6 months pregnant so we settled for waters. Second, the service was excellent. Everyone was so kind and helpful. The ambience was great, I loved the big open garage door and patio seating they offered. The decor was so cute! We are bummed that brunch reservations for tomorrow are full, but we will absolutely be back!

They have a nice outdoor area, which we avoided due to the current heatwave. We ordered two apps - FRIED GREEN TOMATOES - Topped with Libby's pimento cheese, pork belly lardons, bourbon onion jam, and herb oil and FRIED CHICKEN SKINS - Hand breaded and served with hot honey dipping sauce. The fried green tomatoes were nicely plated, though the pork belly lardons and bourbon onion jam did not have the most pleasant color. They were good, but not as great as the description. Fried chicken skin is the thing! I first had it when we lived in California. An Asian market served them up thinly breaded and fried perfectly crispy. I just about jumped out of my skin when I saw it on the menu at Libby's. The breading at Libby's is thick. It's tasty for sure, but it's quite thick. A quick glance at the chicken skins and it looks like full-on chicken. Anyway, they were very good and I would definitely order them again. I had a taste of the hot honey dipping sauce because it spilled. It was good, but for me it detracted from the flavor I'm looking for. I had to have the FRIED BOLOGNA BLT - House smoked bologna, pimento cheese, fried egg, house made BBQ sauce, spring mix lettuce, & sliced green tomato on grilled 16 Bricks sourdough. First, it was huge! I could only eat half. It was very good. All the different flavors mixed together well. It was messy!! It was so obviously messy the server brought over extra napkins without us having to ask! Top Notch! Oh, the mac and cheese side was just okay. I barely touched it. The second half of the sandwich was delicious cold. It was also not messy at all. The leftover mac and cheese had turned inedible in the fridge. I did not mind throwing it out. My friend had the CLASSIC TURKEY CLUB. It was also huge and she only ate half. The fries were crispy and delicious. Mark had THE DOC HOLLADAY. He said it was okay. He also only ate half. I think he enjoyed the cold leftover more. I like the menu; lots of options. The place is cute. The staff is great. We'd definitely come back.

You know how most "casual French" places are either casual (translation: sloppy) or French…read more(translation: $38 for three bites and a life lesson)? This place somehow avoids both traps. It's the rare restaurant that delivers quality without acting like it deserves a TED Talk for doing so. The food is consistently strong...like "you actually remember what you ordered tomorrow" strong. No foam experiments, no deconstructed nonsense, just dishes that taste like the chef respects both the cuisine and your wallet. In today's market, that's practically a miracle... or at least a manager who hasn't lost his mind. Service? Shockingly competent. The staff is attentive without hovering like a helicopter parent at a kindergarten recital. That doesn't happen by accident, the chef/owner is clearly a pro. A class act who hires well, trains properly, and....brace yourself...seems to care. I know, it's unsettling. The ambience hits that sweet spot: warm, relaxed, and just upscale enough that you feel like you made a good decision... but not so fancy that you're Googling "which fork do I use" under the table. And then there's the location, right next to The Blind Lemon. Honestly, you might find yourself rooting for a wait just so you can wander next door for a drink. It's the only time in life where bad timing actually improves your evening. Bottom line: This place doesn't try to impress you, it just does. Solid food, fair prices, great service, and an owner who runs a tight ship without making it feel like boot camp. In a world full of overhyped dining "concepts," this is something radical: a restaurant that simply works.
