I love the take they have on breakfast and lunch food. They take the existing things that we all cherish and find a way to either make them better, make them different, elaborate on them, whatever have you! I had the Portobello Benny which was basically just their way of making a delicious eggs benedict with mostly vegetables and mushrooms. But instead of using English muffins it was more like ciabatta bread. Still so delicious! Covered in good cheese with eggs and vegetables. Was thoroughly good! My friend had The breakfast Club Panini which he said was pretty good and it also came with chips. Service was very friendly and even though they had messed up, they corrected themselves quickly and made sure that he was served the correct thing. I already can't wait to go back to Bellevue Bistro! The food was incredible. I had the Fette Sau breakfast bake, with eggs and potatoes and several different meats. While we were waiting for a table we saw multiple bakes come out and they all looked so delicious. Our service was also great - there was only one waitress and she did a great job taking care of everyone's orders. The only draw back to this place is that it's very tiny. There's maybe 10 tables in the whole place. We got lucky and only had to wait a few minutes for a table, but there's a chance when you get there you won't be able to sit for a while. There's not much of a waiting area either. This was our second attempt to go, since the first time there was no tables and there were 3 other parties ahead of us. The food was fine - we got the avocado toast with salmon and the French toast with berries. No complaints. But the wait for drinks, food, to pay the bill was just ridiculous. They had one waitress who was also the hostess, the table busser and cashier. She was a hard worker but overwhelmed. There was one man who came from the back and cleared three plates off a table and we never saw him again. He was probably the cook. We saw 8 parties leave with one commenting "after thirty minutes of waiting I guess we should leave since no one has even addressed us that we are standing here..." You get three large hunks of freshly (appearing to deep fried) French toast, dusted with powdered sugar, fruit, and syrup. I had the peanut butter caramel bourbon sauce option and my son had the chocolate with berries. The establishment isn't very big, but perfect for groups up to 4...maybe one group a little larger. The portobello Benedict skillet was great! The pesto and sautéed mushrooms took it over the top and added so much flavor. The cinnamon bread breakfast sandwich was a bit underwhelming. While the bread was very good the unmelted cheese over an egg felt very uninspired and lacked flavor. This would have been a great opportunity to use a house sauce or hot honey in tandem with more fillings such as veggies. Bellevue Bistro offers some of the best comfort food brunch options I've ever had. Literally everything on their menu sounds great, and all my visiting family loved everything we got. Sandwiches, benedicts, salads, sweets or savory, everything came out from the kitchen exactly how we ordered (and we made a few modifications), with great execution. Sure there's nothing excessively complex or difficult in some of these foods, but comfort food done well is a real comfort. read more

They have a solid menu with enough options to please everyone. I had the Fette Sau breakfast bake and french toast. I liked the bake, but it tasted much different than I was expecting. This used to be one of our favourite breakfast joints but the last couple of times had been less than stellar. That was a few years ago so we decided to give it another try. I'm happy to say they've regained their old form and this trip as everything was as good as we remembered from a long time ago. We especially always liked their breakfast and was what we got here. I tried a Kentucky Hot Brown which was a bed of biscuits covered with 2 fried eggs, bacon, turkey, cheddar jack, hollandaise sauce, crab, and tomatoes which left off of mine. It was a superb breakfast as it had a great base of biscuits and all of that delicious meat on there. They put just the right amount of sauce on there as it flavoured it perfectly without overpowering it. High recommendation for that dish. My wife loves their breakfast bakes and enjoyed the Surf And Turf one. The service was great the atmosphere was tremendous, and for us the Bellevue Bistro is back in the upper echelon of breakfast restaurants. read more

I would have loved some kind of sauce on it, but that may have been because of the modifications I had to make due to food allergies. Our server was friendly and attentive. The establishment is small in size but still comfortable. While waiting for my food I found lots of tiny Star Wars memorabilia scattered in obscure locations. They were very accommodating with modified orders, definitely a plus and greatly appreciated. I loved the down to earth, no frills service here (not a big fan of overly 'friendly' service that stops by every 5 mins) - our service showed up whenever she needed to and kept our water glass full. I had the Bellevue bake - loved it but would love more complexity (e.g., some veggies). My partner had the Fette Sau and he loved his (I also loved his!), the mixing of flavors was good there and it's more 'fun' to eat compared to the bellevue. We also shared the french toast - I'm not a big fan of French toast but the French toast here was definitely one of my favorites. I ate half a plate despite 'not loving French toast' (lmao yes). This was a great stop with delicious food and I love the vibes. First, their avocado toast had to be my favorite, with honey drizzle, fresh avocado, fresh tomatoes, and eggs. Also I really wan to mention the salmon Benny. It had sun-dried tomatoes, which were the perfect touch to its amazing biscuit, salmon, and WAY too many asparagus pieces. Another favorite is the French toast. Three pieces of homemade bread deep fried with care along with chocolate sauce and strawberries. Very thick, though. The goetta grilled cheese had a weird nutty taste and texture that wad not good at all with the weird American cheesiness of the sandwich, served with some yummy potatoes! Cinnabread sandwich, on tasty cinnamon bread, a bit too thick for one's likings, and did not need the American cheese. Then there was the Bellevue Brown, which was not good. It was basically just eggs and biscuit mashed together. A customer says,"They are trying to smash together too many things on one plate," The coffee was terrible, and the service was fine.
